The name of Infinite Corona (Excelsior) was reset
Marine X replied to czis's topic in General Discussion
Corona = The outermost event surface of a star = An imported Beer that apparently requires a lime to be palatable = An Alias used by the Eternal Thena (Marvel ), soon to be played by Angelina Jolie Voight = City of Corona, CA = The Projecting part of a Classic Cornice, ( Architecture ) = Something suggesting a Crown = An appendage or series of appendages on the inner side of the Corolla of some Flowers = A long Cigar with the sides straight to the end to be lit and roundly blunt at the other end = Garland worn on the Head as a mark of Honor or emblem of Majesty = An Automobile manufactured by Toyota Corporation from 1957 - 2001 I don't think any of these are going away any time soon, nor should they. A character named CoVID whatever should be Renamed, and should never have been named, but banning the word "Corona" itself is questionable.- 60 replies

Probably one option would be to utilize Boomtown and the diagonal area between Indy Port and Croatoa for the airport ( Basically expand Boomtown to include the new Airport with the Terminal at it's existing South East Side). It would be adjacent to an available Rail Line with Air Traffic landing from the Southwest just above the Rikti War Zone and ending up facing toward the coast North of Boomtown. The existing rail would utilize a tunnel beneath the airport to get to Croatoa. That would be a neat place for some new Unsavory group to loiter around in and plot mischief.

I got a little taste of Old School the other day. As much as I have almost every useful Accolade on Marine that's available hero side, I don't have Task Force Commander. Being on Reunion, Playing at odd hours, often right before work, I just don't get a lot of time where I can do Task Forces. In my Genius I decided to get up at 3;00am and run Citadel Solo. I guess I really didn't remember it being so REPETITIVE. This inspired my Magazine Spoof in Arts and Multimedia, all the Council Bases seemed to lack style and variety. Got thru the endless missions and was in the last one and got to Vandal. He's an Arch-Villain, and I'm exem to 30 ( from 50 + 65 Vet Levels and pretty well IOed ). Watching Paint dry would have been thrilling compared to this fight. Almost 30 minutes later he finally goes down. This reminded me of when I first started playing and found out how Tough but Damage Output Challenged Tanks were, but it was also very satisfying. I know someone will chime in about how they could have done this in 10 minutes for the whole Taskforce with one arm tied behind their back, good for you, I was taught to clean my plate. I like to do the missions, not stealth to the objectives, or Cheat to make it go Faster. I could Sacrifice some of my Tank's toughness for damage output, or just create another Brute, but that's really not the roll I like to play. This is supposed to be FUN, Recreation, something to enjoy, not doing 55 in a 35 zone on the way to work and believing that makes you Superior. I still have Posi 2, Synapse and Penny to do, and if I can't find a team, I'll try soloing again, but bring more Inspirations, lol. I avoid DFB and DIB and stick to missions from contacts as much as I can, It couldn't possibly be as boring as running DFB 4 times in a row on every toon you make, and there are lot's of great content options at the lower levels. Time to watch the paint dry.

The only windows feature that I know Tequila requires is .Net Framework.... I believe what you need to do is download the latest Visual C runtimes from Microsoft.

Always Kind of considered Marine to be Me more than my other Toons, so being a relatively Big Guy ( 6'4" 240 lbs ), I made Marine about 6'4", but he would probably be 350 lbs in the real world. Can't think of anyone that would have the right size and look, maybe Randy Couture, but with my sense of humor, if it was animated, Kelsey Grammer would be perfect delivering the kind of comments I can't help but make.

So, who here watches the MCU?
Marine X replied to CursedSorcerer's topic in Comic, Hero & Villain Culture
I was a prime candidate for Star Wars, I was 13 in 1977 when it came out and actually couldn't get it out of my head for days after I saw it. I grew up in Rural Ohio did not have Cable TV and mostly read a lot. Not just Comics ( which I did ), but a lot of SciFi and Science fact. Had a photo lab in the basement. My brothers and I shot several " Stop Motion " 8mm Films ( our family had 1 girl and 5 boys ) and would dream up ways to create practical special effects. Always had a soft spot for the comics though. Favorite Hero; Tie: Iron Man / Captain America ( kinda 2 sides of the Hero Coin, You always knew there would be an Oil / Water point ) Least Favorite: Hulk ( They just waited too late to give him a voice, when they did, it was cool, but in the comics he ALWAYS talked, just very basically ) Favorite Villain: Loki ( Just can't picture him being any more entertaining, although, very unlike the comic version. Tom Hiddleston is Amazing ) Least Favorite: Mandarin ( Sir Ben K did an excellent Job with the role he was given, but it was a waste of one of Iron Man's most Iconic Adversaries to use him that way ) Favorite Movie: Avengers Endgame ( Was the first time ever that so many movies were tied together, and a well pulled off Finale to ten years of movies ) Least Favorite: Tie: Hulk / The Incredible Hulk ( Can't believe I'm the only one to go here, the first one was Marvel Reworking while on Acid, Recast, Reboot, Recast, Reboot ) -
I have actually been pretty pleased with Star Trek: Picard. It was always in the discussions that Patrick Stewart would not be interested unless it was something new, and they always try for " something new " and seldom succeed. I believe they have succeeded. Every institution goes through growing pains and evolution, even the Federation. This show is more topical of what is going on in the world than anything since DS9. I think have done more to establish a tone and focus, in 9 episodes, than any other Trek show ever has. coming out of the gate. I do understand it is not perfect, but compared with the Kelvin Timeline, it is at least not just packaging up a bunch of action movie sequences and slapping a " Trek " on it. I like that it is in the original timeline, takes on the new events from the Kelvin Divergence, and opens the door for a whole new future of stories. I think they have a good cast, although sorry to see so many characters killed off, but it is just the first season, I'll see where they go from here. Haven't started catching up on Discovery, just got the CBS All Access account recently. I bought season one on DVD, and thought it took a while to get going, but was improving as it progressed. I'll probably start Season 2 this weekend.

