  1. Decided to Create a copy of a Toon I had on Reunion but moved to Everlasting to Join a SG a teammate started. So I created the copy back on Reunion, then proceeded with him in tow to AE. Ran the ComiCon S/L Mission by Brigg, great job by the way Brigg, saw a lot of familiar faces faithfully recreated there. After I ran it once at +4 x 8 It was pretty obvious that Marine could handle it with me AFK, so from the 2nd pass on, I would gather up a couple mobs, then get them fairly close to another mob, and put Footstomp on auto. Bye now. Off to do Laundry, dishes, made Breakfast, cleaned up afterwards, then swung by to check on the progress. There he is, alone on an empty sidewalk, cool. Loaded him up again, off to do more household chores. Stopped by and there he was, Fighting Abraxas, Redlynne and Shipwreck. Checked back a few minutes later, all done, move him and set him up again. Come back just before going out for lunch. He's fighting Tank You, Redlynne and Abraxas. Finish them off and reset and we leave for Lunch, when we come back, huh, here he is fighting Pax American, Shipwreck and Redlynne. I began actually watching the Progress and found that if you combined 2 or more crowds together, there were about 6 of the 25 Purple Conned Enemies per Mob that almost always lasted beyond the rest and fought to the bitter end. The same ones, over and over. I also noticed the Toons would be defeated often, in groups, with the same first letter, Like a whole bunch starting with A, then B, then C. It was weird. So anyway, got my clone to 50 over the weekend. Abraxas, Redlynne, Shipwreck, Tank You, Pax American.........Did I somehow offend you guys, because your Clones really do not like me, at all, They defied the alphabet bug to try and kick my butt, they actively survived beyond their Mob Mates to WHOOP on me, repeatedly. It was funny though......
  2. 1) Ernesto Hess Taskforce, the map with the levels of Scaffolding around the giant robot. 2) Dr Kane's House of Horror, the whole map including the Cemetery are really cool. 3) Mott Interior AKA What it looks like when you've been munched on by an Ancient Evil Hate Monster ( Get in my Belly! )
  3. Grimmwolf, Bio Armor / Savage Melee Tanker ( His bio references a Family Genetic Anomaly, which causes Men of the Graham Family to resemble and fight with the Ferocity of Werewolves ) . He plays and feels more like playing a Scrapper but with really good Resist/Defense. Probably the fastest Toon to 30 I've ever had, doing just regular mission content. Someone told me that this combo doesn't fair so well in the 40s and 50s. Guess I'll find out soon enough.
  4. After Years trying to find something to fill the Hole left behind by the CoX sunset, Titan Network launched Titan Icon. If you have never seen it, It was basically a single player Paragon city with no powers, no badges, no people, that you could spawn and place Characters in. It was great to see the City but also very sad. Paragon Chat was much better with it's XMPP Server setup and multiple players and complete world badge hunting, finally something to DO, ( Thanks Codewalker ). And now here we are. Homecoming is the answer to the prayers of an entire community. As a result of the hard work of the Homecoming Team we have our City back, we have a 64 Bit Client, we have a new Archetype, we have new content, we have new power choices, all from a Volunteer Team who found a way to make this all not only possible but viable. I appreciate everything they have done and will do in the future. Thanks folks, If you ever need something, just ask. Salute.
  5. There has been a lot of ground covered here, some of which was not part of the OPs subject matter We owe the Homecoming Team for the fact that we have CoH back to play at all. This could still change, at any time. "HC Devs are Gods, don't anger the Gods". They have often said how much they appreciate reading the suggestions, how much they appreciate test server reports and have a good rapport with the community. "Most are uninformed, few are educated, but only a handful are angry chimps" Wow, really?, if you somehow know everyone's IQ, and level of education, I would think you'd be able to realize how Elitist and Arrogant that statement sounds. Remember the old saying: " You attract more Flies with Honey than Vinegar ". I hope that the community can be patient enough to see what the future holds I'm sure that there will be surprises, I hope there will be surprises. We don't need to know everything going on to play the game, if they put it on the test server evaluate it and let them go from there. If you want to put out a Topic on the boards with your wishlist, have at it, if they realize a lot of people want something it's probably more likely to get attention. I would like to believe they will satisfy the things they can and at least look at the rest. Just try to keep the Hostility out of it, it IS counter productive.
