A Dark/dark Dom should be fine in the end for what you want I'm not sure how well or not it will do against EBs as you level. Melee builds should also be fine. If you aren't looking for doing content on the side of x8 mobs, Tanks will rank lower. If you don't mind small(er) packs, Stalkers will be great for cranking through missions quite quickly if that's how you want to do things. Scrappers and Brutes are in the middle, but Brutes are fueled by Fury so lean towards bigger mobs. If Stalker/scrapper, I would look at EA for secondary although Stone is also getting much love in its revamp and addition to these ATs. I just don't have experience with it. EA also has a bit of stealth in it for Scrappers. Shield is also good, but it will take time to develop as the ride with EA is much smoother. If Brute, Invul is really strong. Primaries would lean heavily with Dark as it has a heal and a theme you like. It is more ST focused so that works better for soloing things like AVs. Dark/ea or Dark/invul are going to be hard to kill. Again, possibly going outside of your theme, but Energy melee is by far the best ST damage set so would be rather ideal for soling AVs. I already know my level 35 Em/en Scrapper is going to be one of my best if I go all in on building him. Dark amour is good for Brutes so if you want that theme with going something besides Dark for the primary. Rad melee also has a heal although less consistent, and a couple animations on the longer side, but the damage toggle is overly good for procs. Ice melee is a good mix of lesser resisted damage and controls. Soling AVs for ranged I would look at Beam with something which also adds good debuffs/-regen if possible. Dark does work here for Corrs and Defenders. Ice has enough controls to be more survivable. Soloing with a ranged character really is about hover blasting and having capped ranged defense. Dark blast does have a heal, but its ST damage isn't great. I would lean on Dark for damage since it is the least resisted unless Dark is beneficial in the other set and there's a reason for the damage to come from non-Dark sources(Bean with -regen, and EM because it is stupid good). If Dark is required, I would do Dark/ea as a Stalker or Scrapper. If not, Em/ea Scrapper. I prefer having more AoE on a Scrapper versus losing it and ramping up the already strong ST damage for a Stalker.

I dump currency into builds versus currency sitting around, so I consolidated currency from my main and a couple 50s I have been playing and bought 39. Might just wait for the market to go back to normal and resell them later on.
-
The actual difference is defenders gets 8% more heal and Corrs get 4% more recovery through set bonuses. The difference in procs are Defenders get a minor PBAoE Heal and a minor PBAoE Absorb as where a Corr gets minor PBAoE +End/+Health and Chance for +Neg damage. So, a Corr will get more end and damage solo. A Defender would likely get more self heals solo due to the proc and some Absorb so a bit tougher.

Uncommons can be had for cheap. I'm at the point where I don't slot commons unless they really are the only real option. I actually frankenslot the attuned ones which can be had at level 7 and 12 and slot them until I want to switch over. I put those in storage for the next character. What I do on the market can be done for under 2 mil as a starting point. I just repeat the process and add more of it until I am doing a stack of 10. I can log in the morning and be done in lets say 5 minutes. I pimped out 5 builds so far and my main just sits at the AH instead of using my farmer, who I use to level other characters and honestly have run once in two months due to having an item which increases drops. And yes, get a character to 50 and play them. Common level 50 recipes are overly good for their sale value. 10 mill on a 50 is like 2-3 nights of casual gaming. WP is a solid set, but once IOs and Incarnates are factored in, WP can have issues when pushed based on the situation.

Save the inspirs you get in the tutorial and then sell them on the market for some quick start up currency.

StJ/ea Stalker in game. Psi def is 18.16%. Toxic is 12.24%. Everything else is over 50%. S/L resist is 69.12%. But hey, take that WP against something which debuffs. I did it with my Brute at +1/x8 against BP and watched my health bar melt like butter and that's with IOs.

As a data point, I was bidding on level 15s. One came back as a level 15. Others as attuned.
-
I know the level doesn't matter for unattuned. Someone can sell a level 15 and it end up being a level 25 for the buyer. I wasn't sure if attuned where treated the same in terms of inventory. Considering the issue, I was willing to burn a few to see if things improved going for either version. Note, the version I bought was not attuned.

