I would suggest an Ice Blast/Dark Miasma/Dark Mastery Corruptor for the "support" toon. I have one that has both melee and ranged defenses softcapped and has perma souldrain, and with a setup like that it's a beast in its own right. That said the tohit debuffs help our your SR brother, you have tar patches and ice to slow things down, not to mention tar patch does a significant amount of -resistance. Darkest Night even has -damage so that's huge. Your heal and rez (which can be used as a huge debuff even if ppl aren't dead) do -regen to help kill AVs. You get a team based stealth that also gives defense to alle and resistances to more exotic damage types. You also get fear/holds and a pet that does all that too. It can be made as a defender as well, but I suggest corruptor to make use of scourge with ice storm and blizzard.

The idea with /time is to essentially softcap your pets' defense. To that end you build towards the idea of Perma farsight (team defense and tohit buff). I would assume you are going Black Scorpion for power boost, which improves tohit and defense further. With maneuvers and tactics your henchmen should be close to defense softcap and have pretty good tohit. You can use the pet +defense procs to ensure you get them to the defense value you need them at. Soul extraction last 30 seconds and has a base recharge of 150 seconds. Slowed Response, Faraight, and Chronoshift also want lots of recharge. Luckily when Chronoshift of up it also gives you and your team (not your pets) recharge. So I would make recharge a priority build goal. For general play Incarnates I'd probably go musculature radial, ageless radial, support core. If you get enough recharge without ageless, you could strongly consider Clarion radial for a secondary power boost that stacks with your other power boost for when you fire off Farsight and Chronoshift. This may allow you to remove the pet +defense stuff and slot damage procs to get some better DPS.

We farm the first mission for Fake Nems because it allows you to quit and reform. Set for 8, you average about 25 fake Nems per run, so you'll often have unveiler by four runs if you start at zero. It does require you to be at least lvl 40, and have access to Steel Canyon. A pro-tip, of you are on a toon that can solo a group of Nemesis without worry, you can set the no bosses option on the notoriety settings and the Fake Nems spawn as Lieutenants so they are easier to kill and still count towards the badge. That said the whole arc is still great and worth the occasional run.

I agree with @Uun regarding defense on rad armor, I prefer to work towards res caps, get decent global recharge for the click abilities and aim for slow resistance. Rad Armor can be made very offensive by allocation of damage procs into Rad Therapy and Ground Zero. Radiation Melee is alright, it's slower than some sets, but you can debuff mobs defense and resistance (with procs), you have a decent mix of single target and AoE and you get a self heal of sorts. I have Rad armor on Scrappers paired with Street Justice and Stone Melee myself. That said I do prefer Rad Armor on Tankers and Brutes due to the higher resistance cap.

Improving the new character/new player experience
SeraphimKensai replied to Troo's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Idea: someone could make say a YouTube video guide series of the game, make a sticky post in the guides section of the forums, and maybe even have a link to it as a pop-up at level 1. Then there's no way people don't have a reasonable means to access basic game knowledge should they want it and others could just click past it like when we get a notification that such and such contact would like to meet us as we level up. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. So something like this makes sure the horse knows there's water. -
If you want force field, you can also go controller or mastermind and are able to use the ally only buffs on your own pets.
-
Check out Kinetics. Everything except speed boost and increased density effects the player and you can get massive recharge and damage buffs playing kinetics.

Lusca is a giant lovecraftian Eldritch monster with multiple hit boxes that went you disable one tentacle, she can't use that one again. Hamidon could be considered a giant monster with multiple hit boxes as well that as you disable them the fight gets easier. -
I typically default to farming it up with an alt account, but when I make the character I come up with its name/costume/general story and if I feel it merits running through various content I will run it up in a traditional style. Then again I'm also one of the weirdos that occasionally takes praetorians up to 50 by going straight to first ward/night ward instead of going primal or running general content teams out in the Shadow Shard to get people out of their usual funk of running radios in PI.

Red side can also form DFB and DIBs as well. That said I'm not opposed to red side having more Strike Forces in general, and would also support a SF in the 8-15 range. I agree Port Oakes would be perfect for it and I'd add that Emil Marcone could be the NPC to offer it to players having them strike at targets that would cripple Guido Verandi's claim on the Port Oakes Governorship, but as a twist during the SF present the team with a choice to either support Emil or betray him and ally with Guido instead. Either opposing NPC would be the big bad of the SF and would relate to the story of Port Oakes.

