  1. This is how I'd do it although I'd probably pick Maiming Slash instead of, well something.   2. You are very right but since the discussion is about Pool powers, I thought I'd bring just the Hasten part, but I totally agree with you. Thing is, even if Domination was changed and somehow not tied to recharge, most builds would still require Hasten or most likely perma-Hasten to be considered optimal.
  3. Leadership is a lot more than just Maneuvers, especially since the Focused Accuracy nerf Tactics is great power to have and so is Vengeance
  4. Also, there should be probably a review of the power pools that are a "must" on pretty much every char. Ages ago, Castle nerfed Acrobatics (and it was the right thing to do) because Pool powers should not be better than powers from the chosen powerset (and mag 100 KB prot was silly) but he pretty much stopped there reviewing Pool Powers and, although Synapse also did something later on due for i24, he never addressed the "must haves" such as Hasten, which I personally think is main cause of imbalance in the game but that's just me, that is a must have in pretty much 99% of the builds. Of course, Hasten itself would deserve a more thorough approach since the ramifications of balancing / tweaking / reviewing / nerfing / call it what you want it are much wider and could have heavy impact in other areas, such as Dominators and permadom. I personally hate being "forced" to take Hasten in every Dominator I roll to get permadom and I know it has no easy solution, still, since Power Pools are going to be discussed, I thought I'd bring the subject of Hasten up, that's all.

I wholeheartedly agree with but, besides that, there's the issue of the Pools pretty much nobody uses and have no atatcks, such as Presence (despite whatever it is Synapse did with it) and the Pools that some people choose just as mules or because they have no other choice such as Medicine or Concealment which I think should also be addressed if not totally re-done.

  10. At first sight, you'll get slightly better rchg by slotting 4 x Cloud Senses in Living Shadows. If you devote 5 slots as you did, you can get two dmg procs there. On Dark Grasp, you're missing either a shitload of dmg if you proc it to the gills or 2.5% rchg if you used a Basilisk's Gaze x4, can make up for the s/l def with different slotting in Vicious Slash. Personally, I never take Haunt because it is of no use for me, I much prefer the AoE hold which, at permadom lvls should have enough rchg to be used often enough. I also tend to favor Leaderhip since Maneuvers gives me freedom to slot attacks in a different way instead of depending on sets for the s/l def cap and Tactics sorts any to hit issues. The combo is awesome and your build should do the job, still, I'd change a few things around as mentioned. This is closer to what I'd do, can't access my build atm, I got a few more purples and I think I skipped Unkindness (I think), still, this build is enough for permadom and Ageless will sort all your end issues.   13. Mind favors ranged and with Dark, despite being more effective in melee, gives you the option to play ranged or melee.
  14. Happy with my BS/DA Scrapper, the good thing about DA is that, even if scrappers have lower resist caps, it has other forms of dmg mitigation and yep, I'm aware said mitigation is also available for Brutes, what I am saying is that the higher res cap is not such a big advantage.

Heya, I've been musing about an ice/earth dominator since I liked the idea of ice slick + fissure + tremor but then I realized both Fissure and Tremor are KB Mag 0.67 so, although it is effectively KD, my fear is that adding this 0.67 to ice slick will turn it into KB again. According to Mid's, if I slot a KB to KD enhancement in Fissure and another in Tremor, their KB mag lowers from 0.67 to 0.25 but if memory serves, I was under the impression that the Sudden Acceleration KB to KD just converted any KB Mag into 0.67 so not sure Mid's is right here. Can anyone please confirm if using a KB to KD will reduce the KB mag further below 0.67? Thank you very much indeed for your help.
  18. Got an elec/shield stalker myself and love him. I personally found electric melee a tad lackluster on scrappers and very lackluster on brutes. I love using lightning rod and shield charge which don't break stealth and then AS the boss.

  21. I personally use Basilisk Gaze, I am all for procs but this power takes too long to recharge for the procs, although having greater firing chance, to be noticeable.
  22. A friend of mine has one and he deeply regrets pairing Earth with Ice. Earth is awesome, but apparently, /ice is kinda "meh". Never tried ice myself so cannot comment, Earth though is truly amazing.
  23. I personally always skip the single target immob, salt crystals and on domis I also skip quicksand. The cast is too long and it's precious time I could spend doing some pewpew instead and being /earth a heavy melee set, my mudpots can do the job. As to stone cages, I take it and use as a mule for certain sets but I barely use it at high lvls, Tremor + Fissure don't leave many enemies alive tbh.
  24. On the other hand, the -def from Katana attacks does wonders for Oppressive Gloom, Cloak of Fear and Death Shroud to hit adding to both your dmg and survivability.
