Duplicate Log-In Page Another Computer
Marine X replied to KR Dumpster Diver's topic in Homecoming Launcher
Just download and install the Homecoming Launcher on the 2nd PC, along with any additional mods, COH Modder for example, then use your Account Login. When you log in It will populate your Character List from the server and then you should be good to go. -
She-Hulk: Attorney At Law
Marine X replied to ThaOGDreamWeaver's topic in Comic, Hero & Villain Culture
My absolute favorite is the issue where a Photographer Snaps a photo of her, from a Helicopter, sunbathing Nude on the patio of her Penthouse. She spends the whole comic trying to keep the Photos from being published, in vain. But when they come out in print it turns out that someone in the publishing process thought it was a camera malfunction that caused her to be green, so they had the prints color corrected before publication. The photos didn't even look like her anymore. -
May not really be considered a bug but it is definitely something that obviously got missed at some point. Neither the ICON Employee or Facemaker NPC Tailors will work in a Praetorian base, they say " I don't talk to people from another Dimension ". Since Heroes and Villains can choose to use either one in their bases, this seems like we either need to open them up for Praetorian use or create an additional NPC that will function. Many people Goldside would, I'm sure, appreciate the addition. Thanks for your patience, and all your hard work.

Just started a Praetorian, well created a long time ago, but am finally working on him, and noticed that in the Invulnerabilty Set that Resist Energies now provides a resistance to Psychic, which has always been the Inv. Achilles Heal you had to find a way to fix. When did this Happen? I always try to read Patch Notes carefully but totally missed that. Makes my day, can't believe I didn't know about it though.

Have a Praetorian Base Question. Have never bothered with a base before, as I was planning to leave, I may take the hero exit just for the accolades to be available. But anyway, was setting up the base and neither the Icon Employee or Facemaker will do anything but tell me they won't talk to people from other dimensions, is there no Praetorian Taylor option for bases? All the other NPCs work fine, Base TP, Auto-Doc, Pillar of Ice and Flame, Merit Vendor, Crafting all work, but not the Taylor.

I have done Praetorian Characters before, which exit to Blueside and then usually try to stick to content that is relevant. What is the most efficient leveling Method to stay in Praetoria to level 50??, and how do you handle the Exit Arc so that you don't have to choose blue or red, or do you choose but not go. I have the current Praetorian character to level 12, so the time to act is closing in.

Rescue Jason and Kenneth from TPN is bugged.
Marine X replied to Manslayer49's topic in Help & Support
Just ran this mission this morning, there is a red arrow pointing to the ground next to 2 PPD in the first room you see from Mission Entrance, found Jason on the floor behind them near a Furniture Grouping after defeating them. You need to speak with him and acquire his Password or the other mission objectives would not be available. Mission completed with no issues, so either the Devs fixed it or it was a case of not being able to spot him laying on the floor, he did not stand out very well. -
Just curious what resolution your Computer is running at? I know you said that the Display is at 1080p, but If you could go to a Higher Graphic Resolution, which usually shrinks the size of menu windows, then increase the windows scale, perhaps there is a Happy point that will Improve the Text size. You have a large area to work with so who knows, but Good Luck.
-
Have you made any adjustments here? Made it easier for me before my Cataract Surgery. Windows Scale is the only thing I know of that will increase Font size within the Menus as well, you can then shrink the Vertical size of the Windows to offset some of the scale increase, I am usually at 85% as far as Windows Scale.

Did she recall ever having started any posts or responding to any topics? Having her forum "user name", may be of use in getting her logged in here, then she can reset the password. If you know the user name for the forums, and/or game account, I would include that info in the ticket to support, even if you lack the passwords for either. Sadly the only other alternative would be starting from scratch.
-
Can she log into the forums? If so, all she has to do is go to the account tab at the top of this page and reset the game password manually.

This is something the Devs will need to look at. The changes regarding Offensive Toggle Powers may not apply to Irradiated Ground as it isn't as much an Offensive Power as it is an Automatically Respawning Player Based Psuedo Pet, so it may be in a gray area that the changes may not have addressed. Would be good to get it included in the changes but they will have to see what can be done.

