  1. I just wish there was an option not simply to search, but in fact to SORT.
  2. The absolute worst, and nothing else ever really came close, was Mercenaries, and that has now been buffed mightily. While there are still a few power sets in need of a little help, there are no longer any that are so bad they can’t be made powerful and effective. It’s just not that hard of a game.
  3. When was the last time you tried these? They're pretty baller now.
  4. Clearly there are many players who WANT to be able to play permanently as a Praetorian. Now it's also clear the game is not currently designed to allow for that, but it would be nice if things could be pushed in that direction.
  5. It's not useless, but probably you can build to not need it.
  6. The knockback is not slottable, so why would it take sets for it?
  7. I agree the Epic sets could use a balance pass. It would be nice though if any buffs were tailored to the set, rather than just doing the same thing to all of them.
  8. Well, most of the other pool attacks SHOULD be buffed. It's not a pool attack buff race, because the standard for comparison is Primary attacks, not each other. Arcane Bolt and Toxic Dart are fine as is. The others should be brought up to that level and then leave it there.
  9. Maybe alter the way Fighting Synergy works, so that Kick and Boxing get buffed by each additional Fighting pool power you have, including Tough and Weave? I don't know if that really solves the problem, but it might help.
  10. Does the ATO take you over 90?
  11. No it’s not about godliness and cheat codes. It’s about wasting power picks. Now that I think about it, my suggestion above in this thread actually does not address the real problem at all. The problem, using just the Fighting pool as an example, is that Kick and Boxing by themselves are no good at all. Contrary to my previous response in this thread, I have absolutely no issue with the requirement that I have to take a power in order to get Tough and two for Weave. My issue is simply that the options to fill that requirement are worthless. This is not the case with Leadership, and it’s debatable with Medicine and Presence, but in the case of Fighting it’s really clear. I am happy to keep taking a prerequisite for Tough, but it shouldn’t be so terrible.
  12. I made my Demons/Thermal, Mephistophelass, now level 24 and having a great time so far.
  13. Pretty sure you can recolor iirc.
  14. That wouldn’t fix the problem. The powers need to be good on their own, not only if you take a tier 3 in the same set.
  15. What I'm in favor of is the remaining power pools being made to match the Travel pools, with 3 powers available at T1. That means Tough, Tactics, Intimidate, and Aid Self available at level 4 with no prereqs, but the remaining powers would continue to have their existing prereqs. Is it power creep? Yes, absolutely. Do I think it's a really big problem? No, definitely not.
  16. I haven't, but maybe I'll try it and let you know.
  17. Why do you suppose that is? I would've expected the opposite, given the Purple Patch hitting debuffs but not buffs...
  18. Demon Masterminds get a flaming whip. So Demons/Thermal is your combo.
  19. FFXIV has an option that lets you minimize the effects of other players graphics. It might be cool if this game had something similar, if it doesn't already.
  20. How about they just buff the Presence pool to cover some of this?
  21. I don't see the problem you are referring to. When you use Train Ninjas your pets gain a power called "Danger Sense" that grants Melee, Ranged, and AoE Defense. The values of this power improve when you slot Train Ninjas with Defense. I just checked it myself. It works perfectly.
  22. I would assume they meant they were getting merits from Story arc content and we’re using those to buy salvage that they sold on the market. Dumping converters on the AH for 1 inf isn’t exactly “market manipulation”.
  23. I guess I would say I don't really think how you're portraying it is true, but I wouldn't have the faintest idea of how to find the old posts about it, so we needn't argue about it. It doesn't really matter now. The real point is that in the long run Enhancement Diminishing Returns SAVED the game, because they DID make room for things like IOs and Incarnate powers. So whether it was for the right or wrong reason, it was the right thing to do.
  24. Jack wanted CoH to be like Elden Ring.
  25. To get even more specific, I remember ED itself being basically a euphemism, intentional or not. They NEEDED to limit what we could get from enhancements. Talking about diversifying which enhancements we used was a distraction, to try (unsuccessfully) to keep our eyes off what was, at the time, a sizable nerf. They should have just called it what it was, Enhancement Diminishing Returns. Still a nerf, but not an insultingly idiotic excuse.
