  1. Is it bad that I read this as: "MMO preferences change" I don't think we are talking about camping a spawn point for a badge or reward but something akin to an open world concept which is on point with current trends.
  2. Maybe what is needed is some S/L & Fyre mobs in zones at appropriate levels to be +4 or +5. Street sweeping should already provide higher rewards. The mobs available just are too difficult for many farmers.

  6. Correct, for heroes the level cap was raised with issue 1. For Villains, raising the villain level cap to 50 occurred with Issue 7. (Jun 2006) Regardless the point is, powers were not add to power sets with the additional levels. They did increase available power choices at times with additional power pools. This continues today. Vet levels are post level 50 and after 100s or 1000+ hours of content. With those vet levels come new powers in the form of Incarnates. While the explanation of Incarnates beyond opening the alpha may be lackluster the idea is fairly clever.
  7. It's troo the game at one point was 1-40 and then expanded to 50. That expansion, correct me if I am remembering incorrectly, did not add extra powers to the power sets. I don't mind seeing ideas on how to expand content. Good for @CaptainSalerno throwing an idea out there and taking the heat for it being a terrible terrible one. =) Adding some non incarnate content is definitely in the plan. We also have an amazing tool in the AE to create player authored content. Keep the ideas coming @CaptainSalerno
  8. Opinions vary. Glad there is an outlet to allow folks to share their thoughts. Would folks like to see awesome names for new power sets, maybe. Does it really matter - No. At least not until you ask a marketing person.

  15. I buy a lot for crafting and never pay that much. Even this past weekend, but, am also never in a hurry. Is someone manipulating the price? I dunno, if someone is manipulating salvage, both hands should be cut off and then burn them at the stake, slowly. Don't try and grief people's free time.
  16. @Bopper Very interesting. Clear easy to adjust levers. Definitely viable. If they decide to go away from the mini-nuke concept this does to stay true to the existing power while adding some oomph. @Super Homer are you thinking targeted AoE for the taunt? I only ask because you mention an option where it would only Fear and -ToHit the main target.. wait I see you're proposing adding damage to a targeted AoE version of Touch of Fear. Changing a single target to a AoE might result in reducing the Fear and -ToHit. Maybe that's a good trade off, would need some more numbers.

  19. @Captain Powerhouse I would just like to say the initial Dark Consumption tweak was inspired and a thing of beauty in my opinion. It kept the existing functionality and provided some additional aoe damage in a unique way. Lowering the recharge and increasing it's viability in both low endurance and high endurance situations. Bonus damage applied to targets closest to the caster opened up an opportunity to do same real damage without clearing entire spawns. Very elegant. Sure criticals were going to be too much and the curve would need adjustment. Hopefully this will be the starting point when/if this gets picked back up.

Thanks for putting those in one spot! @Super Atom you do see how you say 'samey' and then go on to make an argument to keep the same formula as controllers (even though this is a defender power set)?   25. Shadow Maul is getting a buff. Possibly live with page 5. (Tanker, Scrapper, Brute, Stalker) will be much larger, faster cone that's actually capable of easily hitting multiple targets - especially on tanks! Potentially: Arc increased from 45 to 120 degrees Recharge increased from 8 to 11 seconds Cast Time reduced from 3.07 to 2.35 seconds Damage lowered from scale 2.156 to 1.6184 DPS reduction is minor, it has only been lowered from scale 0.653 to scale 0.645 Target Cap increased from 10 to 16 for Tankers Target Cap increased from 5 to 10 for Scrappers, Brutes and Stalkers
