  1. I think the AE should be left as is. That ship sailed long ago, and I don't think there should be ANY of our volunteer dev time spent on it ever again. They have better things to do.
  2. If the devs had been able to create content on a regular basis then I could see the argument that IOs and Incarnates weren't needed. They were not able to, hence the needs for something to keep the masses busy while they did. (Their attempt of adding pvp to the game was a failure to the large extent that to this day most just ignore it or outright hate it.) I think the game would have died MUCH faster without those additions. Agree to Disagree as you said. EDIT: Also Controllers and Defenders have the ability to still be force multipliers. I know I'm glad they are around when I play Incarnate Content or go after AVs. I don't find them useless at all. Clearly you and I are playing a different game. I also find your comments somewhat humorous based on the OP that started this discussion.
  3. I think IOS and Incarnates were some of the best things ever done to the game. Before that the game had gotten pretty stale. Especially since they could never keep up in creating content faster than the playerbase could consume.
  4. I see no issue with anyone charging inf if there are people willing to pay. Has zero effect on me. I offer free farms when I can though.
  5. Or simply log in with your own farmer and offer free farms to everyone at the same time. 😝
  6. Having seen the game about 60 times on live, I would prefer to start characters at a level where I think the game is fun. YMMV.

  9. I'd prefer if more zones were made co-op. The game has too many unused zones already.

  11. I would rather the devs focused on something that has a guarantee of being fruitful (improving things on this server) than going after something that is pie in the sky. Going after the original data to me would be a waste of time for the various reasons folks have already posted.

  13. I'm fine with that for now. They should get the changes out as soon as possible and if further tweaks are needed then they can go ahead and adjust after the fact with further patches.

  15. True, but I was more concerned about now having three Phantom Beings who can’t be killed stacking mez on top of what you’re stacking, on a character that has Perma Domination, Aka the City of Statutes concern the devs of old use to mention. Edit: But maybe I worry too much. LOL
  16. See to me this might be more of issue than the current Phantom damage they do that heals back overtime. And you’re right to mention it should be low magnitude. I can easily see something like this being more overpowered in the hands of a dominator than the way the Phantom Army currently functions. But hey, that’s what test server is for, and if they went with this way with Dominator Phantom Army, I wouldn’t say no. 😁
  17. Great point. It probably won’t go live as is if it’s found to be overpowered. And you’re right. With some of the other sets that have been ported over the years, I suspect it won’t be as bad as folks say.
  18. I’d be fine, as long as it’s marked CLEARLY in some way THAT those particular missions don’t give xp.
  19. It might make more sense to add these new difficulty options behind a new difficulty setting, so that it’s the user who is knowingly making the choice to see these new mire difficult mechanics.

  21. As already stated there are ways to get Phantom Army to be ported to Dominators. Those suggestions are viable and in this thread. Others agree. Not going to rehash it again. Reread the thread. Most are not arguing that it doesn’t need to change, as has been stated by multiple people more than once. The argument is against it being left completely out of the set when Illusions is ported. Again for the people in the back, Most are not arguing to keep it as is. The argument is about it being taken out completely when ported to Dominators. Clear now? Good. There are set defining powers in a power set all across this game. Illusions is called that because . . . It throws out Illusions as it’s main schtick. Take out the Main set of illusions then why on earth would you called it that when ported to Doms? Call it something else cause at that point it isn’t Illusions.
  22. Welcome to the City of Heroes forums. Also not only my opinion based on what I've read in this thread from others. The other options to keep PA I would be fine with as I've already said in the thread.
  23. Then you might as well not port it. It's a set defining power. Just create another set, but don't call it Illusions, cause it wouldn't be.
