  1. that's fair @Haijinx it's also like me wanting to play a petless mastermind. I can do it but that's not what was intended. that said, if we can mount a flying carpet or rocket board we should be able to mount flying dragons or even a scooter.
  2. I get what you are saying. I'm also going to strongly disagree. Travel powers = A foundational aspect of what let's many players feel super and set the game apart. If a player chooses to not take a travel power and they have to ninja run across a map or rely on a teammate's Recall Friend. That's a choice that was made. Live with it or respec. To say there are only a handful of pool powers worth taking is opinion and likely exaggeration. There is usually at least 2 decent powers in a pool and sometimes more. I like a lot of them and find the number of pools we can choose sometimes limiting. This leads me to make intentional choices. Sure I want Hasten, Hover, Combat Jumping, Maneuvers and Weave to easily soft cap a squishie AND boost recharge. Is the game broke that I can't, heck no. This is part of what makes it interesting and so replay-able for lots of folks.
  3. could we entice you to work on energy transfer instead.. 🤪😁 PK will likely knock it out of the park if they get some help with the UI. Alternately if you compared notes they might switch to a badge tracker or off-line AE mission builder.
  4. I am guessing this and PK's are the same effort. That said, it's looking nice and clean. Folks will want to see numbers for each power, enhancement and build totals. I would guess these are also known and in the works.
  5. Oh that's a swing going from brutes to the convoluted hot mess that is Incarnates..
  6. Rouge, vigilante, resistance, loyalist.. "Tip and Morality missions that can sway the character's alignment."
  7. #1 "Would you sacrifice Def for Psi resist?" Nope #2 the game provides a way to temporarily address things that come up from time to time. Inspirations. #3 "playing around in Mids reborn" Don't trust Mids (great tool but it is rarely 100% correct 100% of the time) Lastly, like much of the game, it boils down to preference or trade offs.
  8. @GM Miss does an amazing job at summarizing discussions and giving credit to constructive contributors of each discussion by editing the original post. I am going to agree with @Tyrannical and offer an slightly altered suggestion. Suggestion - Include a link with the title in the original post once a discussion has started. We could just check there each Sunday and also view previous discussions. This would seem to be a minor effort compared to what GM Miss is already doing. Link could be the title or separate. Example: Weekly Discussion 36: Arachnos Widows (Link) Why? Sure I can be lazy from time to time. (actual alt character name: Lazy [50 stone/fire brute]) However, using the forum search tool to look for "Weekly Discussion 12: Costume and Character Creation Ideas" returned "Found 88075 results" of which the first page does not include the searched item. Refining the search with my especially weak search foo did not help. (maybe this discussion only happened on Discord)
  9. "Nemesis Vengeance shouldn't stack"... this is working as intended. There are strategies that can help minimize or overcome the effect. While it can definitely be a bit frustrating, a little education and application of knowledge.. we want some non-grind challenges, don't we?
  10. I would like to list the some of the qualities of redside rather than bashing the terrible suggestions from @Raught19 or the clearly ill-informed opinions some have stated. I'll return to this thread an try and focus on some additional positives. More solo friendly Limited need for excessive travel Where brutes, corruptors, dominators, masterminds, stalkers, arachnos soldiers and arachnos widows came from Coop zones PVP zones Early access to some accolades
  11. ..thinks to myself "what could I post following that pansy Denis Leary?" Answer to the question from @chuckv3 = No ..but then they went on to make a suggestion that may not be needed1 while potentially displaying an astonishing level of self entitlement and narcissism matched only by their laziness2. 1 millions of characters have been created in this game without said suggestion 2 or not Use 'em or lose 'em post can be found here: Homecoming Server Update (May 20th): What's Next? Ever had to get creative and use a upper case "i" for a lowercase "L", add a dot or dash to their name, replaced a vowel with a number or some other awful workaround. Do you R3aILy want a nam3 BAD ENOUGH?
  12. you got me there.. cheese pie just doesn't sound right (and could be confused with pineapple-less pizza)
  13. Smaug.. ..because who doesn't want to be a dragon sometimes.
  14. nah, cake sucks.. pie and cookies is where it's at!
  15. could be, maybe they count each task as a 'mission'. 'The Saga of Faathim - Justin Augustine' has more "missions" but not as long to complete as ' Explorers and Exploiters - Dr. Quaterfield'
  16. 220+ posts in a couple days?! Looks like I'll be adding 'Inequality' to all new subject titles. Examples: 'Costume Inequality - Post your favorites here' 'Power Inequality - Energy Transfer' 'Archtype Inequality - Scrappers'
  17. Lots of ways to measure Task Forces/Strike Forces Task Forces The Saga of Faathim - Justin Augustine - 32 missions (42 merits) Explorers and Exploiters - Dr. Quaterfield - 24 missions (122 merits) Soul of the Woodsman - Numina - 23 missions (36 merits) The Fall of the Clockwork King - Synapse - 15 missions (58 merits) The Legend of Ruladak - Sara Moore - 15 missions (63 merits) The Saga of Lanaru - Faathim the Kind - 12 missions (73 merits) Strike Force The Temple of the Waters - Strike Force Operative Renault - 14 missions (24 merits) Pirates of the Sky - Silver Mantis - 6 missions (42 merits)
  18. market fees definitely add up. that's a good point and something to keep in mind. if you look closely you'll notice I tried to inflate some of the costs a bit. also, 335k x 2 =1M doesn't really pencil out. 335k x 2 = 670K with room for 1 or 2 additional conversions and market fees while still remaining profitable. with thousands of items sold, i can say with absolute certainty, more than doubling would and should be considered the objective. (while not what someone starting should expect, i currently shoot for at least a 10x avg return on profitable items, it takes much more time and is not always successful)
  19. Every once in a while a glimpse of the full shark for Spirit Shark Jaws
  20. patience is a primary key.
  21. Here's an example using: Jaunt (teleport) = Yellow (uncommon recipe) and not so spendy Teleport just happens to have only two enhancement sets Jaunt (uncommon) and Time & Space Manipulation (rare). Due to level ranges of enhancement sets and their overlaps it is not uncommon to find similar situations throughout the enhancement set categories. Converting If a recipe cost 25k, salvage costs 10k and convertors cost 100k (prices could be more or less) that's a total investment of 335k to get something to sell. Selling for 1M doubles your investment less market and crafting fees. Selling for 2M works out to about 5 times the investment. Sometimes the convertor randomizer grants something worth even more.
  22. Apologies I didn't respond sooner. A single target specialist can be effective verse multiple targets. While engaging large groups stun, placate and fear (or similar) can temporarily remove 3, 4, 5 targets and their incoming attacks pretty quickly while disposing of the rest of the group. Basically divide and conquer. I find this more 'fun' than spamming AoEs on say my ss/fire brute. Typically boss first then the rest.
  23. the videos are very informative.
  24. other ideas
  25. So like when are we actually gonna be able to bet on Furious George? Can we get monkey fight club for our bases? There are many opportunities for mini games inside the game. (pin ball machines, card tables, slot machines, etc.) I can't remember ever seeing an actual list of all the mini-games and my search foo didn't turn up much. PVP mini games (at least 6) Event mini games Badges Accolades Powers If you know of an mini game and don't mind sharing please post em.
