Too bad we don’t have access to regular Pick Ups to observe the practical application of this on test. I would ld say that an 8-player group of more casual players would be more useful for this testing now than we are at this point.
In full teams (provided the Tanker is lead Tanking) the Brute (or another Tanker) takes overflow aggro. This has happened time and time again on the Pick Up Groups that I have been in for the past couple of weeks while leveling my new Tanker on live (something I NEVER would have done again until these proposed changes came into being).
Maintaining Fury isn’t complicated, people just have to learn the nuances of the AT.
For anyone that believes that Fury generation is going to be a problem, then learn what Duo-Tanking is. Brutes can earn all of the Fury they want by using this simple technique.
You’re saying that about Tanker damage versus a Brute at 50% Fury, for which, several people (including the Captain) have stated that is an unrealistic number in a combat setting (the exact same thing that I observe in actual play).
We aren’t getting Bruising back, Auroxis (just like I am not getting the “set it and forget it” single Rage), you may as well accept it at this point.
Merits can give you a 3-1 Enhancement Converter ratio, which can be sold for 80k-90k in Wentworths. That alone can net you plenty of Influence for those level 25 Common Invention Origin Enhancements.
Merits can be acquired easily by joining Task Forces and playing Story Arc missions (which will have a book next to the Contact in the window).
Judging by the last patch, it’s safe to say that what we have now is going to be the change that goes to live. Those of us that don’t want to stack it don’t have to and those of us that want to stack it can. It’s really as simple as that at this point.
Indeed. That drop in capped damage doesn’t ever matter in any content that this game currently possesses and after seeing the testing in the old thread, the Captain changed his mind. Case closed.
Thank you for the information, Replacement. Don’t forget what I consider “required basics to avoid Endurance misery”
level 20 Miracle
level 30 Numina
(You can toss in a level 10 Panacea when you gain access to a PvP recipe)
These are all so easy to come by now, even for a new player if they do some basic forum research.
If all that you are using are the uniques, then either gathering them at the minimum level or using Attuned is the way to go. Shield Wall, Gladiator’s Armor and Panacea uniques all slotted at level 7 are very useful.
One of my 50s is a Water/Willpower Sentinel and it is one of my favorite characters. That unpredictable inherent really doesn’t affect my enjoyment of the character, however, I wouldn’t turn my nose up to an adjustment or two.
Just to give you an idea, I went with a Kinetic Melee/Willpower Brute for my sorcerer concept (inspiration loosely based off of Dr. Fate). KM looks like Spellcasting and Willpower grants durability and mystical recovery. Add in Sorcery (plus a few other options that make the concept work) and it fits much better than a Sentinel does.
