  1. Guilty. Definitely guilty of that here, too.
  2. *laughing* And what about those of us who DON'T carry one? We are mysterious. XD
  3. Somehow I image the usual Paragon purse-contents to include an unusual concentration of switchblades, brass knuckles, pepper sprays, cans of mace, Snake-b-Gone, pocket packs of Round Up weed killer (for DE plant monsters) and that kind of thing. No one carries cash or anything else valuable in a purse. Ever.
  4. Beat me to it... I was going to say "This sounds like a Street Shaman working with the Spirits of Man". XD Once upon a time I had a character named Metropolitan. She was a city spirit... IIRC I went Electric tanker with her.
  5. *snickers* Pretty sure... I mean, Artemian KNOWS a Mastermind or two, but he's never tried to be one. He's just a goofy mage in a bow tie. XD
  6. Getting Kaikara's "Knows No Fear" badge... She soloed all of the DA arcs on +4/x8 just because I wanted to see if she could (Kai is my KinMelee/Bio Stalker main-), but facing and kicking the collective butts of that entire army on her own? THAT made me grin, as both an in-character thing for her and as a player accomplishment for me. It was excellent, smashy fun and not easy.
  7. Might also have been a GM transformation... They have the ability to switch players' character models. (Back in the Live days, Beastyle turned my stalker Grey Kestrel into a police car one afternoon. It was really silly but only lasted until she zoned. XD) The P2W travel powers are a black panther and a little brown coyote. If you saw someone as a MM-style grey wolf, that would have to be something different.
  8. The last "nudger" I ran into couldn't fly... He gave up trying to jump-bump me after a minute or two of fruitless hopping around. XD
  9. Archetype… your character class, more or less. Single Target... doing damage to one goon at a time Archvillain... very tough goons Taskforce... a set of missions typically run with a team Peacebringer… one of the two hero Epic archetypes Villain Epic Archetype... There are several variations I'll let some of the numbers people explain soft-capping to you. It involves picking particular powers and enhancement sets to make a character harder to hit, or harder to damage. And Sentinels are very forgiving as far as ranged characters go. They don't do as much damage as blasters, but are less fragile.
  10. She walks that route to work every day... and every day she sees half a dozen similarly mangled, or fried, or stabbed, or electrocuted, or gnawed-on-by-demons gang members who've tried to snatch a purse and run afoul of some hero. It's an ordinary thing in Paragon City. After awhile, you just get used to it.
  11. It varies a lot by level and which AT/power-sets I'm playing, honestly... But Arachnoids will always creep me out, I tend to tread carefully with large groups of Rularuu, and high-level Talons are a royal pain in the rump.
  12. For what it's worth, I managed to beat the snot out of Trappy with Khalil, my WP/StJ Tank, a couple of weeks ago. It wasn't a fast fight by any means, and I did have to clobber his clones as they spawned, but it's definitely do-able. Annoying... But not impossible.
  13. I'll have to tinker around a bit with my stalkers to see if I can replicate that... If I can? That might ALSO explain another weird bug I've seen occasionally... . One-shot defeated assassination targets still somehow managing to "avenge their own deaths" by hitting me with an attack (that does do damage-) after they're already toast. <_<
  14. Roleplayers didn't get an entry of their own either... I suspect our OP either didn't remember they exit or assumed they would all be in Box #2 by default.
  15. I think it's a fool's errand to try to put any of us in neat little boxes. Gamers are human and humans are difficult to classify that way in almost anything we do... The City's no exception. I'm a mostly-solo. Who also roleplays. And loves running her well-kitted, level 50+ support characters with mid-level teams. And on ship raids. And who also enjoys tearing apart farm maps with a tricked-out, you-don't-even-WANT-to-know-how-expensive, proc-monster bad-ass of a Brute. Sometimes I run with friends who are uberbuilder maniacs. Sometimes I run with friends who barely know what set bonuses are, and wouldn't have a proc to their name if I hadn't gifted them a Perf Shifter or a Panacea or a Kismet somewhere along the way. It's all fun. So, how about instead of trying to make silly distinctions and divide us all up into tidy little classification schemes we just step back and consider that what we actually have are just differences in opinion, born of different experiences and expectations that are the result of playing one hell of an adaptable, flexible game. It may not be "perfect" for everyone, but the fact that such a huge range of players STILL have enough interest to argue about it? That's an accomplishment in and of itself.
  16. Traditionally, the characters that I've called my Mains (Grey Kestrel, Palrah and Nemissary back-in-the-day. Kaikara here on Homecoming-) are the ones that are flat-out my favorites. The ones I have the most fun playing. The ones I'll tend to pick when I just want to play around instead of working on whichever member of the crew is 'in progress'.
  17. 'Pretty sure it *will* stack with the Fury proc, yeah. I haven't tried it with the Annhi on anyone yet. It just won't stack with itself. (The Annhiliation proc won't stack with itself either, as far as I know. I've just tinkered around with that one in multiples less often than the Achilles version.)
  18. I'll say again... Rularuu. Go out to the Shard and run Hammond's missions solo at +4/x8. The missions themselves are nothing special, but in large numbers those Rularuu spawns will absolutely eat your lunch if you're not careful, even with a high-end build. That's especially true if you end up with more than one spawn at a time. (Which is likely given the ludicrous perception on the eyeballs and how close groups will be to each other on those cave maps-) High DEF? The Overseers just don't care. They're jerks that way. XD
  19. Achilles is the one I know best, and it doesn't stack with itself... But having that proc in more than one attack power *does* mean that you have more chances to smack the goons with it, just by virtue of having more opportunities for one of them to fire as you're attacking.
  20. I really, really wanted the boss pet to be a bear... A gorilla would also have been acceptable, and could have been rigged on the second tier demon skeleton, I suspect... But no. We got a weird, scaly wolf. <_< I also don't like the way they play, but that's just a pure opinion thing.
  21. It happens with some of the Night Ward Drudge's pets, too... 'Annoying as hell, though. If player character's pets go poof when we check the carpet, so should the goons'.
  22. Worst possible case? She ends up with two Destiny powers and switches depending on the situation. XD
  23. Nice! My Dorian is pretty much stalled at 41 (He's one-third of a static trio, and the other players haven't been interested in playing their two in months. <_< *grumps*), so I haven't gotten a chance yet to see how the Psi/WP combo handles at 50 with a "real build". I had intended to go Barrier with him, but more for one of his squishier teammate's sake than his own. If he were more of a solo? 'Tough call... I might still go with Barrier, honestly, just to be a little overkill if I needed it, since I don't have soft-cap-chasing plans for him either.
  24. Having played with Bonfire both ways... I'd say get the KB-to-KD. It just makes the power useful in so many more situations.
