  1. Crab Spiders are also an excellent choice for a fully stacked build. A perma-haste Crab Spider basically has the AoE damage of a Blaster, the toughness of a Scrapper and the pets of a Mastermind.
  2. Ah, that would explain why my Bots/Traps was taking so long soloing stuff. I hope they get it fixed soon.
  3. I'll admit I've been loving the changes on my AR/Dev Blaster. Sniper Rifle is actually more powerful than most T3 blasts (at least it is according to Pines, I keep forgetting to check in game) and Targeting Drone means fast-snipe is no problem (and means Sniper Rifle does even more damage since they never removed that synergy). I always loved AR for the AoE damage but now I actually have a decent single target attack chain (with decent soft control to boot), so more having to use Buckshot to fill in for single target damage.
  4. So for the conversion interface it would be nice if there was a way to have it remember if I'm doing "Rarity" or "Type" conversions. Currently it always defaults to Rarity for out of set conversions which is a pain if I want to do a bunch of type conversions.
  5. So the primary issue I have with suggestions like this is that at the end of the day they won't really work. Most level 50 characters don't really care about XP once they've unlocked their preferred incarnate powers so functionally speaking this just increases base influence gains for level 50 characters. The problem is that if you increase influence gains for high level characters then prices in the market will go up by a similar ratio at which point we're back here with people asking to raise inf rates again. If you want to bring market prices down relative to the inf earned naturally then you need to introduce more stuff (recipe drops, reward merits etc.) not increase inf rates. In the meantime the advice I'd offer to anyone who needs inf is the same: use your reward merits. At the moment, Enhancement Converters are selling for about 200K spending one reward merit gives you three of them which will give you about 540K after market fees. Honestly for most people that's more profitable than farming for inf.
  6. Plus you get Soul Drain as a separate damage buff.
  7. One possible suggestion, most powers have a retintable version of the default animation as well as alternate animations. So you could just set all powers to the retintable versions and set the colors on them. That way even if they don't quite match the original colors they will at least match each other.
  8. Can we add to the list Tanks who insist on doing complicated pulls on every spawn? It's like if you don't want to initiate combat that's fine just pass me some purples and let me initiate, but don't waste everyone's time with unnecessary pulls.
  9. Somewhat related Full Frontal Nerdity has been doing some comics about the revival: http://ffn.malletspace.net/
  10. I recommend putting them on separate tabs.
  11. Eh, so long as it isn't causing excessive server load let people lay the way they want to. People multiboxing is no skin off my back.
  12. Drain is a viable means of defense. However you generally need some mitigation from other sources to survive long enough to do so. Time/Electric Defender is a good example of this. Time Manipulation keeps you alive long enough for Short Circuit to drain them.
  13. It's worth checking market prices. In a lot of cases buying recipes directly with merits is less efficient than buying another item, selling it and using the Inf to buy the recipes that you actually need. Enhancement Boosters/Converters currently offer a better Inf:Merit ratio than most recipes.
  14. So what? If the admins were making money from this then you might have a point but at a basic level they are doing this because they want to do it with donations just being used to keep the lights on. Obviously it would be nice if they continued some development but at the end of the day they have no financial incentive or need to do so. It's not like people stopping playing will result in the admins being out of a job.
  15. That is correct. However keep in mind you need about 90% Pre-ED enhancement so you'll either need to dedicate four slots to To Hit enhancements or use Enhancement Boosters.
  16. Plus at a certain point the difference between paying 5K and 10K for a piece of common salvage is functionally irrelevant. If I'm crafting enhancements to sell I'd rather just get the salvage quickly and call it a day. I'll sometimes bid creep the rare salvage a bit where it's a bigger difference but it's generally not worth the time for the common stuff.
  17. The LFG queue was always pretty buggy. There's a reason that no one really used it back on live.
  18. Leveling to 50 with level 15 IOs will be difficult, it's like leveling to 50 with DOs sure you can do it but it's not great. Personally I recommend slotting level 25 or better IOs when leveling (I tend to slot level 25s at 22 and then use higher tier ones for new slots only). While it is more expensive than SOs in the short term you save quite a bit of inf by not having to replace your enhancements every 5 levels. If you're having cash flow problems the simple option is to run a TF or some story arcs and use the merits to get some inf. If you trade merits for Enhancements Boosters or Enhancement Converters you can get about 500K per merit (after market fees) which should cover your IO costs pretty easily.
  19. There isn't really a leveling guide because leveling is so flexible, a lot of it depends on what you want. If your goal is to level quickly then yeah 8-man teams are the way to go unless you have someone to power-level you. I tend to try and mix a few task forces in there as well, partly for badges, partly for merits and partly because it makes a change to just running radio missions.
  20. One thing to keep in mind is the fast-snipe changes. While getting permanent fast-snipe is difficult on a Blaster outside of Devices (you need to over-slot Tactics plus get a Kismet IO) you can potentially do so which allows you to use Zapp as part of a standard single target attack chain which helps to alleviate those problems with Electrical Blast.
  21. I have to say based on this thread that Everlasting is truly the successor to Virtue.
  22. I'll admit I'd quite like this. Back on live I had a character who was a female wearing a suit of power armor. Since I hate how the armored options look for women (why would I put heels on a suit of power armor?) I ended up using the male body type for her armored form.
  23. Not anymore, they changed how the market works. For set IOs (both recipes and enhancements) all levels use the same set of bids with the buyer receiving the item at the level they bid for. So if, for example, I list a level 32 Positron's Blast on the AH and someone wants to buy a level 50 version they can potentially buy mine and the game will convert it to a level 50 version.
  24. So one thing I think people aren't really talking about is that if your goal is to be able to buy stuff on the market then asking for Inf rates to be increased is a BAD idea. Market prices are based on the ratio of inf to stuff people earn. So if you increase inf drop rates without increasing the rate at which stuff drops then prices will increase to match and we're basically all back where we started. Right now if you need some cash the best option is to get some merits and trade those for stuff you can sell. Enhancement Boosters seem to be one of the more profitable options at the moment since they're going for 2-3million each and only cost 5 merits. Enhancement Converters have a similar inf:merit ratio since they're half a merit each and sell for 200K. There might be some more profitable options but those are the best ones I found when I wanted some cash a few days ago.
  25. According to the description of the set as a whole:
