It depends on the powersets. In a lot of cases, the Stalker is better dps, but not all. In many cases the Scrapper is much better at AoE, and they are a little tougher, generally.
In my actual testing (as opposed to my theorycrafting) of AR on Sentinels, I find the single target damage is still way too low compared to other Sentinels. AoE is fine. I struggle to take out many bosses, especially at the high levels. I would really like to see Sentinel Slug get the same lowered cast time as other ATs. I think that would help.
Another fix would be for contacts to offer you a list of available missions so you could pick the one you want.
Random Mission could be an option on that list.
My buddy and I sometimes fish (Abandon and missions, repeatedly if necessary) for missions in order to get the same one in situations like this.
I agree it's lame and should be fixed.
I love the AR changes. With the improvements to FA and FT I don't need any more AoE from Ignite, so getting a third blast is a nice improvement. Beanbag was always skipped, so Aim is a BIG BOOST. Excellent!
Who said anything about after ED but before IOs? I said NOW. The game is more fun NOW than ever before.
Once again, ED saved the game by making room for IOs and Incarnates. That's a fact, whether you agree or not.
Without ED and the Defense and Control nerfs there would not have been room in our power levels for any of that. I remember that time very clearly. Adding diminishing returns on enhancements was a great idea that should have been in from the very beginning.
