It's time to recognize Domination is bad.
Seed22 replied to Replacement's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I've seen lots of builds cap def AND have perma dom. It's not perma dom that does it in, as the amount of recharge after hasten needed is a measly 53% through IOs to be AT perma dom. It's perma hasten that trips people up. So no, this is all kind of an overexaggeration. -

I'd have to disagree. IF done right the market can yield 100s of mill in a few hours, beating farming by a landslide. -

Now the XP nerf? I disagree with. I mean they're playing the game the way they want to, what exactly is wrong with that? -

I'm still farming and making decent inf, AND getting all those succulent purps. At first I was a bit irked by the change but now? Eh, don't care enough. Not like my farm build was impacted, so I can just farm like I do, generate my 100s of mill in inf, and pimp out my 50s. Though, I do need to now think about the build long and hard before building it in order to assess whether it's an inf sink(get bored after a week) or a cash cow(play for months like my ice/time blaster and handful of other 50s). I'll always be a "have" so I don't have to worry about the whole argument vs have-nots imo. -
This pretty much. I've seen a few PBs do this before, but honestly, after all is said and done I don't kick em. I think what I'll do is hop on my fire/atomic blaster and kill everything before they get a chance to do this

Hm...interesting take. Though you should consider being less of a PITA on the forums though. Not gonna get a good message across here if you do that. Plus that's how he does his teams, why does that concern you?

You know...a double inf token would be neat! maybe have it work in TFs or in general content like the DXP ones? -

When I talk about curbed, I mean in terms of the macro-economical sense. Micro, sure, it'll work in certain sectors for sure. But then it might spike again in another. Like eh...catalyst maybe? And, my apologies for not being clear in that regard. I THINK overall that people here may feel as though this'll curb inflation in a MACRO sense, which I once again feel will not be true. It will probably make it better in some sectors sure, but once again, potentially much worse in others. That's pretty much all I'm trying to get at. Edit: Quick question to make sure I'm reading this right(there are a LOT of opinions here lol) are you saying it will drive inflation rates DOWN? or are you wanting them to stay the same? That's a question for everyone who reads this too, btw. -

You know I thought I heard of every asinine thing possible, and then THIS shows up. I hope it's sarcasm. Please say sike. -

Oh no, I'm aware of it's definition, and it still cannot truly be curbed(i.e restrained). The rate of inflation hasn't changed and won't. Yellows are still the price they were before this change(50k a pop and such), and purps are still fixed. So my comment still is correct and still stands. In the long-term, like I said(which is what most people don't look at) it won't change, i.e inflation won't be curbed, which means overall this...kinda did nothing, actually. -

Theoretically sure, but yeah nah it didn't. everything is...pretty much the same, which I guess is a good thing kinda -

This couldnt be more wrong. Most farmers I know of tend to get enough for themselves(usually enough to IO out a new toon they're interested in) then dump the rest for stupid cheap. Farmers are not some evil force. People who complain lack the(and I don't really care who this offends) mental capability to build one. That's a YOU problem, not some evil force. Learn and do better. -

It doesnt curb inflation. I mean, inflation cant. Be. curbed. ever. It exist naturally and WILL exist. Now will this create a new equilibrium? In the short run, maybe. Long run, no. It'll be ass for sure because I like farming and getting 100s of millions in two runs, but now I have to do it in 3, eh. But I don't agree it'll tank the market and I know it won't curb inflation or some other outlandish theory that crops up. -

Now that will be a detriment to the economy. You got thunderspy for inefficient old ways, not HC. -

Not that big of a deal my guy, chill. RNGesus isn't even that bad either! Without farming you'll prob get buttloads of purps, and even MORE farming. Sure I hate not getting my double INF, but only because now I can't splurge on 50s at frivolously. "valuable player" yeah....never heard of you. We're ALL valuable players. You're not unique or special in any way here. -

I still farm on my brute, however, now I think farmers will(and should) be a bit more frivolous with their inf. When I build back my billions(spent it making two high end 50s), I know I'm going to start storing it on some 50s. Keep the purps and such from the farms and store em on other 50s too. I was gonna start donating to contest and such seeing as I'd have the inf back in no time, but I'll need all the inf I can get for these builds. -
Gonna disagree a little further. Fire/Earth/Ice or Fire. Pretty much AoE death on wheels. Oh and ST too(Seismic Smash says hi)

City of Heroes vs. Champions Online - The Data
Seed22 replied to _NOPE_'s topic in General Discussion
Not necessarily! Actually, CO's difficulty lies only in endgame, and that's due to the community really. Unless the same people who lead the community in these raids show up, it's a guaranteed failure or at least a slog. But otherwise? Nah, you can build a suboptimal build and not really be pressed throughout the game. Though everyone, once again, is shoehorned into a half-done WoW clone scenario by endgame(generic healer builds, for instance) -

Seed22 replied to _NOPE_'s topic in General Discussion
You can't. Trust me I've tried. 41 40s, 6 are "pet" FFs. it's not horrdenous but it is bad for endgame and generic in terms of every pet master is a hodge-podge of pets instead of a set like CoH. Controllers don't exist, period. -
I think regen is pretty okay...on a stalker. But outside of them, it's simply outclassed in every feasible way, not just in-AT but in other ATs who don't even HAVE survival sets. It could use some help

That I can understand. It kinda reminds me of golden girl; mad about Bio armor because she made a sub par toon.

Now see...and hang with me on this here of a doozy...this isn't Paragon. Paragon, like HC, wasn't perfect. They would more than likely of changed things anyway. these are the new devs, would you have complained this much at Paragon if they made the changes?

This thread reminds me I need to finish IOing my necro/dark. First 50 upon relaunch and sitting half IO’d..

I seemed to go the opposite it seems. Earlier I preferred a slower more nuanced approach to things. It made me really have a slew of 50 defs/trollers. But now I’m strangely all about damage. Maybe it’s my hectic schedule irl that’s bleeding over into my game preferences haha