  6. Isn't that a lot like wearing a Ski Mask to pick up a Gallon of Milk at the 7-11?
  7. I have a Peacebringer " Crimson Cage ", and think they are fine they way they are. His Bio Reads: " Krym'Sun, was one of the last Kheldians born before the destruction of the Kheldian Homeworld. Severely injured during his escape, his energy matrix was disrupted, preventing him from joining with a Human, at least for now. To save his life, a group of Scientists created " The K.A.G.E. ", "Kheldian Artificial Genetic Enclosure", essentially a Mechanical Body that Mimics a Human Body. Once inside Krym'Sun renamed himself "Crimson Cage". Without a Human Side, and only the Body's A.I. to interact with, he is often very confused and awkward in his relationships with other heros, but has pledged to Protect his new Home, Earth." But to Topic: My only actual complaint would be the inclusion of Quantum Enemies in missions you can't really defend yourself in. I did the Mission:The Lords of Death - Part Three: Deep Cover from Paula Dempsey Well, you are disguised as a Skull Gang Member, with 3 Melee powers and 2 Shotgun powers and no access to your Kheldian Powers. In the middle of the fight with the Skull in the ring, suddenly a Quantum is taking pot shots at me, must not be a very good disguise. Plus I have no powers that I can really respond with, and no Run, no Fly, no....Oh I'm Dead, nice, and he's standing on my head. Heading to the hospital successfully completes the mission, fine, but what was the point of that? Just seemed pointless and I like that mission, just had never done it as a Kheldian.
  8. Dr Popalottadisk Chiropractor Assault Set - from what I've heard from others it feels like you're being assaulted when they aren't meaning to. ( a little misalignment goes a long way ). Chef Cher Nobel Gastro-intestinal Assault Set - everything from Ghost Peppers to Horseradish, Goulash to 5 Alarm Chili, just please sign the waver first. ( plop, plop, fizz, fizz, is not going to make this go away ). Mr. Hung Hing Cheong Auditory Assault Set - From Liberace to Korean children's Songs, From Fingernails on a Chalkboard to a Dentist Drilling Teeth, cringe worthy. ( Ear Plugs won't hold these babies back )
  9. Wow, a ton of change to the UI since then. Even City Hall and entering and exiting buildings and stores was different. Great Find.
  10. Statesman return, a conditional maybe, as in if they found a way to do it, that it was Statesman, but not necessarily Marcus Cole. Doesn't it seem very strange that he has been married multiple times to Superpowered Women and only Produced Daughters. What if he or one of those daughters had a son, a genuine heir that the Well would accept. This heir may even be someone likable and different from Marcus Cole, with Totally different Powers and yes, perhaps even a different costume and name..... ALTERED STATESMAN I know, I just couldn't help myself. If they come up with a great story to bring Statesman back, have at it, if it's just going to be a rehash, why?
  11. Once more on the ledger, keep it going folks.
  12. F.Y.I., Even though the mission briefing says they must be disarmed at the same time, they do not. Ran the mission today solo, and had no issues with disarming them one at a time.
  13. Does anyone know if this still requires the bombs to be disarmed simultaneously or was this also changed for SCoRE. Trying a few new mission paths and haven't done the " Disarm bombs to prevent Fire" one that is her first Mission. It still says so in the Mission introduction.
  14. I think we can all agree what is in poor taste or was intended to be as such is pretty easy to spot. Bad Taste doesn't always mean that it violates the Terms. I see a lot of marginal choices but think that only the most egregious examples that are outside the Terms are ever going to be acted upon by anyone. I think we need to have a little thicker skin on both sides of this while remembering that the game is Rated "Teen" and that people who played as children may now be bringing their children on with them to see their City. 70s Pimp with Women in Bikinis - Fine Dominatrix with Men in Leather - Fine Michael Jackson with a bunch of kids - Not Fine Werewolf with More Werewolves - Fine Cat Girl herding Cat Girls - Fine KKK Leader with Clansmen - Not Fine I don't think it's all that difficult to know when you are crossing the line, so just be an Adult and Police yourself, save someone else from having to do it for you.
  15. Can we just implement this Globally? I was born in Early 1964..... and think It would be good if I could go on without knowing that.....
  16. All of my Brutes on Live were Redside and I think I might have gotten the highest one to about 35, Hemlock ( Dark/Dark ). On Homecoming playing a Brute Blueside I finally have a 50, Bubba Burns, Radiation Melee / Fiery Aura and really enjoy playing him. He's not a Farm Build so I can pretty much do anything with him and be productive. Have done very little except a few GMs , Zombie Apocalypse and MSRs where I used him to Tank for a group, I end up Soloing most of the time due to when I play. Getting him badged out and his Incarnates are getting there with Alpha T4 and the next 2 T3, rest are T2. Really think he is good the way he is but without having been here before I have limited experience. Changed one of my Brutes from Live to Tank while still on live ( AC Volt, Elect/Elect ) but have a couple concepts in Mind for a few. I have a sneaking suspicion that Hemlock's name is LONG GONE. lol.
  17. One of the very first missions in Atlas Park I always get sent on sends you to the same Townhouse every time that is a warehouse map once inside. It is an old mission from Antonio Nash that was reassigned after shutdown to Prince Kiros Nandelu I believe, because even though Nash is still in the same spot he doesn't give out missions on Homecoming, but the Prince standing behind him does. I don't remember the mis-match between the door and the map from Live, and I did those arcs on almost every toon. Always a Mutant. ( Mutant Marine Corps SG on Virtue ).
