  1. So in conclusion: Yes to Gap closers. No to changing existing powers. Sounds good.
  2. I thought Tip Missions where part of the Alignment system, and came at the same time no?
  3. Play the ASF at it's highest difficulty then come back and discuss after.
  4. As someone currently obsessed with MTG, this made me laugh waaaay out loud. Thank goodness I was working from home today. LOL 😄
  5. Yeah some of the tech in FFXIV is bonkers, in terms of modern gaming/mmo tech.
  6. There are plenty of other games with new content other than Elden Ring that recently released. People will play other games as that's newer content, including mmos that just released recent content.
  7. Oh yeah? Say hi to Lar$z0ry and C%ur0l!y for me. 😉
  8. I think word of mouth should be enough to recruit new players . . . when they are not busy with new games. Unlike when this game came out there have been and are (almost weekly now) new games that draw folks attention. Hell Elden Ring is still one of the most streamed games and it's been out for over a month. There are just too many games out now to expect any large influx of new players. This game (although loved by all of us here) is OLD. And the dev team is a small volunteer team making updates as they can. Multiple updates per year isn't' happening. I'm just happy the game is back across different flavors.
  9. Completely 100% vehemently disagree. It was one of the best thing the devs ever did, especially with Villainside Market being as anemic as it was back then. The AH and IO experience was TERRIBAD on live, and it was even worse than that on rediside, because redside did not have an established economy.
  10. Actually with what we've seen in Wandavision, Loki, No Way Home and I suspect in the upcoming Dr. Strange 2, it wouldn't be a stretch. The multiverse starting to have issues and folks showing up all over the place could be an indication of large issues that need to be fixed with the multiverse. And if what happened in What If is cannon, this might just be the "motive" or "pretense" the current upcoming big bad needs to want to "fix the multiverse" (Though I think with what happened in Loki explained where he is coming from; all the multiverse shenanigans caused by Dr. Strange and others would be another "I need to fix the F^%$ing mess you so called heroes created for the multiverse." option for motive/pretense.)
  11. Yep, Marvel, Luscasltd, Disney, Starwars Megaconglomerate will be fine. They have the room to just throw stuff out and see what's good.
  12. Also every so often when I multibox I get a purple or two on both accounts. The first time this happened this past year I was shocked. LOL
  13. Honestly, thinking on it more I don't think much help is needed at 50 from AT Inherents, with the current insane meta of IOs, Incarnate abilities, Proc Monster builds. I think that would just be icing on the cake at this point.
  14. Honestly I don't mind mez in this game, but a lot of players pretty much hate being mezzed . . . at all., even for one second. I agree, I just tell folks to bring break frees . . .or better yet just build so that you don't get hit. I think of all the i13 pvp changes, for instance, the changes to mez, will probably be the ones that most don't want reversed. (For example of folks in this game hatting mez).
  15. I'll let the actual pvpers answer, but I think this right here is the wrong question to ask right out the gate. I don't think you can decrease that gap much as both just have different inherent makeup in how the powersets with those ATs (not to mention the ATs themselves) function. Plus there are inherent things to being "melee" and being "ranged" in this game that can't be overly overlooked. Holds or stuns for instance could help Melee close the gap, but since holds don't actually hold in pvp as of i13, there you go. Also Melee has armor, Ranged doesn't usually, or at least not as much as Melee, unless they build for it. (Though with defense not actually being defense in pvp . . .) Plus anything you do might not be looked upon favorable by either side of that divide. Also the devs did try to make things easier and more simplified based on how they felt they could "get more folks to pvp". And we know how that turned out. There are so many variations in this game of what it means to be a "melee" and "ranged" that I'd be wary of any suggestion that starts with trying to answer "how do you close the gap between melee and ranged DPS", but willing to hear any wild ideas.
