  1. Maybe like a book club, anyone can participate, "over the next two weeks, we're playing another dreary and confusing arc from Clave Dark 5 called, simply, Ugh. You have two weeks to go play and then we'll vote on including it or not." Hm... That voting of course unfortunately leaves room from developing bad blood, so you'd have to vote in private or something, "the board has decided to recommend SuperSteve's This Rocks Rock for [award]," without going into any posting that negative judgement of "we played Clave's and hated it.' So maybe that's a bad idea - book clubs don't hand out awards, just talk about what they did or didn't like about the book. And as a group they generally decide on what book to look at anyways.
  2. I've filed tickets, and left one-star players notes on them, repeatedly. Last year as well. Still seeing them around, yep. Anecdotally, one team that formed yesterday morning remarked on how nice it was to have been lucky enough to fill the server before the MMs showed up, ha ha
  3. Somewhere in the past, maybe near the beginning of the year? Late last? Further back? I ended up being able to directly address a dev her eon the forums to highlight to still-ongoing problem with how everyone on a map speaks their "unaware" line when you zone in; they said they'd look into it... That's about all I have to offer right now. I do certainly hope for more...
  4. This base just gets better and better every time I visit it, thanks for sharing it with us!
  5. I've come to the conclusion that they don't really care. I mean, they just spent who knows how many rare volunteers' hours to create and refine the Fog farming level, I think it's pretty clear where their interests lie.
  6. Farming is boring. See my sig quote and suggestions for how to have more fun in this game than mere farming.
  7. Were the Hallowee GMs also upgraded to match Jack and Eochai in Croatoa? I haven't seen a Pumpkin Patch! notification yet. The GMs now also spawn some themed soldiers (Streng et al for Eocahi, Hooligans for Jack), so do those too need to be cleared to let them respawn, like with the Unseelies? Follow up to that last one, Jack spawns a really large number of Hooligans, is that WAI? Just kind of weird is all. Oh, and bonus question: will the Halloween window decorations be back this year?
  8. I'm not willing to let that slide without corroborating evidence...
  9. I didn't see it that way, perhaps because I didn't see it coming. I thought it was kind of interesting, Anyway, well crafted mission well-presented, no swarms of typos or anything. Also blessedly free of Clues (this is a personal thing, and while I know how important they can be for getting across some parts of stories, I feel they really do just make everything grind to a halt when you have to stop and click to read them).
  10. I left myself one star notes on them last year, and I'm seeing them come out of the woodwork this year. So: yes.
  11. I've had it spoil many AoE attacks that my melee or even squishie toons were trying. No warning, no "hey yall, here comes FS" or "I'm going to be using FS ok?" or anything. It's a great power for making farming or soloing easier no doubt. I don't complain on those teams, I just quit them.
  12. I've leveled two semi-petless MMs and never had anyone say one damned thing about... except one jerk the forums.
  13. No! I am clearly only here for my own gratification, I don't even know why I team! This is not any ammner of a collaborative or social game, who gave you that wachadoodle idea?! Put them on ignore, right now! Yes I do pay attention to the team I'm on. I currently have an Emp I'm leveling and why would you run one of those and not pay attention ha ha I also generally run squishies and find min/maxing the hell out them (and playing such impenetrable cheats) flat-out boring, so I do have to pay attention in case others around me start falling, or even gasp need some help; even a blaster can help a failing player by trying to clear the heat off them. I've also taken to buying those ten-shot rezz powers from the P2W because I always seem to end up using them. I do understand this isn't a common playstyle anymore.
  14. Kin Unicorn here, didn't get to stick around for everything, and didn't win a thing this time, but fun was still so thick on the floors of the soundstage that my boots were making "sluutch-sluutch" sounds with every step. Thanks for hosting, as always! If you didn't go, you missed out!
  15. I haven't been playing much lately, but I think I've only seen people advertising for a group (league? no idea how this works) more than three times, and that was when it was new. I also play at odd hours, mostly, so that's probably just me. Meanwhile, "Yins and Tins" aplenty!
  16. This is how it works for everything in AE, 1% inspiration, 99% experimentation
  17. Damn, and here I am sweating away on like my... seventh?
  18. Weird. And didn't seem to make any difference. 😄 Oh well, in this one time, it's not too big a deal at least.
  19. So I have this story arc that I'm working on, and the list of foes in one mission is a mix of repurposed and recolored pre-existing bad guys, and there's one Custom Boss (set to Do Not Auto Spawn) and one Custom Lt. So when I try and set up a "Fight a Boss" the only options that come up on the list for this grouping of foes are the two customs (one of which isn't even boss level). I have plenty of spawn points for the boss ight, currently populated with the Lt. Also was a bit odd I notice in that whichever pre-made boss I have in that group rarely ever seem to spawn naturally, like in a large group (yes, tried altering my difficulty settings, even tried a different toon). But I would like to set one of those pre-made bosses for the Defeat a Boss. Is this some sort of farming prevention "rule" that I don't understand?
  20. Wish I could have been there but I'm still in bed at that hour.
  21. I didn't even mind the defeat-all, it didn't feel like a chore or anything.
  22. There's a whole thread over on the forums there. My rough suggestions would be something to help drive engagement, many possible suggestions have been posted over the years on how to do so, here's one I found within seconds, I bet you can find more. The Dev's Choice engagement with the MA and the community alone was helpful, but again, not flashy, such as, say introducing Temporal Warriors was.
  23. To see something new done with/for the Architect system? Y'all got miles of content in there, non-farm too! (I know we love our farming though, which is what the new fog thing strikes me as) But doing something more to play that angle up isn't exactly flashy, I know. But it's like deader'n PVP in there unless it's just farming.
  24. Anyone who has AoE or cone attacks will probably hate you for popping it unannounced (I generally don't, but have found myself recently "chagrined" to find myself playing with such a person). It's just about as bad as Fold Space, which also confounds AoE players and tends to make each crowd you attack all about you. Best advice is clear it with the team before the first fight, play solo, or find a group of friends to play with who won't get mad.
  25. Done all that but this still isn't working great for me. It seems to work right up until I get near the Ally Boss who then completes, and he very much does so if he somehow ends up in any kind of combat with any of the foes around, who may have naturally spawned close or who I may accidentally drag up to him. It's like it nearly gets set up correctly unless say someone misses something or the boss spawns to "early" on the map or any couple of other possibilities. Maybe I'll just remake all the decorations to be set destructable and not-needed-to-complete the last real goal is completed, like "stay and destroy all the equipment if you want" or something. I dunno, still fiddling with it all for now.