  18. Just started this so we have a place separate from the Star Trek and Stargate Topics to discuss BSG. Did People hear there is a kind of " Non Reboot " Reboot coming. It will I guess be a series set in the BSG Universe but with new characters and stories. Battlestar Galactica on NBC
  19. Could be something to do with the recent Mastermind Pet Customization, since she behaves as an Ally/Pet in that arc, oh the Spaghetti Code rears it ugly head again, lol.
  20. To now redirect the conversation back to Stargate: One moment please, there we go.... Loved the Original Movie, when they announced that Showtime was producing a series I was a little teed off that I wouldn't be able to watch it without signing up, so I waited. When it came to the SciFi Channel I was addicted, not binging surrounded by jars of Urine, but close. The Mythology was very deep for a TV Show at that time. The Goa'uld rework as a race of parasites worked with the original movie and opened up the doors to all sorts of possibilities. The longer the show ran, the more I was impressed with where they went with it. It was only when RDA started to back away from front line involvement that it started to wain a bit. The last 2 seasons were pointed in new direction and were good, maybe not as good as the peak years but good. The 2 Movies I thought were well done and the first one wrapped up the series well. while the 2nd was just plain fun. Altlantis was cool from the start. New villains, new allies and whole slew of Ancient Tech and fresh Mythology. Dr McKay was just a wealth of neurotic moments. The show was, I thought, cut down in it's prime and deserved a proper ending. A final season would have let them do a proper ending instead of the rushed finale and gratuitous Group Happy Shot, roll credits. Universe also was just getting itself in form when the ended it. I thought it had potential to be a great show but they kept not progressing the interpersonal relationships, Col. Young and Dr Rush, until the final episode, felt it more important to be spiteful and undermining of each other even at the cost of their own interests and the crew than to work together. But there were lots of great episodes. If they had stopped at the one where they spawned an entire Civilization 1000s of years in the past, that would have been a much better final episode than being stuck as Crew-cicles forever. Who knows. Have not got to see Origins, but have read some comments and feel I would just have to watch it before deciding.
  21. Most of the 1970s stuff before the glut tend, especially the important issues, to be priced very well. Some of the later stuff is disposable. Not much use in keeping them now anyway. Some stuff like first appearances of meaningless characters at the time, that became popular later, like Deadpool in the New Mutants, are still quite highly priced. Wish I had a copy of Hulk #181 ( Nov 1974 ), first appearance of Wolverine, top condition is listed at over $10,000. Damn it.
  22. Grew up in Rural North Central Ohio, 3 VHf TV channels and 2 UHF. Not much to watch there but Doctor Who on PBS and old Trek. I collected comics and read a lot of science fiction. My Dad was born in 1918 but thought computers were where everything was going so in the 1970s bought us ( 6 kids ) 2 Atari Computers and a game console. We learned Machine Language and Basic. Wrote our own programs and had a photo lab in basement with black / white and color developing. You would regret walking barefoot into my brothers bedroom because you would end up with resistors and capacitors stuck in your feet from the shag carpet. He also made us all learn a musical instrument. So in High School at 6'4" 248 lbs ( with abs ) I played Baseball and in Band, the football coach could not get why I wasn't on the team. I then joined a Rock band called Sage at 17 ( everyone else in the band was 30+ ), we did Kansas, Boston, Styx, Journey and the like for Proms, Homecomings and Weddings. no bar gigs, just the good jobs. Ended up in several bands after graduation and in college, finally ending up in Tone-X, a progressive original power pop band, We did some pretty cool gigs, opened for later versions of the Romantics, Blue Oyster Cult, Billy Idol and Night Ranger. Retired from playing around 2000 ( torn rotator cuff and our Guitarist moved to North Carolina ) . Have always had a good day job, but was getting bored without music to occupy my time when I saw " City of Heroes " on the new game shelf at Walmart. The rest they say is history. Does all this make me a geek? yeah, probably.
  23. Thought that the episode of TNG where Q showed Picard what his life would have been like if he played it safe very telling. He hated being a little trained Minion working in the Background. That removes all the romance from how great that life in the Federation would be for the average person, It made an impactful statement, but made me think how sad it made everyone but the main cast look, and I never forgot that.
  24. Actually have about a 1/2 dozen tubs of 1970s-1990s Marvel, X-Men, New Mutants, X-Caliber, X-Factor, SubMariner, Machine Man, Wolverine, She Hulk etc. Going to catalog them for sale soon as a pre-retirement supplement. Even have a rough1940s Captain America that I found in a junk box at a Flea Market when I was in High School. Sold my 1970s-1980s Avengers and Fantastic Four 30 years ago for about $4000 so I figure the stuff I still have should price out well. Haven't even looked at them for years, just taking up space, just like all my music gear, lol.
  25. The Scene that Apparition linked to is from when they found Kobol, and then, during season 3, most of the civilians along with President Baltar started a Colony, then the Cylons arrived and began oppressing them. The Galactica came to the rescue and The Pegasus was destroyed covering their escape. There was an entire 22 Episode season after the scene he said he thought was from the finale, but it is a great scene, and one of the coolest sounds to ever come out of my surround sound. Play it with your headphones on or speakers on 10, cool.
