  1. Confuse is good for anything annoying. If you don't have end drain protection, you can confuse a sapper at the start. I lean with it being better for solo play. I rolled a Psi/dark brute yesterday so only level 12. The biggest issue with Psionic so far is how little control you seem to have when you get Insight. It seems great when you get it. I have no good solution outside of the devs making it a toggle which generates the DoT on your Psionic attacks. I did purposely pair Psionic with a damage aura to offer a different type of damage for later on. I'll add in Soul as a Patron.
  2. I looked into some numbers. StJ should be high due to its animation and recharge times for building fury, and it has a heavy hitter as compared to Savage even though Savage has more AoE. Psionic is interesting in that is a slower animation time set, but not terribly so. The advantage to it is getting Insight since that adds DoT to its attacks. The downside is Insight. My fix just feels like "Anything but that." The closest thing I got is having a toggle which adds the DoT so it is like a damage aura, but different. I rolled a Psi brute today and got it to 8. I'll see how it goes as it levels. When I had Insight and could get some attacks in with it, that felt great. I went /dark to offer additional non-psy damage for those times when it is needed. Kinetic is better off for a Scrapper or Tank since they don't need to worry about building fury. Animation and recharge times hurt it. The only benefit here and it isn't exclusive to Brutes is the -DMG being used with armor sets. Animation times on WM aren't special and those recharges are long. I tapped out on a build which offered +recharge in the armor and still couldn't deal with it. Crowd Control is a beautiful thing though.
  3. Stalkers: More control over crits. Innate ability to ghost missions, see merit and Incarnate component farming. Scrappers: Mildly sturdier AoE in terms of primary and secondary since scrappers can get a damage aura. With ATOs factored in, they are rather comparable, Another strike against MA as a stalker is the lack of adding AoE via the secondary unless you go /sd, but you would still be just at Shield Charge as your AoE. MA on a brute with a damage aura is much better option. As mentioned, MA on a brute can lead to a rather sturdy brute.
  4. I did a Citadel TF with 8. set at +0. We decided we could do it with splitting the team to help cover more ground and more so with the defeat alls. We cranked through it at a brisk pace. I think only I died on my blaster, and to be fair, I wasn't paying too much attention since it was such a cakewalk.
  5. Still happening.
  6. FYI, you are slotting end redux in those toggles.
  7. I realized I teamed with the OP. All I'll say is they mean well. Like REALLY REALLY well, but sometimes doing so also rubs people the wrong way. I watched a team dissolve after what I felt was an odd comment at the end of a mission. They do advertise teams in a great way though as they do actual arcs. Considering they have a thread on being a dedicated AT, I'm not really sure what "Only train your defender powers until later" really means. I assume they mean your attacks, and well, no need to beat that dead horse. FYI, even on live RI didn't move to the next mob unless the anchor was still alive, and well, good luck finding a group willing to drag the anchor around a map considering putting it on a boss was the ideal situation back then. I had a Rad/sonic on live. RI animation time made it situational back then on the right teams. On level 50 team these days, its animation time really isn't all that ideal. I still think Rad is one of the best sets for support.
  8. Congrats on being helpful to people. Now try doing so to the OP.
  9. You assume way too much. They never mentioned farming. You did. They even listed what it is for which only included doing non-farming. They said they had a bunch of influ at 70 mil. 70 mil is NOT a bunch of influ. For level 34? Sure, but overall is being a bit naïve in saying that. 70 mil is a casual day for someone who knows how to work the market. Not sure what referencing Glacier Park has to really do in this context. Someone who hasn't posted in this thread liked your build. Yay you? FYI, I have a lower level /fire Brute. If I ever go asking about build advice, it won't be because I need the most "leet /fire farmer." I know this might be difficult for someone with a quote about farming in their sig, but maybe just maybe I want something fun for non-farming and wanting to see how /fire handles non-farming content. I literally already know how /fire does farming.
  10. Hell, Wind Control is listed on HC Wiki and that's still not a thing. https://hcwiki.cityofheroes.dev/wiki/Wind_Control (wants my precious Wind/kin)
  11. For me, I go getting the four stat boosting accolades, IO sets, and then Incarnates if I'm will to go all in. I'm honestly fine with not doing so on various builds. We are talking a various amounts of hundreds of thousands of currency to fully IO and 80+ levels of play to T4 everything. Sometimes it is just nice to go out and play a build for the sake of it versus feeling the need to fully pimp it out as well. I have roughly 30 characters. I am close to having two done.
  12. I saw a vet level 130 with no sign of using incarnates, so you don't "have" to do it. I will say life as a player gets easier if you simply go T3 on the alpha slot since you now are level 50(+1). Depending on the build, just getting that amount of the incarnate system can be a decent boon to a character, see fixing end issues. Two additional levels are possible for Incarnate specific content, but again, that is less "required."
  13. Since no one has mentioned the obvious, is there any difference in the amount of deaths?
  14. The issue here is simply the kind of changes the OP is looking for from a group of volunteers for what would be a fraction of what was an originally small player base to begin with. Lets not forget this isn't a legal copy of CoH. This is "Surprised the ban hammer hasn't dropped yet" edition. There is minimal press for this game for that significant reason. How much press does the OP think even the best PvP version for CoH is going to generate? I can likely rattle off 10 changes from the top of my head which need to be done which would make for a far happier player base. Best case scenario is there is a group of volunteers who come along and take a copy of the code base which teams having been using for their own flavors of CoH and create a enhanced PvP based version of that. I wish the OP luck in that regard. "Do I want to go convert over CoH code to the changes I want for PvP or go play Fortnite?"
  15. Can we get readable text first?
  16. Defender ATOs and Sonic work really well together.
  17. Fighting through missions. Challenging the build to see what it can do. A lot of times I get to do content most groups aren't doing. Some of the times, I just want to log on and not deal with other people. If a build can handle larger mobs, then why not all of the rewards come to me?
  18. This was brought up just over a week ago. Not saying the things you want can't happen, but it is a volunteer group, so things take awhile.
  19. DB is best of you dump a lot of recharge into the build and ignore the combo system. EA offers +recharge and is a great set to start with so that would be my lean. Ninja Blade is best played on other ATs.
  20. There should be amazing crops with all of the farming the heroes are doing.
  21. They also get 6 ST attacks when end game builds focus on 3-4. Even on a leveling build and 5 seems overkill. Hell, Elec didn't lose any AoE, but lost a control for AS.
  22. The loss of AoE for Stalkers makes me lean away from EM for them. It isn't like EM needs more high damage ST attacks. Currently running a EM/ea scrapper.
  23. A character at 1 HP so I can get a end discount isn't the win people think it is.
  24. Avoid level 50 PuGs. It is on the rarer side you see a PuG running at +4 when they are below 50. Builds in their teens and 20s simply aren't built for it. Note, I think the lead forgot to switch their diff setting when starting a Posi. Yeah, we had to reset. You can even use the Pillar and run some teams through lower level story arcs. Lord knows teams avoid those outside of the well beaten path(Frostfire). If it isn't a TF/trial, AV hunting, farms, or radios, it almost feels like people are going, "But why?" I do see on occasion a level 50 on a lower level PuG.
  25. You mean SR has capped defense.
