One reason I avoid archetypes that have Assault is that they don't have any conventional weapons (or conventional-adjacent, such as Beam Rifle). That's why I think Commando Assault might be well received. This would entail Knives, Guns, Grenades etc. (add your ideas below, if you like) All of these could be recycled from existing powers' animations. What do you think?

Why is the white head option (Head, [Secondary] -> White -you know, masks/facepaints) partially translucent? Or are all of the colours partially translucent and I can't tell? Is it a bug or a feature or a tradition, or an old charter, or something?

I have to agree with the OP. Why bother with the "take 2 extraneous powers" thing? What's the point in it? What does it do for you? How does it make the game better? It could just say, "this power costs 3 points" instead. Now, I'm not suggesting that be a thing, but it's effectively what the OP is stating. I don't want to save two points, I hardly ever get a character to 50, but I do think it's ... it's a throwback to a different time. A time before the fitness pool became inherent - that was the crossing of the Rubicon. It meant the game was significantly easier - a conscious choice by the developers: 4 free points. Do I want that to be exaccerbated? I don't think so. Perhaps they could remove a point from the two of the times you get 3 per level, but for that we get to choose whatever pool power with no pre-requirements? I haven't looked at the implications of that, it's just an idea.

This. Make a character that looks good. Copy someone on the "post your best costume here thread", change some colours - I try to stick to some simple principles; Three or Four colours. No more, no less. Use pure black sparingly, if at all. If you need help look for a complimentary colour wheel online. Trending colours in this cyberpunk era are turqoise/pink/electric blue and yellow. .. one of the best techniques is to try to replicate a design for a character from another game.

For comprehension. Why have genres of movies, or of music, for example? Why pigeon-hole a superhero, what is a Speedster, what is a Brute? Why categorise them at all? Stereotypes give people a quick idea of what you're referring to. If I say my character is a Rocketeer, for example, you know I'm talking about someone with a jetpack and trousers. Pigeon-holes are for comprehension. We're not all imaginative. In fact, I'd suggest that most of us really struggle with imagination. There's no such thing as creativity, instead we combine existing ideas - we stand on the shoulders of previous mixers. As Picasso said, "good artists copy, great artists steal". I think people will benefit from having ideas presented to them for them to add their own ideas to, rather than give them a blank page and expect divine intervention to provide a miracle.
