  2. I would lean toward " Hairy Buffalo ", " Bathtub Gin " or " MoonShine " as being Freakshow Staples.
  3. I saw a Toon on Reunion the other day whose supergroup was something like "Knockback Kings". I will keep an eye out and try to get more info.
  4. Just cast my ballot...
  5. Is it possible that this was done when they did the Purge of Copyright Infringing Characters? I knew they removed Names but was not sure how far they went with this. It was a necessary but unfortunate Olive Branch from Homecoming to satisfy concerns NCSoft may have had regarding Liability.
  6. I Just passed 40 Million given out between Marine and Bubba, back to running Lady winter a few times on each to Earn more Cash ( still working on Bubba's Incarnates ). That mission is one I'm going to miss after the winter event. Only had a few declines and lots of Surprised Players, really enjoying this and thanks for the Help.
  7. I would like to retart a Holiday Tradition that I had on Live ( Virtue Server ). We are now at the start of the 12 days of Christmas, December 13th-25th. Each day, I will go to Atlas Park, find a few Players under level 10 with no Super group Affiliation, and give them 1 Million Influence. These are Players that have either just started playing or just haven't found a home yet for their latest Toon. I am on Reunion ( Marine X ) and Everlasting ( Bubba Burns ) and would like to see if there are Folks, on the other Shards or on Reunion, who will help me spread some of that Legendary CoH Community Cheer around. Seasons Greetings from @Marine X.
  8. Yes, and this led to a lot of Teams being formed so Players could clear the missions and a lot of Team wipes that really weren't entirely the Teams fault. They were about the Most Difficult thing, in relation to level you had to Face them, that CoH ever offered. ( Except maybe Rularu Overseers ). I learned a lot about Tanking and Survival Mode on those Teams, and even though it was unpleasant at times, I wouldn't trade it for anything. Vahzilok were the toughest Villains I had ever faced and it was very exciting when we finally finished those missions.
  9. Run a speedtest during the day when things are working, then run one when it's having issues. It could be a load issue with your ISP, when the kids get out of School and everyone gets off work is when the traffic hits it's peak. It may not show for services like streaming, which are buffered, but can kneecap CoH which has to run in realtime and with very low Latency. If you are not getting the bandwidth at Peak Times you are paying for that may be the culprit. PS ( Don't run a speedtest supplied by your ISP, as it will only test the speed they are providing not the full link, try finding one that runs out of another part of the country, Remember Homecoming Servers are actually in Canada, and Reunion Shard is in Germany )
  10. Nice, what did it set you back for the whole collection?
  11. Yeah, those were where I developed my Undying Love of Vahzilok. They were the gift that just kept on giving. Had no resistance to them is an understatement, they were rough and even Inspirations didn't help. Then they started Vomiting on me, nice. Was glad to get them in the rear view mirror.
  12. My main was and is a Mutant Tank. Vahzilok Wasting Disease Auto: Self -Regeneration, -Recovery, -Hit Points, -Endurance You have been infected with the Vahzilok Wasting Disease. This disease, introduced by the Vahzilok, is slowly wasting you away. Find a cure, quick! Your maximum hit points, endurance, regeneration, and recovery have all been reduced. Vahzilok Wasting Disease, before they Nerfed the Story Arc, was the one thing that almost made me quit playing. You had -Everything and Yes, I died a lot. If they hadn't had to give you 2 back to back Hunt a bunch ( I think 30 ) Missions after you were infected it might not have been so bad. ( The Swarm of Flies around me was embarrassing too ). They eventually removed the hunts and you were cured in the next mission, but that was the worst experience I ever had solely because of content and story.
  13. Being able to Fly or Super Jump were both things that had, to my Knowledge, never been done as they were here. I had a few Toons with Fly and still do, when it fits the rest of the character. Otherwise I go SJ. I almost always carry a few hours of Jetpack Time on every Toon, it is almost necessary to be an efficient Badge Hunter. Getting " Busy, Busy Bee " without some sort of Flight would be extremely difficult and deadly.
  14. One recent change I noticed that I didn't recall from live was the changes made to the trees in some locations. Some went to Fall Foliage after the Halloween Event and then when the Winter event launched some became Christmas Trees. This may have been a late Live Change as I hardly ever came to Atlas or any of the lower zones close to the end. Looks great. But other than that, It is still all a Nemesis Plot.