Moving Base Portal inside your base breaks the portal.
Marine X replied to Sanguinesun's topic in Bug Reports
It has been stated by @Dacy that due to the latest update some base exit issues have been appearing, in most cases allowing the base to sit completely idle with no one in it for 6 to 15 minutes will allow it to reset and begin working again. -
Pendragon is Supposed to be speaking to the Mission Holder, Warhorse, but instead addresses the last NPC Foe that he had targeted. Not a big deal as the rest of the mission was fine and was completed with no further issues. Mission is in Night Ward from Belladonna Vetrano.

With the names Policy warning system active, although Renaming not in force, now would be a great time to start moving seldom played characters to areas with no Log Out countdown timers. These areas include City Hall, Pocket D, Hospitals, Universities, Midnighter Clubs, Vanguard Base, AE, Enhancement Stores, Arenas or other indoor spaces. Cuts down the hassle of waiting for the timer to expire when cycling through your characters.

Did you relocate the Base Entrance Portal? If you can get in the base, you will emerge in the Entrance room, and the edit base options should be visible, click edit base, click current room and remove anything that could be blocking access to the Portal, click on the Base Entrance Portal and place it back in the center of the Entrance room. Exit from the Base Editor, You should then be able to enter and exit normally.

Base Editor Changes: Things We'd All Like to See
Marine X replied to Dacy's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I would really like to see if it is possible to add the Warehouse / Factory Map Office Doors that open when you click on them allowing you to walk into the Office space. Also the doors from the Praetorian Underground Maps that function similarly. This has always forced us to use TP beacons and waypoints to move from section to section of a base and would add to realism. -
Just checked my bases on Reunion and Everlasting and everything works as far as I can tell, ( I use the Tech White Holes for mine ). Just to rule it out, you didn't change alignment recently did you? Hero or Villain Zone TP will only work if you are the correct alignment for the Zone. If not try moving the TP Beacons closer to the TP Device and see if anything changes.

The glowies make sound when you are near them, so you can locate them, but back in the day, with stereo speakers or head phones you could tell exactly which direction they were in, as the sound would pan between the 2 channels allowing you to follow the sound, this is no longer available unless you are on a Windows XP machine. Could be that ASUS, independently of Microsoft, is enabling the effect, which is good for you, I have a Midband Gaming tower and this no longer works on mine.

Since you are running on a laptop there are a few things that coming to mind. If you are on WIFI and can use a wired connection, hook up direct to your internet, nothing against WIFI but it is never as fast as a wired connection unless you have some very expensive gear. Make sure something has not been enabled, such as the NVidia Experience, because that can impact performance. Always make sure you are using the most up to date drivers for your Video Card. Run Netgraph. It will give you good idea if it is connection related. Yellow and Red are pretty, but evil in this case. Allows the user to turn on and off a network monitor, or graph. This graph will overlay on top of any other windows, and will always be in the lower right hand corner. /netgraph by itself will return the current net_graph setting. /netgraph 0 will hide the netgraph. /netgraph 1 will display the netgraph /netgraph #, where # > 1, will display a much taller version of the netgraph. On the netgraph: Green bars represent received packets, with the height of the bar representing server ping time in milliseconds Yellow bars represent retransmitted packets. Red bars represent dropped packets.

On 4/30/2021 at 5:21 PM, Number Six said: The only "solution" is to downgrade to windows XP, which isn't much of a solution at all. Microsoft removed DirectSound's 3D audio support in Windows Vista, both the hardware support and the software emulation. Microsoft stopped support for the 3D Sound that the game used after Windows XP, when 3D Sound stopped working was when I began having trouble locating Glowies, and that was quite a while before shutdown. I actually had a 2G Video Card, an Aegia PhysX Co-Processor and a Yamaha 3D Sound Card and had no clue upgrading to Windows 7 was going to kill the Sound, oops. ( That was late 2009, early 2010 ), they had already ended support with Vista.
-
This is probably the culprit for the Glowie Audio issues, which happened way back on Live. All newer 3D sound options seem to be incompatible with COH.

Ongoing support for Tequila is limited but the Homecoming Launcher is fully supported. It may be easier in the long run to download and install it. It is able to update easier with little effort, provides easy access to the Beta Server, Server Status and News is displayed in the interface You can keep the Tequila Install for use with other servers if it is supported.

If looking for costume options and all your slots are in use, don't forget you can use Super Group Mode to give you additional looks by adjusting the Colors used in the SG Settings Tab. The settings are adjustable independently for each costume slot, and to use the look just enter Super Group Mode.
