That part absolutely was toxic to provide an example. But no more toxic than claiming I create toxic environments by removing toxic elements from my field of view. That is the refuge of those that know they are in the wrong: "Waaaahhhhh, you won't let me spew my <insert whatever here> so you're oppressing me!!!" More succinctly: -

Isn't this exactly what Castle and BAB did with claws? The whole set was rebalanced around the cast times and it led to some interesting problems. Namely, me on beta tearing through a pylon in what would even be considered today a horrifically broken time. Yea, it was fixed, but it can be argued that claws/spin continues to be considerably overpowered for its cost. -

The costs? Really? You mean all that fake money that rains from the game in buckets? LotG +recharges are 7.5mil each. They're freaking cheap and a permabuff. You don't even have to have the power on in which they're slotted. It takes far more "effort" to make hasten permanent than it does to get 70% perma recharge from set bonuses. Should we also purge the Force Feedback chance for +100% recharge? I mean, hell, that's just one IO that is more powerful than hasten. It's not even unique. AND it "unfairly" benefits those sets with more knock powers. I wasn't skipping powers from other players, I was ignoring them fully. I look at the game from the soloist view. Anything extra that comes from teaming is just that... extra. -

Think that'd be less power creep and more power jump. Just as removing hasten would be a global nerf. -

You obviously aren't reading your own thread. The only deceit here is the one you're laying on yourself in your attempt to ignore your own biased and myopic view. So please attempt to curb the "you don't agree with my opinion because you're stupid" attitude with statements like "To put it into terms most people I believe can understand" when you're the one sitting back ignoring or being incapable of understanding every other way this game offers to get a permanent +70% recharge bonus. Ways that have already been listed in this very thread multiple times by other players. -

My hopes: Make the original claws/swipe cat on acid clawing at a post animation an alternate for eviscerate. Port the claws/followup left hand alternate animation that exists with hover to exist while not hovering. Port energy melee dominator changes to all other energy melee sets. Create alternate hand animations, randomly utilized for all attack sets where it makes sense. Example, Dark Melee attack chain of MG, Gloom, SL, Gloom is ALL left handed. Would be nice if it went right every now and then. -
Unsure. All I'm seeing is the +max hp from durability and dull pain.

The only thing really jumping out at me that I do differently is that I prefer the scrapper AT IO +crit in single target attacks for when I'm cutting into hard targets like AVs and GMs. It's a nice build.

I love the stone attack sets. The sound fx of stone cages hitting its mob cap very well may be my favorite sfx in the whole game. And after finding the abject joy of a 100% melee earth/earth dominator, I'm gonna second that choice. If you find that too squishy, I also have several other stone melee users. A fire/stone tank is a sight to behold. Wanna go pure smash nonstop carnage? A stone/wp brute is a gorram hoot.

Just for giggles, I cranked up a no temps, no deaths solo ITF at +1 (so they'd at least be even con) with my fire/bio sent. Took about an 1.5 hours and got the MoITF badge. Didn't realize until I was fighting final Rom that I had never turned on a bio adaptation. May spec up the build for more damage and try again at +4. Doubly amusing since I thought I already had the MoITF badge.

I don't on my DM/Inv brute. SL is just another attack that happens to top off my health bar. That said, there's probably some procs out there that might be a solid fit if you can fit them in. EDIT: heh, as Redlynne just posted.

@Nemu That is very pretty. Why flares instead of fire blast? No rain of fire? That is definitely a melee centric build. Nice defense. Are aging touch and future pain really good enough to lean on so heavily?

This is true. But why would they want that? I'm not coming up with any cases outside of maybe final Rom's res mez where it would be needed. PvP for more mez resist?

Believing in things that aren't true is no way to go through life. Tanks got a substantial damage increase. My SR/Claws tank is now BARELY behind my near-identically built Claws/SR brute on ST damage and is ahead when in full aoe chain mode. Every other tank I've built since the recent changes, and every other tank I tested with after the changes had noticeable improvement. This isn't gaslighting. It's math.

I went the other way with my human-only warshade. He's a chaos mage and not a warshade at all.

My fire/bio sent is fully tricked out and tends towards never dying. If yall are talking Excel for the ITF run, I'd love a spot.

As much as I love bio armor, it is very clicky and kinda high maintenance. Granted, you also get some really good benefits upping your kill speed for that extra work. But if you really want to go cruise control for groovy, I'd go with claws/willpower. WP's only click power is the Tier9. This combo allows you to focus on nothing but the destruction.

Or just accept that every AT is unnecessary and everything can be done with anything. Play what feels good to you, make it awesome, don't be an asshole and others will enjoy your company. Scuse me while I go provide rooted feet to the face with my ma/stone brute. Or tear into an aggro caps worth of baddies with my sr/claws tank. Or just be gorram sexy as hell with the original claws/sr scrapper.