Is there anything Ice Control can be paired with to make it awesome?
SeraphimKensai replied to Damoklese's topic in Dominator
I'm not the biggest fan of icy assault despite having an ice/ice/ice Perma Dom. I much prefer ice/earth assault/ice. You still get power up. You have a lot of AoE and it works great in melee range, tons of mitigation between artic air's confuse, stacking imob between frostbite + mud pots, while continuously keeping mobs on their asses due to knockdown. Your single target melee attacks do more damage as well, and you are earning sleet on everything. -
This might be one of the first basic questions that I can' say I have no clue. I don't think I've played with sound on since circa 2008.

There's 4 eye beam powers in the game but they are all on different powersets, X-ray beam, glinting beam, ebon eye, and laser beam eyes. Cyclops also threw punches and such, and since he was the team "leader", perhaps leadership is worthwhile pursuing as well. Maybe a willpower/ma/energy tank that's all in on leadership buffs would work.

A couple people tried to die, I think the lowest anyone got to death was maybe 65% hp or so.

What goes well with Thugs Mastermind ??
SeraphimKensai replied to smnolimits42's topic in Mastermind
Might I suggest the Perma Gang war Thugs/Time MM. -
I see my ice/spines tank made the highlight reel. Three ice tanks on that team last night was pretty epic, we had the mobs in slo-mo until their deaths.

The only accolades I typically care about are the stat boosting passives and demonic/eye of the magus. The HC staff did what the OP is asking for PvP, as a means to lower the bar for people to engage in PvP. These accolades are not something that is required to play PvE, but are something that is gained along the way as you play your character. Hmmm as I think on this one I think they should be earned individually per character. I'm trying to avoid thinking about doing this myself on around 200 characters since HC started. Rather than use the well I didn't the hard way you should too mindset, I think that there's not really precedent for account wide boosts of this magnitude so therefore I'm not in favor of the request.

Welcome back. Brutes are Offense/Defense. If you search the forums....there are quite a few threads about rad armor. Some about elec melee. Radiation armor is a layered approach combining resistance and absorb. I wouldn't aim towards building it for defense as it will have no DDR save Ageless radial so any defense can be striped easily. I personally like to build my resistances to make use of cycling meltdown, rune of power, and melee core to cap off my resistances, and then ensure I have 100% resistance to slows/recharge debuffs and aim for building recharge to maximize ground zero and rad therapy. With enough recharge, you'll likely be using Thunderstrike, Lightning Clap (maybe), and Lightning Rod, to keep mobs knocked on their asses. You'll also likely cycle Rad Therapy and Ground Zero with damage procs to have a couple mini nukes to expand on your AoE damage from Thunderstrike and Lightning Rod. I'd probably take both maneuvers and weave as LOTG mules and to slot kismet, shield wall, and reactive defense procs. You'll probably want tactics as well to help hit +4's reliably. For epic/patron there's two main schools of thought: either energy for focused acc, lbe, and physical perfection OR soul for gloom and darkness night. Personally when I build a character I don't often need an extra power like phys perfection (a lot of people like it though, rad armor gives you good Regen/recovery as is) and laser beam eyes is not a lot of damage (but can apply a -res proc although it's fairly unreliable for that because of its recharge). I really like the DPA on Gloom and often pair.that with Arcane Bolt for runners. Darkest Night is a pretty damn good mitigation tool in itself given the -damage and -tohit it applies (not that you need the -tohit, but this also benefits your whole team when used typically for hard targets). For a a rad armor brute I'd look at Musculature Radial, Rebirth Radial for healing/more regen (with a full IO build and accolades you could be damn close to brute HP cap, so that's why I like radial more than core). Melee Core as that's part of your resistance cycle between meltdown and rune of power. Interface, lore, and judgement are dealers choice (although lately I like void for judgement for adding more -damage with darkest night, but it's only useful on advanced difficulty stuff). Sorry for the long post.

Hello, and thanks for your time if you're reading this
SeraphimKensai replied to Tziwen's topic in Corruptor
I have an elec/kin that didn't have room for speed boost. The goal was soloing GM's and that power didn't do anything for me so since the build was power tight i had to skip it.
