  1. Adding maybe 5 more characters to how long a name can be would be nice indeed.
  2. Make it so. 🙂
  3. I also like the idea of having all drops match your origin, that was suggested earlier. Or automatically be converted to your origin when you click a button in yoru enhancement tray.
  4. To be clear, I am not against the idea of reducing the cost of DOs and SOs costs. I'm against this idea that new players can't easily learn what they need to, to make enough inf to keep their slots up. All they need to do is ask in game. It is not at all difficult.
  5. I just tell the do tfs, sfs and convert the merits to Boosters and sell those. Easiest way to have enough inf to keep your IOs upgraded to 50. I mean at levels 1-5 you can do the exploration badges and openening arcs and have 8-12 merits. The boosters you get from those (there is a machine in city hall in atlas park) will sell for about 2- 4 mil to start.
  6. Well yes . . . that's the point the devs were making when they said they expect players to use the AH in some capcaity for their inf making needs. EDIT: And it's not like this knowledge is super sekrit. Ask in Help or General in game and the same advice that's been given here on the forums for years on how to make inf, will be told to new players.
  7. Eh my farmers convert all their inf to converters and give it to my main farming/crafting kin (who makes money by both farming and crafting), who then uses those to convert lvl 30ish enh into others that sell for more. That often quadruples the inf I got from the original farmer.
  8. Sure! Sounds like a good idea to address a complaint folks have had in the past!
  9. So make sure the drop you always get matches your Origin? Nice. I like it.
  10. As a TEAM LEADER when someone send you a tell that they can join, you need to ask what their AT is, if it's not what you are looking for. You sent the call out for a team, so it's your responsiblity as the TEAM LEADER to check that. Or get upset when folks don't bring a DPS AT. EDIT: Also you need to communicate with the team in chat to keep the team together. Being team leader is not just forming the team.
  11. Support toons have been doing this for years. Team leaders just have to realize what they do and invite them. When I run teams and I know we are going on the MJ arc for instance, I make sure to try to find debuffer/buffers/control folks. As opposed to yet another blaster / melee team member. EDIT: Also for the OP, when you form teams start at the base difficulty. If you find you put together a team that can handle tougher raise it up slightly the next mission. I always suggest to team leaders that it's actually counter productive to assume any team you form can handle the higher difficulties until they prove that. At base difficulties, the new COT and new Council can just be steam rolled like they always have been. This is fine.
  12. This a Helldivers 2 ad? Cause I approve whether it is or not. (The without pants part was key).
  13. You can trade IOs recipies and converters between accounts. Just have both do trade. Also can't you convert Reward Merits into Hero Merits of some sort. (Not sure if those are account bound though, as as soon as I get any merits they get converted into converters for 'buy cheap set ios on the AH then convert them into more expenisve ones' converter shenanigans).
  14. I would say playing TFs and SFs AND story arcs to get merits specifically. Just doing paper missions to level 50, won't make you much. Not if the OP is looking for the uber builds his intial post seems to indicate. EDIT: Also for the OP: You don't need 1 bil inf to make truly super characters/builds. The most expensive of my numerous IO'd out 50 is around 700-800 mil. With quite a few in the 500-600 mil range. The key is patience when BUYING: put your bid up at the start of a play session and by the next day it's filled at the REASONABLE price you put in.
  15. Yeah I never understood the complaint. And I've seen it more than once on the forums and online. You MUST put at least SOME effort in. Unless you use one of the methods to make money, then expect to stay on SOs. That's just been City of Heroes since IOs came into existence. And as you said you can make enough money doing simple things for just SOs for the entire trip from 1-50. EDIT: As multiple people have said in the market forums and even in THIS thread making just enough to get COMMON IOs that you don't have to upgrade is simple and easy.
  16. That's why I convert things into specific types IOs (Healing -- > Rare Heal Prods, LOTGs or other Defensive IOs, etc) that I know will make money. You do enough time you get to intrinscily know what will make money. I've never failed to be able to IO out a toon with purples, Attuned, etc after 7 days of using converters. And I'm on like my 35th fully IO'd out level 50 since joining HC.
  17. Just a note that you will have to run them on different characters. There is an 18 hour lockout on the same character once that character selects a Hami-O as a reward. If you use the same character within the lockout time window to defeat Hami a second or thrid time, that same character can select 4 Emp merits or Reward merits from the reward table, after they do damage to Hami, after Hami is defeated. EDIT: I try to catch the Hami raids on Everlasting and Excelsior a few times a week when I can on my main crafter. Though I usually choose the Reward Mertis option, convert those to Enhancement Converters, and the play converter roulette on cheap IOs or reciepes I get from the AH. Doing this for a week, usually nets me about 500-700 million inf after 5 days. On very good weeks I can make up to 1 bill within 7 days.
  18. Agreed. Not sure why that zone has night.
  19. I'd like this too, but realize with ONE animator any and all animation change requests are going to take time.
  20. Take it easy on yourself folks. City of Heros has been around in one form or another for literally YEARS at this point. And we old. Yes, including you who read that last line. We old. Our memories are not what they once were. Live with it. 😛
  21. No thanks. I like it faster. Now I don’t feel like as ass on the times it misses.
  22. Or simply nuke the power in the player’s tray, when in pvp mode. There are so many exploits with this that it simply should not even be activatable when you are in pvp mode.
  23. This would be problematic on a lot of levels. And would open the door to the devs having to potentially keep two code bases. Or more. For example, what if you have some folks that like how a power set was at shutdown, versus how it was in year one of HC being live, versus how it is in 2024? Do they then keep 3 versions? Or go back and have to build it how it was if they (more than likely) no longer have those past versions? Hard NO from me on this as it opens the door to a lot of nonsense that a volunteer dev team should not have to deal with.
  24. Except it's not an accurate example. Villan side was already a ghost town prior to allowing folks to side switch or play villan ATs on heroside.
  25. As a general suggeestion you can always request it. Whether they will do it for this page, since we are no on release candidate, very likely too late for now.
