  1. Same goes for DM/Rad. Saying it is more or less expensive is one thing which will be true for some people and not true for others but saying that after spending lots of inf best you can get is around mid 30% is simply not true.   4. Softcapping S/L def would be a must for me. Another trick would be adding the KD proc from Avalanche winter set in ground zero which added to Particle Shielding and Radiation Therapy should keep any scrapper alive without major issues. Other primaries have also different survivability tools that add to these, Mass Levitate in Psi Melee, KD in War Mace, Ice patch in Ice melee... in your case, you benefit from Siphon Life to keep your hp bar topped and if you softcapped your scrapper to S/L, then you'd also benefit greatly from your DM's inherent To Hit Debuff.
  5. No ide why other ppl do it, I find it fun, although blasters are now far more survivable than they were back in live, it's still fun, feel like being a bit on the edge.

  8. What do you need to know? Pretty much any blaster can be a blapper, favourite sets of mine are /nrg, /mc, /nin and favourite primaries are atomic/, water/ and elec/ but that's just personal choice, there are plenty that work fine for blapping
  9. It does stack. Also, I don't think I'd roll an Illusion Dominator if PA was changes by something else. Prolly getting rid of GI and having an AoE Immob like someone suggested or something along those lines would be the best tweak for me.
  10. I used to have one back in live but can't honestly remember if it was good combo or not. The build for me is pretty straightforward anyway, aiming for the usual S/L def cap and using as many procs as possible to maximize dmg. This is probably how I'd build one nowadays.   13. Also,, the +rchg domis also pursue for permadom would also pave the way towards perma PA so it's a win-win scenario. I hate that most times I need to get compromises with certain powers because of needing +rchg for permadom but here, you get double benefit in exchange for that extra rchg compromise

  19. Earth. Plant is favorable to melee and Earth is pure melee. Martial as second option. Rad is also melee oriented but it has way too slow animations to be fun.
  20. That happens now with a lot of sets, Elec Armor, SR, Nin... it's the denial of reality they did back in the day "the game is balanced around SO's". I don't there's anyone interested in doing i8 chars (and when I say anyone, I mean a siginificant percenteage of the playerbase to justify that statement).
  21. Hmmm, precisely Invulnerability was quite a lame underperforming set until Castle tweaked it and left it on a very sweet spot, solid and reliable (albeit a tad boring) set so I would not understand nerfing it.

  23. Personally, for DA I am partial to Ice. Ice patch saves you from turning CoF and OG on and off if you want to herd. Invuln is a great set but a tad dull so I'd pair it with a busy set that adds some form of active mitigation. Personally I love it with Stone Melee but War Mace would also be great. Dark Melee is also a great option for either DA and Invuln.
