That's a very oversimplification of those sets' mechanics. But if that's your opinion on the new sets, then I don't really have anything to discuss with you. Just fyi - I am not a fan of the combo system mechanics either. I think there are definitely more than a handful that feel similarly. It's cool some are available for those that like em. I think they simply meant keeping the current 'look at these hands' animation as an option for Total Focus. Nothing more than that.

I shoot for 2 FF +rech in recharge focused builds. As for @DemonWithin's question, simple answer: Shield Charge. Spring Attack may also be available for your character. Cross Punch = If your good at getting more than 3 enemies in a short range cone, this could also have potential.

power creep, balance, actual variety vs re-skinning. it is a challenge.

troo Hey could you go collect 70 enhancements for me at the lowest price you can find so that I can resell them. Sounds like a personal shopper for my store on the Black Market.

Okay, okay I'll go check it out.

Charging for Powerlevelling to level 50
Troo replied to Queen Nefertiti's topic in General Discussion
I want to agree. However, a new channel does not address the behavior that could lead players to be in violation of the User Agreement or Code of Conduct. While 'we' may feel we should get to do whatever we want in-game, that simply is not true. There are boundaries and there are consequences. (b) If You violate the Code of Conduct then Homecoming may, in its sole and absolute discretion, terminate Your Account under Section 2(b). (c) If You help another user of the Game violate the Code of Conduct then Homecoming may, in its sole and absolute discretion, terminate Your Account under Section 2(b). Lesser actions: The removal of your character’s name, costume, or description Deletion of your character, supergroup, or Architect mission Restrictions placed on your ability to communicate (eg: a chat ban) Temporary or permanent suspension from our servers As some have stated in this thread "time is money" or "I should be compensated for my time". Note: The Code of Conduct is explicit, "do not attempt to exchange real money for in-game services or influence". It is my opinion that Charging for Powerlevelling is exchanging real world currency (time) and barely one step removed from 'real money'. Globally advertising that service could result consequences. -
kudos @Shadeknight for your post formatting. oh and for "Homecoming will be here forever.", that's nice to see.

Just change the set back and we'll see what's 'wrong with' it. For clarity, your statement "There's lots wrong with energy melee. Changing this one thing doesn't fix that." is incorrect in too many ways. So much so I feel I've been trolled.

I may have missed that.. sorries. Just change the set back.

yes yes, but you are a demon. -
Even with a small sample size of the poll. It appears some solution involving the top 4 choices would make the most sense.

Like a game show!! "Bob, I can guess that build cost for 800 million." But we have a market: If the black market / auction house could only let us upload a shopping list and then place the bids.. hmm, you still might make a mistake with a zero. I agree with Sakai - doing it in in-game from a SG base is the only way I can think of it currently working. But it does sound risky and open to exploit. Hmm.. you know, this gets real close to being something folks would get banned for. Large transfers of currency. sharing logins. transferring accounts.. bad bad bad After consideration, this is a terrible idea. Use of the word 'Pay' in the subject should have been a clue that this was either click bait or maybe something possibly nefarious. (even if unintentional) @Veayou are correct though. 1B / 70 = 14.3 million per enhancement average, that is overpaying. Through normal game play and crafting that number would likely come down significantly. Maybe if@Vea could get another player to role play a shop keeper.. well that's just sounds.. back to this is a terrible idea. Stop Being Lazy (just kidding, there could be an idea there)

Seems fun. Get started on the art and graphics and I'm sure they could plug it in somehow.- 16 replies

I would echo that there has definitely been some noticeable 'lag'.

Sorry to see this and good luck to you. I've always felt COX provided a massive amount of content and a very high level of replay-ability. 15 or so archetypes each with dozens of power combinations, over 50 zones of missions, task forces, trials and large scale events with one of the best character creators I've seen. It has something for explorers, crafters, completion-ists, socializers, solo players, teams, player vs player and on and on.

Hmmm, I was purely thinking for fun and not increased rewards. I'd guess normal rewards would apply. For infinite mode an increasing wave of enemies coming to the player or team without break could prove rewarding. Maybe there could be something similar to a mission reward if a challenge is met to some degree and a bonus for doing something exceptional.

There are some badges. I don't believe there are any increases.

If a player out levels a contact or mission it is available in Ouroboros. I wouldn't consider that voluntarily skipping. We have an opportunity to play that content at the intended level range. If folks with higher level characters want to do a lower level task force with some friends (which is great) they exemplar/malefactor down. They do not get to do lower level task forces as a fully built out 50 with incarnate abilities. Note: Standing in an AE farm from 1-50 or something similar is what I would consider voluntarily skipping. I get it. The root request of the original post as I understand it is not ill-intended. It may even be possible with a small slice of the content. (if it's easy it may be worth investigating) Overall, it is not how it was intended or designed. It's a large game. Originally it didn't go to level 50 much less incarnates. Reworking all of the legacy content may be resource intensive and very challenging. It's not going to happen with a sweeping change. A handful of arcs could be identified that might translate to higher levels and trickle out one or two at a time.. maybe that's possible.

Dude. the irony. fyi - I didn't assume anything. To your question: "And those that didn't farm their way to 50 but still want to continue to play at 50?" Answer: Keep playing. Lots to do. Dark Astoria, Cimerora, The Storm Palace, The Hive / The Abyss, Monster Island, Peregrine Island, Recluse's Victory, Grandville, Rikti War Zone, etc. There is level 50 or near 50 content available in Ouroboros if it was missed. New content hopefully, and AE player created content. Would folks, for example, also expect task forces like Positron to scale to 50? "Heroes and Villains are auto-exemplared to the appropriate level for each story arc to ensure the challenge level remains constant." To suggest that the way it works is broken and needs fixing is simply incorrect. If there is an idea to have all missions play at 50 - this game has some limitation which may make that difficult. Some of the arcs may work. Others not so much. Spending time reworking content that folks voluntarily skipped.. well, in my opinion, any resources that could go to this could go to fixing actual broken items and new content that all could enjoy.

Charging for Powerlevelling to level 50
Troo replied to Queen Nefertiti's topic in General Discussion
@ShardWarrior I did make long posts. That's on me. I am not okay with charging for power leveling. It should be treated the same as a real money transfer. -
@VileTerror the three stooges picture that popped into my head: teammates suddenly whacking each other and not knowing why. @Tyrannical "Friendly fire is enabled." That would definately make AoE, cones, and PBAoE very interesting.

COX was designed with some missions and enemies groups for specific level ranges. Some exist only at certain ranges. That you are unaware of this is okay. The game actually throws subtle new challenges at characters as they progress. Folks can read up on issue 11 ay https://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Issue_11 Ouroboros System/Flashback Heroes and Villains can use the Flashback system to return to story arcs that they may have missed and replay hundreds of missions from earlier in the game. Players can set mission parameters for these missions to earn special badges. Heroes and Villains are auto-exemplared to the appropriate level for each story arc to ensure the challenge level remains constant. Through the Menders of Ouroboros players become able through time and relive major events from the history of Paragon City and the Rogue Isles. Heroes who travel back in time can embark on missions such as preventing the Circle of Thorns from unleashing a powerful demon, a story originally presented in the City of Heroes comic book. Villains who journey through time can get the chance to assist Lord Recluse in his initial campaign to conquer the Rogue Isles, as well as other unconfirmed missions.
