I looked via Pigg Viewer Pro at the files. There are many of filetype .anim The internet says that .anim are Maya files. Examination of the Maya website here... https://help.autodesk.com/view/MAYAUL/2020/ENU/?guid=GUID-87541258-2463-497A-A3D7-3DEA4C852644 ... says this description for the file format. I wonder if the problem is that the format has changed over the years?

Cobolt Arachne stated here that the devs' tools are holding back development. Surely we have people who have the know-how regarding this matter? I will jump to ill-informed conclusions below. Terms: In the below Ill-informed conclusions, the term old format means the format of file which the game would use. Ill-informed conclusions: I would imagine that the problem could be alleviated if modern tools had either the capability to export animations in old format or if an exported modern file could be converted to the old format. Would this involve the writing of libraries and suchlike? If we know what's required, some of us have such knowledge or contacts who do. I invite you all to offer opinion and assistance if you can below.

The theme for the costume contest is Criminals this week. Sadly I can't be there (again), so I'd like to post my traditional burglar costume: Sly Old Fox Sylvestre Renard, The Original Fox, The Onion Seller, The Bicycle Thief. Robbing museums, galleries and banks since way back in the 20th century ... no safe is safe once the Fox gets a sniff of it! You can't really see in the image but he's got the moneybag and the money aura.

Yay! I've made it into a mod for easy use. It's called, wait for it... Music Character Creator Music Silenced I wanted to put music at the start because that's what people will probably look for, so it's called music twice. And double music is never bad, except when it is. ... I'll get me coat.

It looks like StarVoid / Captainstar made a mod that changes villain menu music? I can't find an old version of the mod that lets me see where the file goes, though. .. unless I try to find out where the mod manager puts the pigg file then open it in the pigg viewer... if that's possible.

BTW I want to say thanks to you, your list has improved my game audio immensely. 🙂 Just an error here or there is understandable - I've done giant laborious project before and my concentration wanes pretty quickly!

This took a while to track down. The (usually great) list of audio files here, is wrong in this instance. I found another reference to the music files on page 4 but it's not where they said it was either. and they are correct (I read the filename wrong). I was stumped. I had a look in the Piggs and I found no sign of the files in the above list. I then remembered that Solarverse has reimagined the music... I downloaded this music remake and examined the filename. The file you want is: city of heroes/data/sound/ogg/frontend/h_menumusic_loop.ogg I don't know what the villain/praetorian ones are called, but I couldn't find them where Oubliette's list says.

I, too, considered this. I came to the conclusion that it can't be right because the 13375p34k is part of what makes freaks freaks. Don't you agree?

Just a minor mistake with the Sneaky Freak faction in the Villains->Sharkhead Isle->Lorenz Ansaldo arc. As you can see, the Sneaky Freaks aren't using their signature 13375P34K. Surely this guy should be called D0c 5n34km4s7a?

"Design your own" sounds flippant but it's not. Back on live I gave myself a challenge, with no experience of the AE tools, to write a 3 act, 5 plot point story in a single mission. It worked, it was fun and ended in a chaotic battle. It had rising tension, a homage to Aladdin, irony and a couple of sweet plot twists. It was a very memorable experience. Highly recommended. I never touched AE after that - my one and only experience of it. Maybe I should have done more. What I'm trying to say is that it's not impossible for a complete noob to generate something good. And now you can get ChatGPT to do all the things you can't. In fact, it could probably do the whole thing. The human would have to do the laborious donkeywork tho, as usual.

I guess it's the difference between being able to do a solid fill on the body because it's not an overlay on top of an existing colour ... or something? This is what I mean, the semi-transparent white mask. See how the body white is solid but on the face you can see the skin tone through the white. The weird thing is that it's NOT the skin tone, it's a feature of the white, somehow, because look, if we go with another skin colour... you can still see the caucasian-shaded skin on the cheeks.
