Probably should be a PBAoE with a 84 foot radius. Makes sense. Lol.

I lead stuff all the time when I play an MM, even take mercy on poor single players and let them come with me when I tribox MMs on a SBB. That said, when I lead, I try to be clear up front with the game plan and I try to avoid micromanaging other people as I assume everyone has an average level of competence within our community.

I'd suggest checking the Tanker Tuesday thread seeing where the gang is going in a couple days and rolling/transferring a tank over to that server to run the event and see how other tanks perform and then pick people's minds.

For a solo corruptor you want something that can mitigate enough incoming damage, while being able to heal back from any damage you receive. Then being able to out DPS your targets' Regen. I like to use things like an ice/dark, elec/kin, and beam/traps to solo with. Pretty much any powerset combo can depending on how you build it out and what tactics you use.

I log into my claws/ea brute and it spawns into Cimerora. I'm immediately blind invited by a pug in zone, I accept, to see what's up, figured it'd be an ITF. I ask what their planning and they say a kill most ITF. I roll with the group, and in the nictus caves I get a tell from the MM with the star trying to tell me how to play. By this time I've pretty much established myself as the one taking the alpha, and have had to rush back a few times to save people that broke off. I replied back "you play your game, and I'll play mine". The MM goes on in a tell to me saying that they are the leader and they are leading...blah blah blah. I tell the rest of the group sorry, and enjoy your veteran's day but the guy with the star is trying to tell me how to play, and I don't need someone on a power trip because they have a star next to their name telling me how to play. I then proceeded to solo the ITF on the same character, free of any demands of which tunnel to pick or how to run my character. Anyways folks, enjoy your day. And cheers to all my fellow vets.

Suggestions for Sentinel changes
SeraphimKensai replied to Elementfury323's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Would you rather have 16 targets or the current fast recharging nukes? -
That's what I have, using power boost and clarion radial, leadership buffs, and support. It basically gets others up to incarnate softcapped defense. The dark blast floors the mobs chance to hit, so it is likely overkill in the regard of my teammates chance to get hit.

I think it lends to more compelling storytelling to have a uniquely named boss and even more so when they have unique design features. That said a lot of a generic named boss missions use a standard template and name bank to designate a named boss in something like a radio/paper mission. Actually creating unique design features for a named boss does take some development time that could otherwise be allocated elsewhere, so it comes down to design philosophy and priority. As an aside, thanks for running this one. I had initially used the word ultimate in my last post to indicate the last of my series, but it can be reused with another definition similar to how Marvel did the Ultimate Universe to reimagine a lot of their characters, which seems fitting for a MMO about superheroes. Thanks again.

That's my understanding as well.

Also with Cold you can reference that power boost will not boost the shields as they have a resistance component. Power boost will absolutely boost the defense on FF shields though.

I'm reading and responding now. Edit: just tried searching and that works too. Looks like it's on your end

Games that provided most/least value for money
SeraphimKensai replied to pawstruck's topic in Video Games
This was the first Bethesda game I wrote any mods for. Such a great game. -
Please tell me it was someone like Patrick Roy or Marty Brodeur. I played intramural ice hockey in college (as I did the whole military thing right after highschool and was too old/slow to play for the college team, so I was the 'old guy in my upper 20's) and being an intramural league at a D1 school, we got shitty ice time as you can imagine. One night we're skating around scrimmaging and a couple guys my age show up. Turns out it was Ryan Carter and David Backes back in town for an alumni event prior to the NHL's regular season starting up. They had been drinking and heard there was a intramural game going on so they swung by to see what's up. Naturally being pros at the time they couldn't lace up and play with us, but it was still cool to even meet them.

It's definitely been fun the several times I've been able to attend. For the OP, Otherwise for Invuln there's no definitive way to build it as least in my opinion. A little build experience and a copy of mods, it's hard to mess up invuln. I like to pad up exotic res, build enough recharge for perma dull pain, stack HP to get to HP cap, and stack melee defense to work in conjunction with invincibility.

Ice armor as a brute is a pretty good defense based set.

You can +5 non-veryrare/non-pvp set IOs, but then you can't attune them. Some people boost them because they don't plan on exemplaring to a lower level then when the IOs level range. Very rare and PvP IOs should never be attuned via a catalyst because they already work down to lvl 10, so +5 boosting them is the only logical choice.

In this game my favorite is probably between Lusca and the abandoned sewer trials Hydra. Maybe Kronos is next in line. GM controlled monsters/bosses in lots of MMOs are usually a fun time. That's part of the reason I like Eden or the Abandoned Sewer Trials. I'm all for having interesting events and consequences that affect players outcomes. At least it isn't as bad as in EVE Online pressing F1. Personally for me I suggested a GM Kheldian encounter with some proposed Kheldian changes a few years ago that I always envisioned would be a cool fight. As much as I like soloing GMs for the challenge, but realize the fact that I and others can solo the majority of them means that to a team or league they aren't the most engaging. That all said I don't think every zone needs one for the sake of having one, but I like them to be story driven and connected to the lore. I do like the GM encounters in hard mode ITF and ASF as well.

Certain fire melee attacks do -defense just so you know. That said a fire def of 36.92% is pretty low for a fire farmer. As it's going to let in about 1/4 attacks even before defense debuffs are applied which then will floor your defense. At 45% you're dodging so much more it's less likely for drop you right away, however you do have to be ready to use healing flames as needed. You can buy the defense amplifier, and use barrier (if you have your end use sorted) to help offset the use of purples. Lastly don't be afraid to turn down the difficulty of your current build is having difficulty with the content, evaluate your clear time and rewards and go with what works best for you.

Welcome back for the ultimate Officially Unofficial Weekly Discussion. It's been truly a blast running these over the last year. Sadly work and being a dad have reduced my capacity to keep these running. As I previously said, if anyone wants to resurrect these feel free as they were a result of people wanting the GM led weekly discussions by @GM Miss and later @GM ColdSpark A year ago @Troo posted this thread below that initially reminded me of the GM led discussions. @Cobalt Arachne had a great point in that thread regarding "volunteer budget" which led me to making the unofficial weekly discussions. Sadly I find my volunteer budget is about spent. And so without further gilding the lily and with no more ado, I give to you the final topic in this series of discussions: the Monster Mash.... What are you thoughts on Giant Monster design? Please consider anything from the Kraken of Perez Park to Hamidon himself (including any giant monsters within missions or TFs as well). Are these encounters engaging? Does it balance risk vs reward? Are they too easy, too hard or somewhere in between? Are you soloing them or forming small teams, or even leagues for them? How's the frequency that you encounter them? If you had carte blanche to design a new giant monster for the game, what would you make? As always thanks for playing. And in response to @DougGraves's thread: All I can say is.... Thanks again folks, I'll see ya in game or probably other forum posts.

It's settled. This Christmas everyone shall make a Christmas Stalker as a new character. @Snarky likely wants dibs on dark/dark.

Leprechaun Vanity pet not giving influence boost?
SeraphimKensai replied to brian9824's topic in General Discussion
I haven't seen any of the sequels on leprechaun, despite having liked the original as a kid. Given that he put together a go-kart from hell in a barn in about 30 seconds I'm not surprised he's wielding lightsaber as he must be strong with the force. @brian9824 you're likely looking at an old wiki either paragonwiki or the fandom one, which show the game as it was when it was live. Check the homecoming wiki, which is updated based on these servers. The Leprechaun does not give an influence increase in homecoming, otherwise literally everyone would have them all the time in game.
