I'm pretty sure that's the exact plan there. Much like Freakshow who rez and then have to be fought again, it just slows down the steamroller a bit, mostly. Like with the Freakshow rezzing-buff, this is all pretty much OK by me.

Sometimes things just go south. A team led by that 50 may have only sub-15th levels with him and the difficulty is set too high for them, or maybe it turns out that the foes you face have that one attack that finds the hole in your armor. Or just the various idiocies listed above too - mix and match for extra fun!

When you have to put together a whole boat-laod of missions, you do tend to write some unimaginative stuff sometimes. Same thing with just about any TV show: good or not, you need another script for next week's episode.

Just put it all under a new tab on our Options menu. I mean, yeah, why not make it as easy peasy?

This is what I was getting at with mentioning "deleting" - seriously, how long would we have to hold on to locked threads? I think you have to address that if you starting locking threads after whatever deadline you set. How long before the subforums are more locked threads than not, and why would you want to hold on to every locked thread in perpetuity? ETA: you can downvote sure, but I would like to hear actual answers or discussion of the points I raised. Please! I'm interested t hear them.

Dang, I think you've started like 3 new characters in the time I've been playing my now-leveled latest Dom, and here I am feeling listless about playing at all any more to boot. Maybe I should just do another MA arc and wait for the alt-urge to strike anew...

Then again, if we lock a thread and the conversation can't be dynamic anymore, why bother to keep it up at all? But some good info could be lost if we lock and delete.

I signed up for it because it appeared to be the thing for getting into HC? But I never use it either. I can't be arsed to dig out some mic/headset thingy I can use for the chat, and as far as simple forums go, it's confusing enough that I found it too offputting to bother with; I'm sure I could figure things out, but why bother spending the time? I don't need it.

...Or you can always go read their wiki page and spoil it all for yourself. 😉

Patience. Seriously, it will roll in once you play a 50. Farming is dull. Farming is like looking at the entire electromagnetic spectrum from radio waves to gamma waves and deciding that "red that people can see" is the most important part of the game. You can play a gimpy, unslotted toon on a team and do just fine

Good! I think the changes were meant to remove easy farming/sleeping your way to 50. ETA -- Look how mad some people get when I point that out, and down-vote me every time I say it. XD

Best advice I can think of (on top of everyone above me there): team, PUG, TFs, whatever. Drag this weak and terrible toon to 50, even with egregious holes in your slotting. Be lazy on the teams, hang out in back where it's safe, whatever. No one will call you out for this, and if you say you're new, they may even give you gifts. If they do call you out, block them and keep playing. Make it to 50, keep playing. Keep teaming. Inf with drops etc. will start to roll in in large chunks. Keep being lazy if you need to, whatever. 😃 Once that toon is slotted and established, you won't have to hide in back AND the money will start to pile up, by simply playing (not farming, speed-running etc.) Just playing, easy peasy. Enjoy playing a superhero. 😃

My understanding on how The Things Work is that it's a matter of attachment points, not just setting a flag. I'd guess the shouldery-cape thingies take up that back attachment point, so nothing else can be fit on there.

I see Excel speedruns on lots of things, any and all TFs, and when I find myself on one and say something, I'm generally the only one doing so (I really should just drop when that happens). That's one thing I like about SBB: level-capped so no hiding behind your wall of purples, Winter Expense and fully IOed builds, and you have to take it at the pace it goes at, no cheating your way through. The "meta" is indeed to grab everything like merits and Inf are going to be nerfed (just look at Scrapyard). I'd be happy to join this, except I game during odd hours and even after the big influx Indom is dead during the night (and Excel pretty much reverts back to what it was pre-influx: four people spamming to door-sit a farm, a Yin speed-run, and a Tin/Px, which may also be a speedrun). But all power to y'all! Maybe I'll check in sometimes, just to see if maybe there is something to get in on.
