  1. I hope this went well, it was lots of fun lats time!
  2. Give it some ears, probably the rounded rounded cubby-lookign ears, make the face black not glowing
  3. I've been saying this for a long time now* and kept getting angry pushback. 😃 *ETA: In fact, see my sig
  4. Yeah, but that guy was a weenie nihilist loser. 😃
  5. OMG, I didn't know you were putting up the numbers on the podiums as people bid like that, that's awesome. I'm not spending much time on the forums anymore but feel it's worth coming out of lurk-mode to say this was the most fun couple of hours I've had in CoH for some time, thanks for the fun 😃
  6. Welcome! There's some guides for new players in the "Guides" section of this forum, so you could start there. It helps to read the forums in general, you'll pick up on a lot of good trivia and not-so-trivial info here too; for instance, you might spend some time the dedicated page for the character archetype you're playing. Earning in-game monies is really easy, don't sweat it. Don't be afraid to make mistakes, and ignore the blow-hards who'll denigrate you for them (blocking people is a real gift). Lastly, see my sig. =)
  7. All good but I especially liked these two.
  8. I know you can give them a power to rezz themselves, my arc The Catacombs of Mars has a foe (just one!) that can rezz after being defeated. But I can't recall which set it came from.
  9. This is across from the abandoned lab on Port Oakes. I dunno what their schedule is, but they're not always out there.
  10. One Beast MM was called Capt Sam's Space Zoo (yes it just fit) and I named all the pets after planets, stuff like Mars wolf, Jupiterian Lion etc. Another Merc MM is King Pumpkin Spice and his henchmen are all named after the spices that you blend oy make pumpkin spice, Ginger, Nutmeg, etc. These pet names to me are part of the character concept, so I sweat the details with them too, yes!
  11. I've seen one guy five-boxing (I think) during the last ToT at the Murder Hotel: one MM down in the center of the parking lot, pets set on Aggressive, the MM itself spamming a heal to "look active" to the server; four other toons doing nothing but standing just inside the door up in the AE hologram room (the AE building is right next door to the hotel, see), doing jack-all. Devs frown on that, but at the same time best I can tell they also won't ban for it. They did unlog the guy (for server speeds) a few times but as it was put to me "he just keeps coming back."
  12. These were all solid, but this one's next level.
  13. I had no idea such things existed
  14. Throw @cranebump into the pile of people, they've done a lot for the AE community, which most of you monsters completely ignore! Wait, that probably isn't the proper tone to take here ha ha...
  15. The Devs are more than happy to give out three more when you've filled up the previous ones. I've done this twice now! And speaking of, here's my low level Villain arc I mentioned above: To check it, I replayed it with a scrapper who was low level (I think about 12th level, with obviously few IOs) and things went just fine.
  16. I believe I just re-posted an old redside story I wrote on Live (and still had) for just-starting-out villains and posted it, but I'm not 100% on that. I'll check soonish (life's a bit much right now) and come back if it is up.
  17. Corollary: if you find yourself on a Cim team with that person, take the time to go usher then to a tunnel and then the Night Ward house to get the badge. Because if you give someones Romans to fight, they fight for a day. Show them how to find the Romans, and they fight then for the rest of their life, I guess.
  18. They don't provide that much, just skip em, I bet you'll never miss em. I know I don't.
  19. Doesn't Jack have one out in the woods in Croatoa?
  20. Really anything you like, play what you enjoy playing and can all agree on, no need to overthink this.
  21. Many players* now feel that hunting out short cuts to fast and easy rewards is the best and only reasonable way to play, that's why we get threads here like "what's the fastest way to get merits?" I figure AE farming really set up that sugar rush mentality for them. But yeah, better mission design all round helps. My fave example is Summer Block Buster: you're capped to (what is it, 35?), no hiding behind your purples and Incarnates, no speed running around half the arena battles or anything. You have to know how to play, not snooze your way through. *who weirdly taking insult when I ever say these things, but I'm used to it by now ha ha.
  22. I'll still call them wrong for cheating at the game*, mainly because they're missing the fun of it all and will get bored awfully fast. 😃 But I know that's just me. Agreed on the bit about "mofo" though. *I mean, the devs didn't design it to be played that way, and speedruns are intended to get the same rewards faster and with less effort, so the term feels applicable.
  23. Water Blast set with a wild array of colors + the fish head. Maybe Open Labcoat to simulate an artist's smock.
