Just still put in the beacon. -
Storm has long been argued with lesser support numbers versus a defender to still be better on a controller since a controller could mitigate the chaos.

Not enough love for Dark.

Which power set is better to go with poison

Struggling a little with end doesn't really sound like Cardiac to me. It also depends on currently slotting. -
Huh. I logged in around 9:30-10:30 and I don't think I have seen anything in months. I'll have to start looking for it.

I went Cold/water so I could name them Tall Glass. If soloing AVs is something to be looked at, then Beam is definitely worth looking into.

You can look here as an example build.

I can't recall the last time I have seen one in chat. Maybe they are done in other channels, but I almost exclusively use LFG. I tend to get on later, so I'm wondering if that is it.

I need to go back to my level 50 Dark/dark controller. I hit 50 and parked it. I have a minor bit of a rant about how control is in the current end game meta, but I don't think it is there to be really stellar damage even for a controller. It is no Ill or Fire. More so it inspired me to roll a Dark/dark defender since on fast enough teams, I would simply rather be blasting away. I do think the build is quite good though, and I can't really blame it for the current meta. The -tohit, control, and heal pretty much makes for safe teaming.
-
Well, I was mostly looking at level 50 HOs compared to level 53s. 50s are sanely priced. I'm surprised I don't see Hami done more often or at all with the market being what it is.
-
Went looking at level 53 HOs on the market, and this just further confirms level 50s will be more than enough. No reason to double the cost of a build for a few HOs.

Ran a SF, we went our ways as need be, and nobody said boo. The diff setting was at +0. I know at one point I and another cleared a floor by ourselves. I see no reason for high level characters to stay bunched together on a task which is set at that diff setting. +4? Sure, we can talk, but I was on a PuG last night were half the team dropped after mission complete and the rest of us went around cleaning up mobs since it was the BM map. In other words, we were just fine as 4 people doing +2/x8 content, and we were level 41. If a team has multiple ways to nuke, then yeah, you are legitimately slowly yourself down by not splitting up. No one needs three nukes on a single mob.

A beacon into Cimerora. Keep the requirement for the badge to see it come up as an option. I think the biggest reason I haven't done a ITF on HC is due to needing the badge(yes, I know it is easy to get) and getting there. I tired doing this redside, went looked it up online, and gave up instead of going through it. Night Ward for the badge. SB Porter. Cimerora beacon. And done. -
Rad is great based on two of its AoEs, but two ST attacks have longish animation times and those keep it in the second tier for me in terms of fun. Sets I got to 50 although not on tanks which are fun for me would be Claws, StJ, and Kat. I'm at level 30 with EM. While it might lack a bit in the fun factor, it is good enough I think I can default to using it when I pick a new build. Savage and Psionic could be top tier for fun if they got reworked(Hemo, Insight). Also working on a Dark/staff which has been fun. I probably have to turn in my Tanker card, but SS is one of the most boring sets I have played. Despite being what it looks like on paper, I couldn't make a SS/elec fun. Slow sets in general don't work for me either. I've only hit 50 with WP and Bio for sets tanks get. I've only IOed out the WP and currently working on the Bio. Current leaning is Bio is better for the fun factor. I have some Rads, Darks, and Shields at lower levels, but I don't find click mezzes fun. I'll know more when the Rads and Darks get IOed out. Non tanks, EA all day for me. /regen scrapper was great until late game although I never IOed it out either. If I had to pick a build for min/max + fun, I think I would go Dark, Bio, or Rad with EM. I definitely think about a Dark/em for the stacked stuns.

-tohit to help make sure you aren't hit. 2 heals to make sure you are up. An AoE KB power which can be turned into KD if need be. AoE Immobilization power to keep things in place. 3 mezzes. 2 ways to recover end. The best player damage buff in the game. But yeah, outside of that the utility is pretty mediocre. Dark's damage is rather DoT based at times and in the meta game of speed I can see why it might come across as lacking, but I don't think Dark's damage is actually that bad. It is also lightly if not the least resisted.
-
You can cap /ea easily enough to where that can be a good/bad thing. I deem it good for leveling and you can swap out DA later on. /bio will be squishier so you have to manage the clicks, but obviously brings in the added offense.
-
Leveling a EM/ea and Claws/ea. Doing mostly uncommons in the EM build and cranking out +3/x2 right now at 30. I've done Claws to 50 on a scrapper and brute, and my current leaning is I like it better on a scrapper. I think the crits will help cover it being so resisted. The Claws/ea feels like doing a 2.5 version of my main which originally was a Claws/regen scrapper. 2.0 being Claws/wp brute.

I don't think they are saying WM has the same kind of DPS. What they are saying is since WM hits harder, things die, and then they move on to the next target to kill it in short fashion. If fights aren't long, sustained DPS isn't that big of a deal.
-
In terms of IOs, you will likely only six slot a def based power if you are aiming for the bonus for that spot since one of them might be just slotting for end/recharge. In a toggle, recharge is nearly irrelevant.
-
The problem is laying claim yours is close to theirs or even where it ranks within all of the assault sets without doing equivalent testing or finding data which verifies what you are claiming. Science is based on verified data with as close as possible variables so one can look into those variables, ie Dark/* vs Dark/dark. Doing a test with two different methods(full build versus secondary only) isn't the validation you are seeking. "There is no data to support nor prove the claim that dark assault is mediocre" There also isn't data which supports the idea of it not being mediocre. I'm not saying you are wrong. I have my guesses. I'm saying there is a fundamental lack of valid data being used.
