  1. Meaningfully, they provide control + damage. Not sure why you're making it more complicated than it is.
  2. You answered your own question. Controllers are control+support. Dominators are control+damage. It's as simple as that.
  3. Are you using the Homecoming launcher?
  4. Oh I wasn't suggesting the devs create a port, I was just wondering if anyone had gotten it working on a modded PS4, much like how they've gotten it working on a Steam Deck.
  5. Hasn't there long been chatter about the devs reworking procs? And no, they're not necessary to be a successful damage dealer.
  6. Anyone figure out a way to make this work? I know you can mod a PS4 to run Linux and Steam, but I'm wondering if anyone's actually gotten CoH working.
  7. They've been significantly upgraded since live, so yeah, give them a try. The stealth in Stalker Hide is very strong, much stronger than most other forms of stealth/invis. Until recently on Homecoming the Stealth power was not true invisibility. With the old version you'd definitely be seen if you got too close to critters. Not an issue with Hide, or even the current version of Stealth.
  8. I vote for Stalker. They are incredibly strong and flexible, especially at lower levels. And the built in stealth is super useful for traversing thru zones without getting ganked and speeding thru missions if you don't want to clear them.
  9. I got this email this morning, is this in any way related to Homecoming?
  10. Yeah, it depends upon a number of factors. Best suggestion is to try it both ways and see which feels better. Higher level will give you more XP per kill, but they also take longer to defeat and harder to hit, and obviously are going to do more damage. I'm also unsure if bosses have a higher drop rate. I don't believe they do, but not 100% sure. Personally if I solo I prefer lower level with more critters (+0/x8) because it feels more superheroey to me. When I crank it up to +2 or +3 it takes so much longer to clear maps that it feels like a slog.
  11. No changes to the Atlas badges, at least not until the next page releases. I did it on two alts yesterday. And you have to get all 8.
  12. Just delete the folder.
  13. Did you try disabling auto UI scaling and set it by hand?
  14. Are you using the actual HC launcher or Tequila? You shouldn't have to switch anything in the HC launcher. The available servers are all listed on the left side.
  15. I got copyright generic'd once, but I fought it and was reinstated.
  16. Try installing it to a different drive. If you don't have a different drive try running the installer as admin.
  17. Seriously, I have a lvl 50 human-only PB and she does just fine in end game content. And she's not even fully IOd yet. Nova-only seems like it would be really dull and boring to me. For starters you have to take other powers, you can't avoid that. And to use any kind of self buffs you need to drop out of Nova. I mean, give it a go, it can be fun to try things that are outside the box. But honestly I don't think this one is gonna have any legs, no pun intended.
  18. Won't people stop thinking only of themselves and start thinking about the poor tortured name hoarders!!!
  19. Unpopular opinion: not everything needs to be spoon fed to new players. It's OK for them to discover how things work on their own. It's part of the beauty of MMOs, figuring out what does and doesn't work. We were all new players once, and we all did just fine. It's part of the process.
  20. 3 accuracy + 3 damage for minions as they'll at some point be -2 to you. 2 accy + 3 damage for LT pets, and 1 accy + 3 damage for your boss pet. You'll probably also want the Leadership pool for Tactics.
  21. Yeah, I don't remember any mod that would grey out badges you got, but the fog of war on maps will show you where you've been and can often help see which remote badges you've likely obtained. Also, Vidiotmaps FTW!
  22. The problem with most of the attitudes here is assuming the devs are idiots and what they've made isn't exactly what they intended to make. Just because you want it to be something else doesn't means you're right and the devs are wrong. They made the set exactly as they want it to be. Will it be tweaked here and there in future? Of course. Will it be significantly changed? Absolutely not. But what these devs do isn't anything different than what professional ones do, and no different than what the live devs used to do. We went thru all this with the Storm Blast beta, and apparently a lot of you didn't learn a damned thing from that shitshow. Once a set reaches open beta it's not going to change in any significant way; it's only going to get tweaks.
  23. What am I missing? The set provides an AoE sleep, disorient, immobilize, and hold, along with a single target sleep and hold, all of which establish Containment.
