I say we just recruit here with just us ebil marketeers. Try to get as many people as possible and drop it all at an undisclosed time. I remember a group did that with luck charms back on live to prove that their price was correct and it wasn’t being manipulated as a lot of people claimed. -

First off, I’d like to say that I got this idea from the (many) nerf incarnate threads. For the one person who didn’t participate in any of those discussions, it boiled down to the game is too easy vs. you can make it harder. Obviously, this is oversimplified, but I don’t want to rehash old threads. I think a factor that the “you can make it harder” side didn’t address is the fact that people want to be rewarded for added difficulty. Its a “if I am going to intentionally hamstring myself, I would like additional rewards for it“ mentally. Enter in taskforce challenge settings. Everyone (I assume) knows that these settings are associated with badges for Ouroboros content and some master of TFs. With the badges, there is really no incentive to complete the challenges a second time, and for most TFs they give no incentive at all. What I am suggesting is to give a %merit value to each challenge setting. I have not done any data collection or math for proposed values mostly because if everyone hates this idea, I would have wasted my time. Now, I don’t want this to sound like, “Gimme MOAR merits.” There may need to be a small % reduction in TF merits to balance it (I am not calling for merit reductions). This is a possible example, remember I have not collected any data. Yin TF 20 merits base with a 10% reduction to balance = 18 Time - bronze +5% - silver +10% - gold +15% No temporary powers +10% No inspirations +5% No enhancement +15% Enemies buffed +5% Self debuffed +5% No travel powers +15% New possibility: No set bonuses +10% I think if this was possible it would allow the game to be made more difficult on an optional basis while rewarding the added difficulty. I’m sure there are some potential issues or possible improvements that I would love to hear about. TL:DR - give challenge settings a reward in TFs.

I don’t think that having a resist and defense would be that bad or required for every build especially because it would be an auto which would be a smaller number, would require an extra power pick vs tough/weave, and if the defense was only a certain position rather than weave defense to all. I could see giving additional buffs to the powers, the more you took. -
With an interruption enhancement or two, aid self and other are useable in battle

I don’t know why i wasn’t able to teleport without LoS. I’ll try and see what I was doing wrong next time I’m in game. I think null would be perfect for disabling the hover period (if possible) to be able to keep it for those who want it. also, shades get long range teleport?

Like you, I have tried to make teleport work as travel power several times. Each time it seems so blah. Even with binds, I wasn’t able to enjoy it. Recently I tried again to make a teleportation character, but I wanted to take it one step further. I wanted to make a “combat teleport”. Here is what I set up (with help from people on the discord). To get around the can’t activate 2 powers with one click, I set it up to turn powers on auto. /macro_image “forgot what I used” “slash” “powexec target teleport$$powexecauto slash” /macro_image “forgot what I used” “strike” “powexec target teleport$$powexecauto strike” /bind w “+forward$$powexec_auto hasten” The good news, it worked, but that made teleport’s problems more apparent. The problems -hover’s activation time means that the target may have moved out of melee range -The hover period after teleport is frustrating. I can’t take a couple steps to engage my target. -Teleport needs line of sight. I did not know this until the other day. I thought I might have done something wrong with my macro so I tested it on a corner. The animation plays and I “teleport” to my same location. Solutions (This is the suggestion) -Allow teleport to be activated without line of sight. This would also open up teleporting to a teammate’s location (something else I tried) -remove or allow the bird to remove the hover period -been suggested before but here it is, reduce the animation time before the teleport. TLDR- buff teleport Thanks for your time. edit: I forgot to add my other suggestion. Replace long range teleport or combine recall friend and teleport for into one power with and add “combat teleport” power. This would do what my macros above do, without having to set powers to auto. It could be a toggle that used endurance every time you Attacked/teleported.
