  1. Looking through the builds thread and now this, seems that most consider the human-only route to be nothing short of self-nerfing. Which kinda bums me out, considering that was the plan on my original Khel rebuilds. I was tri-form on live. Don't have the patience to do it again. Black_Assassin, I see what you're going for on the build you posted, but my brain seizes up any time I see proc-monster builds. I'm guessing you don't actually use Kick, Boxing and Brawl, and they're only there and slotted as they are for the recharge debuff resistance? And you would count on the +recharge from cross punch's sudden acceleration proc to keep light form truly perma? Do you you find that much recharge debuff resistance necessary for other characters you play? I've never even thought to chase it beyond using the Winter's Gift Slow Resist.
  2. It'll be fine. Permaclipse + Clarion and three Fluffies can get a lot done. Granted, it will never be an AV killer.
  3. I'll keep watchin. WS is PLed to 50 now. Just gotta work up a good human-only build, then I'll be able to run at x8 and see it more clearly. But gotta get the PB PLed to 50 first. Then I'll knock out both builds. I did triform on both on live but I don't have the reaction time or patience for that these days.
  4. Mids states the proc is a Mag 2 Confuse to Target. CoD states the same. 2.5 PPM Chance for Confuse.
  5. Kinda on topic, I've got two chance for knockdown procs, a self-heal proc and that Cupid's Crush chance for Confuse in Orbiting Death on a new warshade. The knockdowns and self heal are working fine but the confuse I haven't seen fire off at all. Anyone have info on that?
  6. It might just be a text error? If you grab the power analyzer, tag the pylon with it, watch its defense, does it get reduced at all? Edit: My combat tab has General Combat, Damage Inflicted and Hit Rolls but I see nothing when I set Slash on auto in regard to its defense debuffs. However, Combat Analyzer is showing the defense debuffs drop the pylon's defense levels.
  7. You are correct. I ran my farmer a bit this morning to check something and it would be trivial to have an alt sit at the door to soak up the threads. But, hey, tanks did get nerfed in my absence. They listen to me! 🙂
  8. I have! And I do! But I'm impatient and want them T4ed. Hmmmmmmmmm.
  9. I did not know this. Went and looked but sadly, there's not much there. 540 threads per rare salvage seems a bit steep. Edit: Which got me wondering how many tickets my farmer had, but that number turned out to be zero. I only farmed to PL alts.
  10. May we please turn incarnate threads into Empyrean Merits? My main is sitting on 2430 threads. The best I can do with them is convert them to Super Insps and sell them on the market but I've already flooded it so the funds I'm getting are crap. I have alts. They could use some transcendents. Please and thank you? Edit: I already have 14 T4s on him. C'mon!
  11. After this last break I took, I found myself mentioning to others how poor I was. My main had like 100mil on him and I was so sure that at one time I was rich. I've got one bin in the base for purples and there's like 12 in there. What had happened to my wealth? Then I checked email. Oh, good, there's a couple billion. Then my second account. Oh, good, there's a lot more. Then I checked all my 50s, and there's a couple pages worth, all loaded to the gills with purples, pvps, etc. +5ed, catalyzed, maxed out. Started diving through all my alts just to see what was what and sure enough... I ain't poor. But my wealth came not from marketeering. Nay, it came from killing mine enemies. And I kill well, so I feel wealthy enough. Plus my brother doesn't play anymore and I already have his blessing to raid his accounts should the need arise, so there's that, too. As 1954 stated above, it is subjective. I'm nowhere near being a trillionaire, like I suspect quite a few of you are, but I'm wealthy enough to get the job done. And apparently I have enough reward merits to fully kit out several more characters. I really should get around to spending those one day. Also, I just made 100mil selling ultimate insps to whoever is buying them for 1.5 mil to flip them for 2mil.
  12. I'll admit, if attempting to measure powerset to powerset, I'd have to call foul on using any powers outside of said AT powers. Tests should be done with X attack set, with a common Y defense set, as Ston did, but power pool and epic attacks shouldn't be in the mix. We all know gloom/moonbeam are broken in comparison to actual AT powerset powers. One can argue that they're OP for all sets, but given that they're skewing the results for some sets more than others should be taken into account.
  13. That's exactly how I view going proc-monster. The loss of set bonuses I have in place would be a major hit to my damage mitigation and just not worth the effort.
  14. It's very strange to me to see scrappers so low on both lists.
  15. BZB Scrapper - Unslotted my incarnate powers, fired off PB after hasten autofires like always, 6:03 as per the NPC chat. Compared to the 2:20 average earlier. Edit: Reslotted incarnates but didn't click hybrid assault: 3:30. That's probably why I started testing with it on. Also did not use pyronic on either of these runs. Edit2: Yikes, pyronic is DEFINTELY improving my DPS. Hybrid yes, pryonic no, 3:08. Lots of misses on last two runs though. RNG is mad at me.
