This makes the most sense to me of all.

Whenever you want your fx not to show, you can use these macros. (I like it for my fire farmer so I can see the action/baddies better.) Remeber, when you have them turned off, weapons will not show either. Hide: /macro NoFX "suppressCloseFx 1" Show: /macro FX "suppressCloseFxDist 0"

The small window, top center of your screen...did you click on the 'mission' portion? I keep that window on the upper far right on my screen. Other than that, I don't know. I have never had it happen to me.

Someone posted about bringing back the old PhysX for exactly this reason, for the effects. If you run back and forth in front of the tram atm machines, money will fly out, and in many missions, powers will scatter/blow up stuff. The old, separate PhysX system was changed by Nvidia a while back and is now incorporated into the video cards...and you have a choice not to add it when installing drivers.

I used to suffer that with my old pc, but there were a few commands that really helped. Once in a while it happens here and those old commands still work! /sync (works really well) /neterrorcorrection 1 or /neterrorcorrection 2 (For better connection to server) /reloadgfx (Unloads all textures causing them to be reloaded dynamically. This makes your screen go wonky for a few seconds, so don't be alarmed!!)

I don't think so. My characters would appear in the med bay facing the wall. I tried revolving the receptacles, but it didn't work. What worked was moving them to the opposite wall.

I think it was created to fit over coats and jackets...
