Corollary: if you find yourself on a Cim team with that person, take the time to go usher then to a tunnel and then the Night Ward house to get the badge. Because if you give someones Romans to fight, they fight for a day. Show them how to find the Romans, and they fight then for the rest of their life, I guess.

Doesn't Jack have one out in the woods in Croatoa?

Best similar builds for trio play

Really anything you like, play what you enjoy playing and can all agree on, no need to overthink this. -
anti-speed task force mode: required ambushes
Clave Dark 5 replied to kelika2's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Many players* now feel that hunting out short cuts to fast and easy rewards is the best and only reasonable way to play, that's why we get threads here like "what's the fastest way to get merits?" I figure AE farming really set up that sugar rush mentality for them. But yeah, better mission design all round helps. My fave example is Summer Block Buster: you're capped to (what is it, 35?), no hiding behind your purples and Incarnates, no speed running around half the arena battles or anything. You have to know how to play, not snooze your way through. *who weirdly taking insult when I ever say these things, but I'm used to it by now ha ha. -
anti-speed task force mode: required ambushes
Clave Dark 5 replied to kelika2's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I'll still call them wrong for cheating at the game*, mainly because they're missing the fun of it all and will get bored awfully fast. 😃 But I know that's just me. Agreed on the bit about "mofo" though. *I mean, the devs didn't design it to be played that way, and speedruns are intended to get the same rewards faster and with less effort, so the term feels applicable. -
Water Blast set with a wild array of colors + the fish head. Maybe Open Labcoat to simulate an artist's smock.

OK, "it would seem that the means to accomplish this dissuades Devs from making this a priority, because players have asked for this since before Live shut down." There's levels of difficuly to be considered. I probably could fly using tarps and sticks, or at least glide, but the difficulty of achieving it means it's probably not worth it. Or to put it country simple, "a dog can kill a skunk, but it aint worth it." I seriously doubt the devs sat around "ya wanna fix the name thing with that server suffix idea? Nah, let's make some Council guys rez." Not at all in the same ballpark, unless I guess you want to hold some seething distrust for the Devs.

Indeed, this idea is very old at this point, I'd think we would have had it by now if we could.

Comic books alone published hundreds and hundreds if not thousands of heroic stories up until what the 1980s? Superman alone wasn't focuses on the times he got lazy or deteriorating. There were movie series, westerns, pulps, and you can even go back further to Homer Beowulf... heroes aren't dull. Only writers are. That's a failure of current imagination.

"This doesn't make sense" ha ha! Anyways, cheap shots aside, yeah, tired of "the Jedi were all failures or corrupt or worse," plus the go-to for current pop culture "ooohh, these bad guys are really bad-ass, doesn't that make them interesting?" No, that makes them bad, not bad-ass. Heroes are passe these days, which is exactly why we need more of them, not failures and corrupted people. That aside, the samurai-leaning takes in The Mandalorean were it's best aspects, so that leaning here might work out. Just please no more CGI rock-fights like Obi-Wan degenerated into.

@Nostromo21 Even if you make some "mistakes" and you can't hit perma-Dom, the character will very most likely still be quite playable. Maybe you can't make insane-o runs thru solo TFs at 4/8, but still playable! My most recent Dom is at Vet Level 30 or so, and she never reached perma, and is still a beast. I usually PUG, but Doms are about the safest soloists (apply hold, then move in to attack the helpless), apart from Stalkers, but both may be a tad slow for today's cracked-out style of play. Most of the sets listed above aren't all that pricey TBH either; heck, shoot me a forums-note with your global and I'll send you some Inf. Early Doms can be rough, but when they start to bloom later, woo boy, the wait is worth it!

Don't we already have enough ways to be given stuff? This is essentially a form of power creep, "reward creep" i suppose. An aside: why did they stop giving Dev Choices, HoFs etc.? I got lucky and got one during that last round for Christmas stories but yeah, that like 2022. And let me tell you, those gold stars lead a lot of people to play them; I think my current only gold-starred arc broke 200 plays recently, while my other arcs haven't cracked double digits yet (iirc).

Hostages have a sound effect like glowies do?
Clave Dark 5 replied to Zephyr Star's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I was just thinking they'd scream a lot, like defeated Carnies... -
Yeah, I've often tried to have a good reason for them to have a big aura or maybe one of the Held positions where they float off the ground in a big green haze, to make them easier to spot from a distance. Or the foes surrounding them.

You know what the best area in the game is?
Clave Dark 5 replied to temnix's topic in General Discussion
It's the Baby New Year map, because winter time is awesome. -
No one plays hardmodes because they suck
Clave Dark 5 replied to TheSpiritFox's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Then skip them. I do, all the time. -
Yeah, instanced. I've done any number of MSRs and, unfortunately, missed any number as well due to my play time schedule. I know we still run them.
-
I'd be happy to steal the idea, but I just can't with Water, I've tried twice and maybe it was just bad luck or something (sometimes toons just don't "click"), but the look of the set just doesn't work for me.
-
I'm... not sure what you're saying here exactly, does that make me elitist? But this does raise a question I've been wondering: I don't think I've seen or been on an instanced MSR since I left Indom, and there weren't many there either back like 2 years ago. Seriously, none, not on Excel when I play anyway. How many people actually do them (OP aside, obvs. =)?

Gah! They're as big as her head! They're as wide as her waist! She's got something in "huge" alright!

Have Orange insps resist other things as well
Clave Dark 5 replied to kelika2's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
This just sounds like more power creep to me, I don't think it's needed. If we were free of those effects, we might as well be fighting marshmallows.
