  1. It's inevitably that they will make changes to the game, not just to farming. My point is folks should be used to that by now and should take steps to adapt. There have been builds that aren't fire farmers for years on the forums. HC is going to do what the feel like. And other than giving feedback or joining the beta testing channel to give feedback about it during testing phases, complaining on the forums after the fact isn't going to do much.
  2. I have zero opinion what they do about the ability to farm with fire based toons as I have many that aren't fire based. My point is if you have more than just those, just switch to those. I expect they will continue to make changes that will tangently or directly affect fire farming. So I never just stuck to fire farming. Or people can just keep doing the same thing expecting no changes to ever happen . . . YMMV.
  3. Surrrre. lol
  4. If you say so. lol EDIT: *Continues farming with alts that are not just fire resistant and aren't tanks or brutes.*
  5. Also I would say folks need to get away from just using Fire farmers. Doms can farm, Blasters can farm, Corrupters can farm, Tankers can farm. All with farming builds that have nothing to do with Fire Aura or Fire Melee. Folks need to learn to diversify.
  6. I'm okay with this. Especially now that folks who want to play hard have such content being built..
  7. I have no idea what you mean . . . * looks at character selection screen and notices 3 elec brutes*
  8. Same. I mentioned this in discord also lol. This is one of the greatest models in the game. I'd pay for this (And would have paid real money if the game were still live through the Paragon store lol) EDIT: And would be the ONLY thing I'd spend Aether Particles on. Nothing else interests me lol.
  9. But doesn't change the point that outside of farming, Fire Aura . . . is just not that great.
  10. They need a hard mode setting for it.
  11. Seriously. His buddies sound like nice people but I would not touch Diablo Immortal with a ten foot pole. I say this as someone who tried it for a week. Let's not even get into the silly monetization aspects. Just no.
  12. I've gotten that at least 5 times in the past year. I just log off and go play something else usually. It's either that or get angry and throw my laptop. lol
  13. And so very much this. If the respec interface did not suck donkey balls life would be a lot better.
  14. The game is not a live service game. It pretty much is a sandbox now since there are multiple versions (shards/servers) and it’s flavors of COH. I read on the forums that someone is trying to do the hard work of creating a version of this game minus numerous issues worth of updates. Think I heard they are trying to go all the way back to issue 16 or whatever the one was prior to the major pvp overhaul. Also early on HC made it pretty clear that they are looking to make QOL life changes to make the game less of a slog. They are not trying to preserve a museum of what the game was like when it shut down. I’m fine with the game getting easier and balance not being a major issue cause we are not paying and keeping players playing for long periods of time is no longer a concern. That and the fact that they are creating optional Hard Mode content for those that want it, makes me feel the over emphasis on balance has just been that: overemphasized. I am glad HM content exists but personally I’ve stopped playing it except in speed runs. I have a child, work and life now. Anything that makes COH more pick and play, I’m all for including streamlining powers progression. I’m fine with HC giving options for all sorts of players we have.
  15. I will say this: if it weren't for the Godsend that is Mids I probably would have stopped playing this game a long time ago. I DISLIKE the interface for respecing that much. You miss a power or slot and you basically have to start all over again. It is one of the most UNFUN aspects of this game when you're forced to rebuild because of a powers change, even if you don't mind the actual change. Mids has been a lifesaver.
  16. I second that. STRONGLY. VERY VERY STRONGLY.
  17. Respecs are assuredly NOT easy. The interface is one of the most ridiculous I've seen and it shows it's age. I know this because I've played more modern games in the last 15 years that handle the process much better. I would not mind respecs if the interface and way it's done itself were simpler. So no, if a change requires a respec I simply avoid it. As in I roll a new character.
  18. On a more serious note, not every page is going to be a hit. Paragon learned that over the years. Sometimes there will be more hated or more liked things in a page/issue. That is fine.
  19. So about Hugh Jackman in the next deadpool. Is he going to waring the traditional wolverine costumer? Yay or Nay? 🙂
  20. With that said our time to test things is also volunteer time. If folks don't feel (and I have various disagreement on this idea) their feedback is worth it, then they won't test, as some have said. Also I've always taken issue with calling something a Feedback thread. They are more "test this and let us know if it's broken" threads. Which is fine. Also let's keep in mind not all feedback (even for those who heavily test things and leave pages of testing data) will lead to a change. Which is also fine. I think if folks really want to have a say then they join the options laid about by Flea above BEFORE things hit test. As he explained folks have the option to join at a time when ideas are still in alpha. Maybe that's a better place to try to affect change for those who feel the "Feedback" threads, well aren't.
  21. Except if the main threat is kryptonite or magic . . . then yeah the rest of the league is VERY MUCH often needed. I would keep comic books out of balance discussions, as the way writers write weakness or situations doesn't really always have a clear analogue to games like this.
  22. I don't agree with the idea that the 20s and 30s should be a slog. With the increase in power leveling on HC, I'd argue many others don't either. Anything that can be done to make those level areas more fun is fine to me. Other than creating more content in those ranges faster so that we are not doing the same old missions for the 1000th time (which isn't happening since this isn't a paid dev team and they have lives outside of this) I think smoothing out how and when you get powers is a good thing. Other's mileage will vary. EDIT: Also after the instant pvp lvl 50s release, suggestions were made for instant 50s in PVE again. It got many arguing against it. I wish the OP luck on that, and flame retardant pants. He will need both.
  23. Qt'd and bolded for the truth.
  24. Then the devs should look into the timer. Based on the patch notes they should de-spawn based on that. If that's not happening then it's bug.