  16. I'm of both minds on this. On the one hand, unslotting my passive incarnate powers is a PitA and I fire off Assault and Pyronic constantly in my normal game, so why not play normally to get a idea what kind of DPS I'm pushing out? On the other hand, this all started back in the before times and the rules were no temps, no insps, no nothin but your base powers and your SOs and HOs. Does make me curious though. Gonna go get some times with all incarnates unslotted on BZB Scrap. That's another thing about the test pylons, though. A real test means I'm spending time firing off Practiced Brawler to avoid getting knocked around. With the test pylons, I don't even need to do that. Or even have any toggles on at all. A lot has changed since the SOHO days, back when I was running permalude before ED and the GDN. But we should all be generally ok with letting folks use the test as they see fit, methinks. Long as data isn't being skewed by folks withholding info.
  17. WTH? These must have been added during my last break. Had no idea we had training pylons now. Not sure how I feel about that. I always considered the incoming damage/knock from the real pylons to be part of the test. As I'm typing this out and kept testing, I realized I like them. I can bring out my squishies I never really bothered with before. BZB Scrapper still sits at the 2:10 to 2:30 mark with hybrid enabled. Claws/SR/Nrg. Standard Followup, Focus, Slash, repeat attack chain but I'll do followup, focus, pyronic if it's up. I'm happy with those times. I know I could change things up, go proc heavy, take dark mastery, but Bill's been happily stuck in his ways for decades. HK-666, claws/bio/nrg, got 1:50 to 2:00 with the same attack chain. Took my fire/time blaster, Incendema Tempa, in there. I have no idea how to play her for maximized killing efficiency. Future Pain does 376.36 damage. If I use Time Wall before FP, FP does 391.64 and TW does 76.73. Not sure TW is worth the time to cast it. Kinda settled on Future Pain, Blazing Bolt, Blaze, Flares, throwing in Chronos, Aim and Pyronic instead of Flares when able. She sits around 2:15 with Assault Core enabled. Honestly, I expected better than that. Question for my pylon killin/number crunchin brethren. When it comes to incarnate powers for best killing times I settled on the following. Musculature Core for everyone. Assault Core for Blasters, Scrappers, Corruptors and Stalkers. Assault Radial for everyone else. Degen Core for everyone. Are these still considered the best choices for maximum DPS? Edit: Heh. My Dark/Pain Controller using Dark Grasp, Arcane Bolt, repeat with Umbra Beast and Haunts out when available got it done in 9:30 with Control Total Core Graft. Edit2: Nrg/Bio/Soul scrapper gets around 1:30. Or 1:00. Lots of lucky crits making ET short. Guess going proc monster is the only way to improve all these times?
  18. I played my Inv/Nrg tank earlier today, Uncle Unstoppable. He can't solo a single lvl 54 AV to save his life because he doesn't have ET or TF. His ST damage output is anemic at best. But he was specifically designed for one purpose: Survive everything, punchvoke and taunt. He's exceptionally good at his job. This is his bio: I did do it all for the nookie. You may think I'm super unknown now but I was down on the upside in utero, yo. To my enemies, I ain't nuthin but a pretty hate machine with a purple core! Yea, nevermind. Yes, I went for maximum cringe. In comparison, my Shield/Nrg tank, Zariela, can clear an MITF with Werner rules faster than ANY other character in my roster. She's doesn't even have taunt. She's also built for one purpose: Kill what's in front of her, regardless of the target. Her attack chain is Slow-ET. TF. Fast-ET, Gloom, BS, repeat. Level 54 AVs all fall before her. She has no bio written. She doesn't need one. A tank is a character archetype in city of heroes. Nothing more, nothing less. It can be built to however the player chooses to build it. We don't need some wannabe know-it-all telling us what is and what isn't. We shape this universe. Their opinions are meaningless. Both of these characters are tanks. Edited for rudeness.
  19. You really should give it a try, GP. It's pretty much cruise control for cool. Kinda crazy what happens with all the resists backing incarnate softcapped defense when you've got the tanker +damres IO and that other scaling resist IO stacking on top of SR's scaling resists. And, of course, the perma capped DDR.
  20. He's a devil. He kills gods. Edit: Shield > SR. Just by the math. And they won't let us have claws/shield. Which is dumb. I could have another set of claws grafted to the shield. Nrg Melee > Claws on ST damage by far. Much < Claws on AoE. Regardless, the EM/Shield is going to trounce AVs FAR faster and safer than the Claws/SR.
  21. Especially if you're into soloing lowbies? A damn near pauseless attack chain with nothing but slash, swipe, strike, swipe, repeat? And then you get spin? About to snag Integration. Still hate mez in this game. It's a death sentence. Edit: No, I'm not. No mez prot until 16? Have I been away so long I forgot that?
  22. I went claws/regen. Haven't tried out regen since the last round of changes. I assume it's still the worst secondary but maybe tolerable again?
  23. What's not to love? I have too many claws scrappers. I'm gonna go make another.
  24. My crashes cleared up but I'm unsure why.
  25. I like it! Thanks, Devs.
