I'm not disagreeing at all, but I think a lot of folks, including myself, would greatly enjoy reading about this in much higher detail.

So out of 252555 members, only 1601 are in game and only 164 are currently reading the forums. I fail to see how 10% of the playing population is a "small fraction." I also fail to see how anything the devs have done has been beneficial to the playing population. Perhaps it's entirely out of their hands.

You provided an incredibly narrow view of powerset balance. Another view would be time from 1 to 50 solo on SOs. Another would be time from 1 to 50 solo on basic IOs. Another would be time from 1 to 50 solo on IO sets. Each run pushing difficulty to the no faceplant range. Adjusting for these performance ranges wouldn't involved rewriting the entire game. It would only involve altering the base AT damage mods.

20 maps (might have become 21 maps, something went wonky once,) from 1 to 50. 6 mins per map. 120 mins. 2 hours. But that's trucking it with only one or two quicky smoke breaks. That was my standard for leveling an alt for ages. I'm sure maps with large numbers of helper NPCs probably goes faster. I'm sure that better farmers than my fire/claws are also faster. 2 hours to 50 seems very normal.

Aye. So as a balance point to removing the emps to reward merits conversion, the devs should add a threads to emp conversion.

Even after staring at the option to do so many a time, I had to be reminded that one could convert emps to reward merits because I had never done it. When reminded, my first response was, "well that's dumb and should be removed." Lo and behold... Leave 'em account locked. Leave 'em in AE because XP/iLevels/Unlocks should happen regardless of where the XP comes from. Keep on with the removal of the emps to reward conversion.

Maybe if you team all the time and have constant buffers around you. I absolutely did NOT find it on par with any other secondary while I was leveling that fire/regen brute. It was only AFTER I went to test and grabbed RoP on top of MoG on top of Hybrid Melee that it became tolerable and I certainly don't need any of that on other brutes.
