I think I even have recharge in it (well a to hit/end cost/rech) to have it up whenever. It's replaced an attack in my 1 key to always be on. (Halo Covenant voice) Port Port Port. +42 to hit and nuke or sniper. It's become my default last choice on a toon (instead of hover, leadership, etc.) unless I'm going for Fold Space. Best part about the teleport changes - they work on default slotting allowing you to six-slot other things.

Indeed. The sniper change helped Electrical blast, Archery and Assault Rifle's ST attack chain enough. Sonic didn't get that. I'd say Dual Wield is in the same boat but most of my toons skip it unless I want a proc'd ST attack. -Res doesn't allow as many procs because it's side effect doesn't allow you to slot for it. Shout would need a mag .5 KD or inherent stun chance to justify it's current animation time but we all want the damage as is and the animation cut down (to 1.83 or so?)

Cavern (at least as of Sept. 2020) was always dropping a door mission rare in sets starting in the 10-20 range. I think it was still doing it in October. It could be an oversight that it's always given it and "accidentally" been fixed.

For the record, as an electrical blaster fan and wanting Tesla Cage, Short Circuit and Voltaic Sentinel to get reworked...., Shout needs it more.

Tested with a level 13 that had not run it before and badge granted but no recipe. So fully removed (or bugged). UPDATE: Tried in on Beta Server and no drop there either.

No kidding. Once you've done your entire roster (seriously, it's like a Holiday Week in CoH when Cavern is WST) you have 45 recipes you vendor and 15 that are worth crafting or take uncommons to make but are listed as Rare for coverting. But to the original point - for new players it should give more than a badge and 8 merits.

Has anyone gotten this too? I've run 3 characters so far and no recipe drop. Yes, the notice and double merits still work for it being a WST. Update: Runs so far... The 50s had run CoT before. 1. 50 solo 2. 2 50s 3. 50 with an 18 that hadn't done Cavern before. No recipe drops upon completion or after calling in to the contact. I'll try a toon in level range that hasn't done it before later today and report back. I'm down for no recipe drops as a farmable thing but first-timers should get one.

The click has a looooong recharge time vs an inherent.. well... always being on. That is a good example of two defensive powers though. You could add Link Minds to that too.

CQC: Short blade and pistol in the same set. Secondary for blasters. It could also be a Pool power (epic or otherwise). Flashbangs, a quick slash that's DoT lethal, a pistol whip with a stun chance attached, etc. I've wanted Pistols for scrappers as a backup for a while (think Captain America being StJ/Shield with CQC as his epic pool). Heavy Artillery epic for brutes/tanks: Think shoulder launchers from mechs and bots MMs. Missile swarms, tear gas, etc. Katana/sword Epic for controllers. Your inner Tsoo demands it. *More variety in epic pools - i'm game for 6 or 7 choices opposed to 5. You're still limited to the total number you can take. Having each set with it's own version of Inherent def or a toggle def or resist armor and being limited to only one choice of any of them (example - you can't have the inherent and both toggles. Just one of them total). Example - Electrical Mastery would have Grounded (inherent), Charged Armor (toggle-resist) and Charged Shield (toggle-def) as defense choices. You can only pick one and the other 2 gray out. EDIT: I guess I'll ask everyone here - would having both an inherent and toggle armor on be overpowered for non-melee ATs?

If you can slot for the Toxic Resistance you get the ability to slot resist sets. Some powers that grant Toxic resist on the side (Scorpion Shield, some +def/shield buffs) give the bonus but don't let you slot for it (the trade off being it's already a high number). This means no resist sets or resist IOs can go into some armors/def that give toxic resistance. EDIT: Yes the above is silly considering slotted for cold/fire resistance isn't worth the effort besides a place for uniques. We can ask Powerhouse if that's broken to let Scorpion shield get Moar def (they'd probably lower the toxic resist to compensate)

A Dark Astoria-themed short TF like Apex and Tin Mage that has the same reward table would be nice. Two or three missions that an incarnate team could do in 12-25 minutes. We need another one of these to add to level 50 rotations.

I think some Epic versions of Ice Armor allow for slotting resistance sets so there's +6 def to all for 2 slots. Not all versions of Ice Armor give this though. But the only ice epic I like is dominators for the 2 rain aoes. Scorpion Shield is usually the bonus for power boost or some other Black Scorpion pool power.

Even though Avalanche has the coveted 5 percent melee defense in a paboe set, it's the most common of the IO drops. Might be a good set to low bid on even if you don't need them as conversion bait later.

50 packs: 65 Winter IOs 275 reward merits It feels like 1.2 IOs is the average as if I open 5 packs 2 will be doubles, 2 will be singles and one has none. I got 25 rewards merits in my first 20 packs (total) but had 33 Winter IOs In my next 30 I got 32 IOs and 250 reward merits Catalysts are like nails on a chalkboard to me. I rotate level 50 alts so I always have more that I can use.

Ok I gotta say this to the Siphon Speed comment above: 1. Siphon Speed is unresisted for part of it's -movement speed. I've slowed the LTs in BAF trials to a crawl and they're supposed to be immune. 2. It gives +recharge to you (and stacks). 3. It makes Hover amazing. I understand hating the misses though. It's a big a let down as missing with K O blow or Assassin Strike. As for 5 percent happening so often - how difficult would be it be to try changing the chance to miss from 95.00 to 96.00 for a beta test? I don't code so I'm clueless to the depths of issues it could cause across all rolls the game makes. I'm wondering if a 4 percent chance to miss using the RNG ends up being an actual 5 percent-ish over time.

Assuming your 25 rolls in CoH vs 15 rolls in PnP systems meaning 5 percent chance to miss is too high: Make it so you automatically miss rolling 98.01 percent or higher Make it so rolling 95.01-98.00 is a Half damage glancing blow.

Would you want a "Glance"? Where a really high accuracy attack vs target still hits for partial damage? /animefacescratchanimation

Halloween started in 2019 on Oct.1 and ended On Oct. 31ish (I believe the morning of Nov. 1). Halloween 2020 started on a Tuesday (Oct. 6 and lasted through Nov. 3 - so 4 weeks) Nov. 29 (per The Warpact's post) in 2019 would have it start the weekend after Thanksgiving but Dec. 31st was a Tuesday last year so the event ending on a server reset makes sense at least. This year Dec. 1 is a Tuesday and Dec. 31 is a Thursday. If they go 4 weeks this year it could be Dec. 8 to Jan. 5. If you're worrying about missing a few days there we did have the Mender Derek event over the Summer.

Pack giveaways are something of a f2p tactic to get players to log in. This is a completely free game. We don't need to do that here. As much as I'd like a free pack players would start creating accounts just to get free packs. At best - maybe give everyone a free Frost bite (1 hour offensive buff thing) in their Account email so only that account can use it when they log in any time during December. We still need a Summer event or Anniversary event here.
