  2. Yep, afraid the nerf to Whirling Hands went pretty much unnoticed among the turmoil for the travel powers suppression since those were on the "other powers" thread. I just wonder if that nerf was really necessary, was the old Whirling Hands THAT game breaking?

  5. This was mine before being deleted and reimagined as Fire/Earth. I didn't want 3 /Earth dominators so kept Dark/Earth and Fire/Earth. Anyway, can't complain, permadom, softcapped to S/L/Nrg, scary dmg output and tons of control. I'd prolly wouldn't delete him now but hey ho. Okay, I give up, all I can see is someone saying "boohoo Mind sucks because it has no Seeds of Confusion" , another one saying "boohoo Mind sucks because Mass Confusion takes a lot to recharge and Telekinesis uses a lot of end" and a third one that says... well, not sure what he says but I'm sure he'll reply along the lines "well, I am a min/maxer and everyone else's builds suck because I am a min/maxer". You win, Mind Control sucks even with 5 "respects" because you can't play it so that for sure means it has to be revamped so all of us who enjoy playing it and have no problem with it are obviously wrong *sigh*
  7. You don't have a clue of what have I played or not or how many years I've been playing live or not, all I see here is someone moaning because Mind has a couple skippable powers. Can those be tweaked? certainly they can but that is not saying that Mind is broken, it's precisely the opposite, it is currently overpowered. Let's do something, you do not assume what have I played or not and I will not assume you don't know how to play Mind Control.
  8. Yes they are and you don't have the facts right. On a well played Mind Dom, especially Mind/Psi you can solo TFs if you play them right, if you don't, then you come to forums and cry for a revamp.

That bullshit at so many lvls I can't even start... ah well Perhaps you have too much respect for the set To OP, I love Dark but Mind is seriously OP on Dominators, yet, it is not for everyone as you can see in the thread. Also, I take you were after advice on what to choose although now, after reading again your original post "Discuss, please?" I am not so sure anymore of what did you want with this thread exactly. Seriously, forums are getting something like the Sharknado series, tehy're so bad I can't stop watching but I guess I'll have to take a break for my own sake, only so much bullshit I can take...
  11. Staff/WP Despite staff losing its uniqueness on stalkers, animations are still fun and I do not complain about the dmg, then with WP, well a 2k HP stalker with a self heal is damn hard to kill.

  13. That's a big pile of crap btw, just saying... To OP: Pretty much any char you roll will do fine. If you are partial to a controller, then roll one or, if you prefer, a Dominator so you can both pew pew and you still have crowd control.

Softcapping positional defenses is something you will not get on a DA or if you did, that build would be so gimped it would be unplayable plus, lack of defense debuff protection would make the effort pretty much futile. I'd say to focus on S/L/Melee defense and build up your resistances. Also, although probably not so much on a stalker, I am one of those weird guys who believe Dark Armor's survivability is a mix of everything, def, res, mez and dmg so i'd take Oppressive Gloom. If you focus your build in S/L/Melee def instead of positionals, not only will be much easier to achieve, you will also be able to address other problems such as high endurance consumption.
  15. Nope, not really, not missing pretty much anything there except maybe a set mule. Plenty of powers in the combo that deal more dmg and are more useful.

Hmm, depends on team composition but I usuallly open with possess + fearsome stare then living shadows - feral charge - heart of darkness and then depends, rending flurry, shadow field if recharged... I cycle the attacks differently. The only thing is that I pretty much always use Call Hawk on melee despte it being a ranged attack but basically possess + fearsome stare + living shadows and then it's a matter of getting in melee with feral charge. I try to keep at least a couple dmg procs in the single target hold since those usually hit quite hard when procced but this build is way too tight on slots I'm afraid
  18. Yep, hot feet is the highest endurance consumption toggle in game so, having myself a Fire/Earth Domi, I feel your pain. On the bright side, it will be sorted out when you get Ageless T3 on your Destiny slot. Regarding the build, I see a heavy investment in some sets for little return benefit, at the end of the day you're not softcapped to anything whils you have spent a lot on +def sets and in endurance consumption toggles. The s/l res is good but the combination of some def + res, although it can be decent, it is not imho the ideal scenario, especially for the investment done. I personally would do something like this, softcapped to s/l and nrg, some s/l res and enough procs to do some good pew pew. The build favors using bothe melee and ranged attacks from melee range though. Also, this build needs Ageless to run, at least T3 and if possible, T4. I hope this gives you a starting point at least.   19. Personally I'd go Dark/Dark. Had a Dark/Time but I ended up deleting it because it was way too clicky for my taste, wish we could have an auto-power per tray but apparently, according to a bunch of idiots, that'd make an army of bots flock to the game plus people would afk farm (as if they didn't do so now) and we'd be doomed forever so we all need to give up on qol improvements for the peace of mind of a few.
  20. Well, I am partial to DA and on a stalker it's actually fun to lvl up because it has two less toggles than Scrappers / Brutes / Tanks. Having said that, I also like WP on stalkers, having 2K HP on a Stalkers is great tbh. For combos, with DA i would use either Savage or Psi and with WP I'd go staff or StJ. *Edit*: Oopsie, didn't realize you already rolled a Psi/Inv sorry
  21. Another solution to make other power pool choices more desirable would be to make Hasten inherent so people might choose other pools instead of Speed thus getting more diversity. I know it sounds crazy but due to the amount of builds that require Hasten or perma´Hasten for full efficiency, it's not too different to Stamina and the move devs did by making Fitness Pool inherent, just saying...
