  1. The most cost efficient improvement would be buying the Might of the Tanker proc. Place it in one of your auras and you will have a nice +res boost to all elements when surrounded by a few mobs. Shield Wall is a cheaper investment than purples at the moment, since each purple recipe is going for 15M+ on most servers. What I do is I bid on Gladiator's Net or other less wanted PvP sets for ~4M a piece and then user converters to get whatever I want (including Panacea and Gladiator's Armor uniques). It's also an easy form of making influence.

  3. Ice/TA will be a 100% ranged toon. For that reason, prioritizing some ranged defense would be a smart move. If you team a lot, you don't need to go for soft cap because there's always someone else with either Maneuvers or some other team +def buff. From TA you can skip Flash Arrow and Glue Arrow (I usually pick GA as a filler, just to keep things at bay). Ice Arrow can also be skipped unless you want some extra control (it stacks nicely with your Ice holds) or use it as a set bonus mule (hello, Basilisk's Gaze). As for Ice, I'd skip Ice Bolt and Frost Breath. Ice's holds can be quite strong, especially if you put use some procs to use. So yea, build up some defense and then go for +recharge. Let me know if you need help coming up with a budget build to get you started.
  4. My only concern is if the forums would then become much less active since most topics are somehow related to build discussion. But then again, I guess one could share the build from that new platform and still discuss it in HC forums, I guess. I'm thorn, but I like your initiative!
  5. Now, that's cheating. There's always a favorite son, c'mon.
  6. There is no synergy between both sets. In other words, Mind doesn't benefit from DA, and vice-versa. Now, if you're wondering if it's an efficient combo... Then, the answer is "absolutely". It will be a purely support toon, but a pretty good one at that. Your damage will be on the low side, but you can use some procs to make it a bit more effective.
  7. I've tried to improve it a bit. Improvements: Better recharge. Hasten is now perma +3% dmg all Melee Defense boosted to 50%+ Some extra HP and Regen Slightly better resists Trade-offs: Lost some +acc bonuses. I really didn't think you needed that much +acc. Slight loss on both AoE and Ranged defenses (0,3% I believe) - which would still be over soft cap if you boost your enhancements 1% less recovery rate, but higher endurance discount. It's probably an improvement in the end (pun intended) I'd probably rethink if you need that many slots on stamina, health and PP. I didn't mess with it, because you might have some concerns that I'm not aware of. Anyway, hope this helps somehow: | Copy & Paste this data into Mids' Reborn : Hero Designer to view the build | |-------------------------------------------------------------------| |MxDz;1538;712;1424;HEX;| |78DA6594594F135114C7EF74A6D42E406BA165B50B4BE94AABBEB827889000D542D| |5071383D372C1EA041A0A111EFD0A9AE8ABBE189FFC0EBEBA7E0163F4CD8DC52DD1| |17EAE9FC0FB4A69334BF3BFF7BB67BE6DC6637C65DCF26EF9E134ADB7943AF54E6F| |3C555BD5C96ABD6ACBE542A0A7A5C6325C3085E0B8EAD170ABA8D848E7D9BF9AC34| |A44C91E39D4AE0401C978B72B92253F9F5DADB9C5C34E486AC08676E65C5484D18A| |5A59B6B0E739D2F4BB9D00AB9A69696975CE6DB8CD4CBF4E2B9502E1553632B0B9B| |F359BDB2265737BB287B927EA55A19E65315E2AD2A444613D99AA6989A2ADC8AA95| |93C604B07E8EE046FD9D85454AD4AC402DB11508B821D31B02F0E0E3E277A357191| |7C55E4B1AADBC8ADED802DBBA0FB3B78E42738FC037492AF95EBB60E08533348B39| |9D554ADB61B9AA91DD29905D051047D0BE0A004C3E46B472D8A3D8E780E668EF69C| |9CCB1982769BB4563E77EB099CABED24F3149FFB34E83B038E3E46AE59F26D472E4| |BFB1E21A289812AD3A2985C261B0FC7F724E17F38C51C0593698E9B6126D09B39F2| |F522BEF02651EF25D23A3967E7DEFFB90639B7856CFCC869F1BF43ACBE0FDCF7F7A| |04A36DDFCCDBA7F430BFE054347997F88FD9A88FA1593995FFC6DC9B797E7AA97E7| |2AC87315E4B90AF15CE5C9B69FEBED9F50CDFAA293606C0A2C934D807B1478811CD| |19760EC15F3359879C3FC085E26DF30D712E65A225C4B846B89702D3EB21DE2D918| |E2BDE1FD3A29DC08CFC608CFCB131A8C38F7281E42BEC459F42231859E2766E19FB| |CC2BC0ADA29578AE3A5A6E12B7C42A4594B73DE3EADE1DE56E91101EDE0D656634D| |BBE92625D3A41C6B528E3729334D4A4E3BF807108AA9D8DD74AFA154B71CB4AB34E| |EEED415ABF20927ECFACCFC02F67CE55BFF8DB9056E3745DBAD2BAA720FF7C0759F| |F900EC7908EA0EB36AB3AE42C3FA7AC33AD7B09EF6921B77F469B8BE9EF0D7D78F6| |A366CFF0F6462F8A8| |-------------------------------------------------------------------|
  8. Agreed. I just don't consider ATOs to be "budget" sets. But, if you can afford it, 4x shield wall is great source of res, +HP and +regen.