  15. Played from Issue 0 till sunset and really only found a few things in the early game rough. 1) Defeat Debt at Level 5: Ouch it turned leveling up into a Painful Grind, but did allow for you to get started on the Debt Badges. 2) Perez Park verses the Hollows: Loved the Missions in the Hollows and still do them on Most of my toons, but before that there was just Perez, guaranteed granter of Debt. 3) Difficulty Settings: It is very plain when you adjust your difficulty now, back then it was not really Defined Clearly what the changes would be till you entered your next mission, often to immediately get an Invitation for some Hospital Time. ( my brother set his perception to Invincible because it sounded cool, wow, everything is purple ) 4) Travel without powers. You could only go to zones your Security Level allowed you to enter, including by train, and doesn't it figure that the mission in Steel/Skyway is right by the Green Line station at the other end of the Zone that you can't use. If you run fast enough and stay in the middle of the road those Purples will never see you, right.
  16. It may be more plausible to add the street names to Vidiots Maps than have to actually install sign posts everywhere or have more things flashing in the middle of the screen. Hovering the pointer over the mini-map could display the name. Is this a Possibility? On elections, I think that the Candidates should by NPC, Created to show a Range of Possibilities, elected in the Forums, playable by the Homecoming Devs for special events, and Accessible in game at the City Hall for some kind of special mission assignment.
  17. What type of Internet Connection is Virgin using, is it a DSL or Cable Broadband? DSL will usually work well if the bandwidth is high enough but on Cable you can predict when you are going to have issues by when everyone gets out of work and school and comes home and jumps on the Internet. It's actually funny but Cable Companies typically use and Old Token ring Topology for their network. This creates problems. You pay for X amount of Bandwidth, so they set the Max on Your Modem to allow you up to and sometimes slightly more than your plan. However you are on a ring, say your neighborhood, that has this much bandwidth for everyone there. When no one is home life is good, but when you get a bunch of users on, the available Bandwidth to exit the ring to the Internet begins shrinking. Try running a speed test during the day, then run one when you are having issues and compare them to the Bandwidth you are paying for, and you may just need more than you have. CoH has no capacity to mitigate latency or missing packets like a Streaming buffer or Browser can, so you may never notice it there. but in CoH things have to happen in real time or you get Freezes and Map Serves. Good Luck.
  18. I would have to make a Ben Stein knock-off for this, too bad you couldn't actually hear it, that would be hillarious, droning on endlessly....
  19. Then on top of all the other issues with the old TF remember that the Rail Services were split at the time they were written, there was green line that went to some zones and yellow line that went to others. Station Stop Old Yellow Line Old Green Line Atlas Park X Kings Row X Steel Canyon South X Steel Canyon North X Skyway City North X Skyway City South X Talos Island X Independence Port X Croatoa X Brickstown X Founders' Falls X Had to always go from Indy Port to Steel or Skyway, go to the opposite end of the zone to other Station in order to get to Talos, arghh! ( I believe the Smuggler's Ship was added with Striga Island in Issue 3 )
  20. True, run into this trying to diagnose issues with VOIP Phones and SIP Trunking, I can usually track down which hop is causing the issue, but getting it fixed is really difficult. Your connection may be from Frontier, but it may "hop" through several other carriers equipment and services on it's way to the endpoint. If you have a Dynamic IP Account sometimes ( not very often though ) cycling the Modem will cause it to pull a fresh address, and perhaps find an alternate route when you try to connect. Probably running through " Bob's Internet Service and VCR Repair " on its way to Homecoming. Uhhh..
  21. I have been stranded on the Bunny Slope since they added the Ski Chalet, and I was a Ski Instructor at a local Ski Resort when I was in School. Embarrassing.
  22. Just thought I would toss this in here for those having Map Server or connection issues. It is a free open sourced Network Analyzer available for download at the following link. https://www.wireshark.org/ Have found it very useful both at work and at home for tracking down issues. The site has lots of info on how to set up a scan, just takes a little reading.
  23. Something I've used several times at work to isolate connection issues that might help is called "Wireshark", it is a free open sourced network tool and does a very good job of monitoring and isolating issues. It will take a little poking around in the "Frequently asked Questions" to get the scan set up, but it will tell you everything going on with your network. Worth a try and could point a finger at the culprit.
  24. Just to put it out there, there are sometimes issues reported with Tequilla/Homecoming being miss Identified as an issue with Windows Defender and some Anti-Virus programs because of the type of connection and Traffic it generates. It may not help but worth making sure it is allowed past each of those, a normal update to them may have changed it's status.
  25. Wondered about that too, they used to be Premium Only and weren't openly available, SCoRE must have never got to updating the emote menu, but did unlock them.