After you uninstall after this kind of Issues it is extremely important that you clear the Registry and delete your CoH/Tequilla/Homecoming folders before the new install or you just bring the Issues right back. If you don't know how to edit the Registry, go to the Windows Start and in the " search programs and files ", type in the field " regedit ", carefully search thru the software sub-headings under each Main heading and any reference to Tequilla, CoH or Homecoming must be deleted. Then reinstall Tequilla and allow it to update itself to a folder on your main disk drive. After it updates you should be good to go. There is also a thread on the forums on setting up access to the Test Servers if you need more details.
-
Keep in mind it also always a good practice to make sure you close Tequilla whenever you end a Play Session. That way it has the chance to check the Manifest when you start it and update itself, it doesn't close automatically when you exit game, it will remain open in the tray.
-
Is this a recent occurrence or new install? If you installed the program ( Tequilla ) in Program Files it may cause Windows Firewall to block it. It should be installed on your hard drive into it's own folder ( I name it COH ) and all Homecoming files should be put there. It could also be your Anti-Virus. Since the Program is telling you it was "denied" there is probably a Firewall/Anti-Virus issue.

MSVCP140 - Now graphics warning? (Crash to Desktop on startup)
Marine X replied to Bartucian's topic in Help & Support
Had the same issue on my wife's Windows 10 machine with a discreet Radeon 2mb Video Card ( older ). I was able to run fine using the 32 bit Client, but got the DLL missing error when running 64 bit. Did the full uninstall, cleared the registry, then reinstalled Tequilla in a fresh COH folder on the Main Drive. Updated Microsoft Visual Runtime C++ and restarted PC and launched 64 bit Tequilla, everything is working fine as of now. Only issue was the new install ramped the Video Settings to Ultra Mode which I had to dial back a little to get rid of some Jitter, but working now. -
I believe you can maintain more than 17 targets aggro but it requires work and slotting. If you have multiple powers that take taunt enhancements they each may taunt differently. A PBAoE hits the ones in a Radius around you, A Targeted AoE is just that, pick a target outside the radius. Then use Taunt for another group outside the radius by targeting them. The limitation is I think defined separately for each power, or at least that's how I've always done it, but I'm just a dumb old Tank Guy, not one of those speedy new fangled technique guys.

I always take it, I just don't want to Accidentally turn it on, There's nothing quite as game crushing as suddenly crashing because you bumped and turned something on, just like hitting walk in the middle of an AV fight. Hidden way far away from the other clickies.

What would be your Incarnate Trial team? (Before +shifts)

Forgot about that, thanks. -
What would be your Incarnate Trial team? (Before +shifts)
Marine X replied to Makobolite's topic in General Discussion
Actually you no longer have to do Mender Ramiel's Arc to begin opening the Incarnate Slots and earning Shards/Threads, it commences automatically once you level to 50. Just did it the other day on a Brute I have on Reunion. But I do need to get an Ouro-Portal one of these days. -
Unstoppable and Walk get hidden far away from the other "click" powers in the most remote tray I can find, sorta Break Glass in case of Emergency only.....lol

I know it may be too late now, but one thing about Taskforces that you can do when you hit a bug. is have everyone Log Out. Logging out will not disband the TF, so when you log back in, you will still be in your Taskforce, but it may clear the bug.

Verify that you have the access properly set up, they made some changes to the access method and sync. Read below and Good Luck.

Decided to Create a copy of a Toon I had on Reunion but moved to Everlasting to Join a SG a teammate started. So I created the copy back on Reunion, then proceeded with him in tow to AE. Ran the ComiCon S/L Mission by Brigg, great job by the way Brigg, saw a lot of familiar faces faithfully recreated there. After I ran it once at +4 x 8 It was pretty obvious that Marine could handle it with me AFK, so from the 2nd pass on, I would gather up a couple mobs, then get them fairly close to another mob, and put Footstomp on auto. Bye now. Off to do Laundry, dishes, made Breakfast, cleaned up afterwards, then swung by to check on the progress. There he is, alone on an empty sidewalk, cool. Loaded him up again, off to do more household chores. Stopped by and there he was, Fighting Abraxas, Redlynne and Shipwreck. Checked back a few minutes later, all done, move him and set him up again. Come back just before going out for lunch. He's fighting Tank You, Redlynne and Abraxas. Finish them off and reset and we leave for Lunch, when we come back, huh, here he is fighting Pax American, Shipwreck and Redlynne. I began actually watching the Progress and found that if you combined 2 or more crowds together, there were about 6 of the 25 Purple Conned Enemies per Mob that almost always lasted beyond the rest and fought to the bitter end. The same ones, over and over. I also noticed the Toons would be defeated often, in groups, with the same first letter, Like a whole bunch starting with A, then B, then C. It was weird. So anyway, got my clone to 50 over the weekend. Abraxas, Redlynne, Shipwreck, Tank You, Pax American.........Did I somehow offend you guys, because your Clones really do not like me, at all, They defied the alphabet bug to try and kick my butt, they actively survived beyond their Mob Mates to WHOOP on me, repeatedly. It was funny though......