Market Bug: Different Items are sharing sales history.
Without_Pause replied to Adeon Hawkwood's topic in Bug Reports
Bonesnap A/D. I had bids of 100K in for the attuned and unattuned IO. Every day, I see the last five as being at best in the 25K range. -
Not really. I've seen one sale, 40k, which was above what I was bidding at that time. Anything else I have seen is the same listing from day to day although the selling price has gone from 10K to 25k. I get the devs here are volunteers, but this looks to be a bug for at least 2.5 years. Maybe not have a dedicated dev for the Market, but at least have something at this point.
-
I put in 100k bids for 5 attuned and 5 non-attuned versions of the same IO(Bonesnap A/D). And yet, every day the last 5 are between 10k-25k. I understand I might not get them since supply is between 0-1 with 300 bidding, but how the hell are 5 daily bids clearly below mine getting filled every day? I've so far only gotten one unattuned IO so far, and I think that was at 25k. Bids have been in on the attuned ones for roughly a week. The unattuned ones for 3+ days.

Stone Armor Stalker - What Attack Set?
Without_Pause replied to Mythical Creature's topic in Stalker
I would go StJ or Ice. I just got my Ice/ea to 12, but I might reroll to /stone since I have a /ea at 50 and use it as a default for melee when possible. -
To clarify, a Rogue can do blue side content. They can only lead blue side trials/TFs and regular missions in co-op zones. They can not go to Atlas, find a contact, and accept their missions. I solo a lot and play red side. It enables me to do content I haven't done to death and avoid doing things like yet another Posi.

New Badges for things I was going to do anyway
Without_Pause replied to Yomo Kimyata's topic in General Discussion
That's like a Tuesday. -
I remember making a desktop application for one of the Big 3 car makers a few years ago. During the demo, the first question asked was when it was going to be made into an online app. I'm not saying we can't have a desktop application. My job is to literally support desktop applications along with websites. I'm just surprised in this day and age a web version hasn't been made as that should be the one made first. If I'm HC, this is one feature I would be adding to the site. If people need an offline version, it isn't THAT difficult to make. If you do it open source, people could have copies on their computers already. (is old enough to work with Cobol)
-
I prefer not thinking about how terrible the IU experience would be for it on a phone. I do yearn for a web version of it. As a software developer, I get confused by the need for desktop applications these days.

Is it possible to make a Energy/Energy Blasting Farmer ???
Without_Pause replied to smnolimits41's topic in Blaster
The question is should you? I think I would die from boredom if I ever had to play a En/en blaster built for farming. You can take a fraction of that currency and do a budget Fire Brute, which can pull off +4/x8 quite comfortably. I guess it depends on what you are farming for. I have a Fire brute and have used it to farm once in the past two months and that's only due to getting an item from a hero packs which increases drops for a time. I did five fully IOs builds with at least one being around a billion was simply funded via the market. If it is to PL characters on a second account, again, I would be so incredibly bored using a En/en blaster for farming. FYI, if you have a character which can do DA missions at +4/x8 at a reasonable clip, then you have a character who can farm. -
Common prices would be fairly stable. I've already seen and documented how even some uncommon recipes have jumped lets say 3x the cost at buy it now rates since Page 3 hit. I could slow drip one of them at 10k before Page 3. Last I checked the market had them at buy it now prices of 400k. This just being with one server going red during the weekend.
-
Market also has to deal with the player base. Since the new Page came out, the servers are seeing much more activity and thus prices are going up. While stuff is easier to get, I do wonder what the market would be like if HC had Live like numbers.
-
Started working on a second recipe in the set. Both are 350K+. I've seen occasional bids of 1 million. Update: 400k.

EA only adds recharge and SM is ST based so that is understandable. It is a similar to EM/ea for me. I'll get it to 50, but I don't know if I have the desire to complete it in terms of incarnates.
-
I'll offer up Rad or EA as other ideas since they boost recharge the most and Savage boosts recharge itself. Very blender style of fighting.

Elec armor is going to be good on Tank. It has high resists, a heal, end management, +recharge, and protection from end drain. I had one on live as part of a hardcore supergroup. Elec melee is good on a Tank for the sake of the AoE aspect and the cap for number of targets. An argument can be made it is better on a Stalker due to help with the ST attack chain, but due to the pet nature of the T9, it can be deemed lesser on a Scrapper or Brute. The biggest issue with Elec is the ST chain although that can be smoothed over when it comes to Epics.
