I have to argue against this. Were it true, incarnate powers would still be locked behind I-Trials. TFs couldn't be started by a single player. Double-XP wouldn't exist. Granted, a lot of the changes we have now were put in place during the "super secret private server" days when they had a much smaller population, but they weren't dumped by the powers that be, either. Yes, the game fascists exist but I don't run with them and they don't affect my game time.

Last few runs I've done I ended up using hover. Takes a while, of course, but peeling them off one at a time seems to work.

While true, there's a whole lot more of us that don't care what you bring to a TF or how you build as long as you're not an asshat and have fun. Mostly because we CAN just run to the end without stealth, not die, and ATT everyone should the team WANT to do that instead of just slappin down everything in the way, as I prefer. I've only got 4 people on my gignore list so far and not one of them got that way because of something that happened while I teamed with them. But if someone were to say to me "you're a selfish player because you didn't take X, Y or Z powers/pools," they'd be on that list immediately. Cuz those people just suck.

Strip, nuke and move on. I'm currently on Warp Core number 10 or so. Think I finally found a keeper as a fire/rad corruptor. Something has to leap out as "yes, this works" for me to keep going with a character. If that doesn't happen, I have zero issues with deleting them.

I can second this. FA/SM was one of my first tanks with HC and while he's in dire need of a proper build and more play time, the extra AoE from FA and the extra mitigation from all the knock in SM play very well together.