  9. I am yet to find a Scrapper that I loved as much as my Claws/SR or DB/Invul back on live. I've rolled a TW/Bio. It's stronk, but I hate how OP and popular it is. I'll probably never touch it again, even though it has full T4 incarnates. I have also thought of bringing the classic Claws/Regen back to life, but it's way too clicky for my taste. /Shield bores the heck out of me, /FA is kind of reserved for a F^3 Tank (and I already got the Brute, so I'm done with FA for a while). In the end, I know I will end up recreating my favorite combos. I was just thinking of what else could I find fun that would make me want to play it for long enough. How about you? Which combo keeps you on full scrapperlock mode?
  10. I think it would be easier if you shared your build (or at very least, your secondary) so we can see where we can improve things. And, just in case you didn't know, you can look for specific set bonuses on Mid's (Windows -> Set Bonus Finder). This might help you find good sources of +Res. Anyway, here are some budget sources of EN/Neg resistance: 3x Unbreakable Guard. (2,25%). 4x will add 3,13% Defense to Melee 3x Force Feedback (3%) 3x Adjusted Targeting (3%) 3x Sciricco's Dervish (2,25%) 6x Theft of Essence (4,5%). You can go with Touch of Nictus instead, but I think the +Endurance proc on ToE is too good to skip.
  11. I have managed to get very solid EN resists without messing my build. It's not built for full survivability, meaning i could improve it further. However, i wanted to have quite a few procs to help dish out some dmg. This is a screenie from a while ago. I'll check which sets i used and let you know.
  12. You can find photos of all T4 lore pets in here: https://imgur.com/a/6YLqOLB I'm not sure there is anthing resembling elves. Maybe go with Talos of Vengeance? Or Polar Lights. As for the abilities and damage type, check this doc: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1tmuk9Jf-NxhSE2P1RB6wRtn-qUDvwqpV_10B9QAAinE/edit#gid=0
  13. I vote inv/ice. Great control (ice Patch), a very nice cone (frost), a ST hold with an amazing dpa and proc potential (freezing touch) and frozen aura for some aoe. Plus, it's quite unique.
  14. Dark/Rad turned out to be one of the toughest and most satisfying tanks I've played to the date. Two auras (my build has a total of 7 procs split between the two) Two heals. Dark Regen is used offensively, with 5 procs in it. It will still fill my HP bar with 4 enemies around me. Radiation Siphon is part of my rotation and enough to keep my green bar full under most circunstances Plenty of debuffs and proc potential Capped resists to everything except Toxic (I left my Energy resists at 83%, pre-incarnates) Capped defenses to melee And the great thing is... it will only get *much* better with the upcoming changes.
  15. Just remembered you could always get +Dmg Amplifiers from P2W vendors. But I'm pretty sure you already thought of this!
  16. I've been playing an Earth/TA. Used to love it back on live and I must say that playing this combo on HC is... well, awesome. Not only it is the control monster it used to be back on live, but the procs make it a whole different beast (both control and damage wise). Oddly enough, whenever I play this toon I seem to get teamed with other TAs every time - which makes it even more fun.
  17. Here's another alternative. Suggested alpha: musculature or intuition. Destiny: ageless. 18. I'd say Singularity is the best overall pet in the game. It'll help you stack holds and keep you safe from melee attacks. Plus, it does very decent damage and it's damn tough.
  19. Hi. Unfortunately I believe it will be hard to come up with a decent build for ~50 million. But, still... Here's what I'd call a budget build, while still bringing enough bonuses to make it worth your time and investment. No purples, no LoG+7,5rech, no expensive uniques. It's still going to be over 50 mil, unless you bid for cheap and wait a week or so until you get the bargain. I'd be happy to send you some inf or some of the IOs, if you need. 20. What if you disable XP in the farming toon? (I've never tested this)
  21. Sweet. I took my Dark tank over there, aggroed 10 of them and went AFK (with dark regen on auto) for well over 1h now. It's still going. I have no incarnates, nor my build is tweaked for full survivability. But I can tell that I could be in trouble if I were hit by a few -def attacks. Gotta love Tanks.
  22. I think purple drops are still very much random. I had 2 purples in under 10 mins yesterday, while today I had none during 2h of farming. As for your XP grind, would it be better to have a proper farming toon boosting that char of yours?
  23. Out of curiosity, how long does your tank last under this scenario?
  24. We might be using different versiona of mids. But yes, it's FF+rech. Enjoy!
  25. I wonder if spines is the best option for a tank version. Would be cool to have something other than /Spines or /Rad.
