I would be pretty surprised if looking at the usefulness of powers that are required, that is T1 secondaries, is not on the radar for the homecoming team.
Tankers aren't going to have any more trouble soloing the low levels than they did before. The difficulty Tankers currently have in the low levels is lack of AoE taunt and lack of self defense when trying to tank for teams.
I don’t think we’ve made much progress at all. AoE heavy tanks were never really in need of much buffing to begin with. So we really haven’t gotten much of anywhere.
I'm just going to keep reporting this until you fix it, because this is a bug YOU caused.
When Homecoming started Energy blast snipe was working fine.
Then you made the changes to how fast snipe works. That's fine, I have no issue with the changes.
But SINCE you made the changes Energy Blast fast snipe is now Mistimed with its sound fx. The result is NOT FUN.
Please fix this. It sucks to have waited 7 years to play my main only for it to be broken by what was supposed to have been a buff.
EDIT: The tone of my post is kinda harsh, sorry. Homecoming team, you are superheroes in my view. That will always be true, no matter what else is going on.
Buff Energy Melee
Buff Dual Pistols.
Illusion for Doms.
Fix old Stalker sets missing key powers.
A Buff/Melee class.
Finish Kalisti Wharf.
Another Incarnate zone.
More Incarnate trials.
More content, or a setting for old content, that really requires Tank and CC roles to be filled.
Personally, I think an added difficulty mode (similar to WoW's "Mythic" dungeons) for TFs would be a good idea. Add some worthwhile rewards (probably just increased merit rewards would be ok) and BINGO we have content that actually calls for Tanks and CC.
On my Titan Weapons/Radiation Armor Scrapper Particle Shielding allows slotting of Endurance Modification enhancements, but slotting them does nothing because the End Mod on that power is marked to ignore enhancements and buffs.
I assume the bug is that the power is accepting End Mod enhancements, not the ignore enhancements label.
Any mention of farming or self capping damage is a distraction. The discussion is about Brute and Tank relative performance IN TEAMS in actual content.
I just want to mention that build momentum does not root you. Pulling out your weapon roots you. If you hit build momentum when you already have your weapon out you will not be rooted.
I like most of what you came up with. The fiction is pretty good. Maybe not quite as clear as the original 10 ATs, but clearer than Sentinel definitely.
I think the main reason I want primary Buff is to get the support powers at earlier levels. I know that's a matter of some controversy.
I agree that sounds fun, and if it was possible to add that as an option to check when you started a task force I would be in favor of it. Only as an option though.
EDIT: An "Incarnate Mode" button would also be fun. Make all the mobs hit harder and have higher hit points and tohit. Maybe some other bonuses.
I must admit to being unfamiliar with the existing handicap buttons.
The game is meant to let you reproduce the different flavors of hero. One of those is Super tough, even at lower levels. Tankers will always have a place in the game. These changes are good though.
If you slot Endurance Reducers in your attacks it does ok, and if you have a secondary with any endurance boost, Regen, Radiation, etc, you should be fine.
It's not just maneuvers, it's all the other various team defense buffs, including bubbles, ice shields, fade, farsight, and everything else. They are useful specifically Because they get everyone to the Incarnate soft cap. Saying they are not useful because people are soft capped is bizarre. They are Why people are soft capped.
I would like to address one other claim made here. The idea that Defense buffs don't matter in the endgame.
What is the endgame? Is it farming +4/x8 a mission cherry picked with damage you resist?
I think endgame is Incarnate content.
Well, most people are NOT softcapped in Incarnate content. So it seems to me team defense buffs are still plenty valuable.
