Thank you. That is a good summary. PFF appears to be a weakened version of Hibernate, since I can't affect anyone else and can't rest, while Hibernate allows me to recover. Fire appears great, but outside of theme since the toon will be an Earth toon. Repulsion might be good.

I'm playing a Seismic/Earth blaster and am near level 35. I'm looking at several Masteries, and most are out of theme. I'm mostly considering Force, Ice, and Mace. For Force, I would have to first pick Personal Force Field or Repulsion, both of which I consider to be useless. Mace is good, but I don't like the appearance of holding a mace, since my toon uses innate abiliities. I'm mostly considering Ice, since I can color it brown and make it look similar to stone. Does anyone have any opinions of what is good?

I believe that the +Def from Storm Kick would be overkill with SR, so I wonder if StJ would be better. Is one better than the other or are they about the same?

The problem might be that you didn't give it a chance to reset. If I delete or rename a toon and then make a new toon with the same name, I first delete or rename, and then I log off the game and stay off for 10 or more minutes. Then, I log back on and make the new toon. I've never had a problem with choosing the same name, and one of my toons has a name that is very popular in many MMOs.

Many people have duck themed toons. I would like to see a duck bill.

Many of my toons have punny names, and I get very happy when someone sends me a compliment on my name or my bio. Likewise, I send compliments when I like someone's name, bio or costume.

I was in Yin. At the end of the first mission, there is a room with several doors. I asked everyone to stay and help destroy them with me, but they all left. If they all stayed, we could have finished them quickly

I like the Energy Aura power but hate its appearance. Even when I choose a color for min appearance (usually dark blue), it still appearance like a large cloud is surrounding my toon. I would really like it if we could have an option to reduce or eliminate its appearance.

I'm trying to decide between Ice/Ice Blaster or Ice/Cold Corr. This will be for PVE, and mostly groups. I don't solo often. I've read that Cold is one of the best Corrs, so I might go with that .

I don't always like to play Vet so if I want a change such as changing a powerset, specific powers, number of slots, appearance or something else, I will liquidate or transfer items, Influence and Merits and then restart the toon. The toon will be richer and better for levelling.

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, Minimal FX is not available for EA When using Bright, I can't choose black/black. I can only choose gray, which is very visible. I can choose black/black when using Dark, but that is very visible as well. I assuming that changing effects in the graphics settings and the City Modder would change the appearance on my screen, but not on everyone else's. I believe that everyone else would still see the EA cloud. I really want everyone to not see my EA effects, or as little as possible.

I love Energy Aura, but hate its appearance. I try to minimize its appearance by using a mostly blue costume and choosing the darkest blue for the EA color. Does anyone else have any other ways to minimize EA appearance?

Is Placate AOE now?

It appears that recharge affects the start or restart of a toggle. Does it affect the toggle during it? For example, if a toon has a damage shield or Maneuvers, does it make it damage or defend more often? Does it improve damage or defense in this way?

If I put a Recharge Enhancement in a Toggle Power, will it have any affect?

For a long time, I've wanted to make a plant based support. I've wondered if I should make Plant/NA Controller, or NA/Dark Defender. From the comments in this post, it appears that Def is better for a strong team while Contr is better for a weak team. I'll make a Def. Thanks for the comments.

Thanks everyone. All of your advice was appreciated. BR appears the be the best and the most Science Fictiony, so I plan to use BR.

I'm planning to make a Sci Fi themed doctor. I plan to use Emp and either BR or DP. I'm not sure which is better for a Def. I don't think that BR has many good secondary effects, so I wonder if it would be good for a Def. I plan to mostly group for TFs and other group missions. I only PVE. I don't PVP. Which do you think is best?

The duck in a bowl is ok, but I want a duck bill. It would be great for my toon to be a duck.

It appears to be good and is for for people who want an Ice theme, but I'm upset that it doesn't have Hibernate.
