  1. Is pressing the spacebar and/or using WASD while running/leaping really that difficult? I can leap above and away from danger too. I can also outrun it.
  2. In all my years playing before sunset and now, never once have I found SS, SJ or Teleport any more or less difficult or unsafe to use than Fly. I mean, if the only claim here is that you can afk and grab a coffee while auto flying to a mission door vs needing to run around a building with SS, then that really isn't an argument as far as I'm concerned. Just about everyone I roll with doesn't use travel powers in missions either, unless they are stealthing one on a long TF or something, but in those instances they have invis running so "safety" isn't an issue.
  3. But base fly is not on par with base SS or SJ or Teleport.
  4. Why is there only 1 "speed" power? Thematically, there are superheroes that can fly at super luminal speeds or leap out of orbit. Making one less than the other in terms of speed is just silly.
  5. You're still not getting it - very simple math here... 2 > 1.
  6. That's the point - one pool needs 2 power selections to bring it on par with 1 power from the other. I'd also argue that "convenience" is irrelevant in a game where jetpacks, teleporters and such are available for purchase at any time.
  7. Very cool Heraclea! I visit your base every so often to explore. Love the layout and overall vibe it has. You should definitely share some more screen shots of it.
  8. Really think flight speed needs to be increased to bring it in line with other travel sets. It's a complete waste to have to take 2 powers in the flight pool to access Afterburner in order to make flight travel time almost comparable to other travel powers. Also a waste of slots - 3 slots in SJ is still a bit faster for me to get around vs. 6 slots for flight (3 fly, 3 afterburner).
  9. Thanks! Took forever to make that one and I'm still trying to get the roof right. It's a real tragedy that lighting is for the entire base. Looks a bit silly when you are inside and there are shadows from the sun everywhere, but oh well. Next I'm looking at doing an Atlantis themed base -- I actually found an interesting quirk with the editor that will allow me to build it so you are actually underwater and swimming throughout the whole thing. Either Atlantis or I have an idea for a Titans Tower type base. I really wish we had some standard building blocks to use... really don't feel like stacking a million cabinets lol.

  11. Gotta say I love these. I'm totally inspired to make a Themyscira themed SG of all women warriors and build a kickass island base for them.
  12. Wanted to share some progress shots of the HQ for Mini X-Men on Torchbearer. I call it Xavier's School for Gifted Minis :) Still needs a bit of finishing work on the exterior to add in flora around the mansion. Front door is the entry point into the base itself. That is still in progress, but will share a few interior shots once complete. P.S. yes that's Mini Wonder Woman checking the place out in the last pic, wondering when her Themyscira base will be done :P
  13. UPDATE: Tried file verification through Tequila and a complete uninstall/re-install and no dice. All characters within this particular SG are affected. I can log in and play them, just can't bring up the SG window. If I do, the game crashes to desktop. Doesn't appear to be an account based issue either as characters on my sons account are affected as well. Any help clearing this would be appreciated. I'd prefer not to re-roll all the characters or have them quit the SG as I have quite a lot of stuff in the base.
  14. For some reason, I'm unable to open the Supergroup window. If I click Super, the game crashes to desktop. It happens to every character in the SG. I'm still able to enter the base and use the SG chat channel, but opening the window crashes the game completely.

Sorry if these have been mentioned already - Just some good old fashioned building blocks that can be used to make floors, walls, ceilings that come in a variety of textures - painted, metal, concrete, wood etc. Also in the standard small/medium/large/extra large sizes. This helps to cut down on the number of items needed to stack to create rooms/floors etc. "Clusters" of trees, rocks etc so these kinds of things are a group of items instead of needing to place trees and such individually. A way to rename the teleport points to something other than Greek/Latin. A teleport point for "base exit". This would allow for people who are using teleport points within the base to exit from any point instead of needing to head back to the entrance portal itself. A method of using objects other than the existing teleport devices as teleport points. For example, using an ordinary door as the teleport instead of needing to hide portal behind it.

  17. This is in the UI that lets you click to set floor and ceiling heights and also to fill it floor to ceiling. IIRC you can click Current Room and then Object above the menu buttons and the UI part you want is to the right. It looks like this; Just make sure all the ceiling ones are not filled in by clicking on them, then setting your high ceiling texture to Open Sky
  18. Well, sure.... the real thing would be better, no question. Just offering a suggestion on a workaround until we do get one.
  19. Try cycling through the grid size options by hitting F1 until you get the option for Grid Disabled. That allows for super precise placement.
  20. If you just want to see the open sky from within your base, set the ceiling height to maximum and under the high ceilings style, there is an option for Open Sky.
  21. Lava you can get away with by coloring the muddy water surfaces a reddish/orange color and adding in flame effects. Not perfect, but it does work. I did this for a base that I built. Will try to post some photos of it.
  22. Rolled this as a new alt to try it out. I've heard a few people say that Bio is a great set. Any suggestions for slotting Bio armor or sample builds are appreciated. Not interested in truly pimping out this alt at this time, so IO set bonuses aren't a must for me. Thanks
  23. Yes, you can upgrade the plot size without disturbing what you already have, so long as the rooms are within the plot itself. Upgrading plot size is free of charge. To my knowledge there is no way to directly link salvage racks to the invention table .
