I have an Elec/katana tank for theme (always wanted to pair the two and tank was the last AT I hadn’t done something with electrics with). Is it worth re-rolling as titan? I tried invin/titan and didn’t take to it besides just looking neat.

Thunderstrike like, low damage aoe kd around the target?
-
Based on the last time the shard tfs ended, Sutter/Mort Kai would be next. edit: and I see the date was changed. ITF week!
-
But then ... aren’t you making Goku? kinetic scrapper and call it a day?
-
How does Chain Induction work with procs? Does it boost the “pseudo pet” or you during the chain?

Logging out anywhere in DA where you're not getting the Mortician or Caregiver buff should grant it. I usually put my characters on the ledge of the base of the hospital building by the TUNNEL portal and it works there. If you're not sold it's being granted just log back in to the character after 5-10 minutes and it should show a few seconds of the +res+def buff in your temp powers window. It's a useful day job for Electric and Radiation Armor due to the defense buff and resistance buff in areas where they're weak. Echo:DA is the same way with mortician (should grant everywhere). In incarnate DA you can get mortician in the level 54 Mot area but they long ago stopped the two day jobs at once thing.

I agree with this, but full drain is the best use of the secondary effect. You are a 3rd rate controller. my main on live was an Elec/nrg blaster and I mainly punched for damage and used the primary for groups and CCing. I haven’t remade it because an electric/nrg sentinel did that 2nd thing while surviving better. what if electric had a chance for extra DoT damage like fire does?
-
What if you got a free stun or sleep on targets hit with a drain while at 0 endurance? 0 end - sleep 0 end and floored recovery - stun The - damage time idea could work too.

Super Strength - Electric Armor Brute (needs help)
Rejolt replied to Dax Doomslayer's topic in Brute
Depends on what you want the brute to do. Mine has taunt, is immune to slows, used Unbreakables in all resists save for Grounded (which held a +def IO), and has 40 melee def to go with near capped resists to all but psi, negative and toxic. It can tank and farm but it’s not the best dps out there. 1. Your accuracy is too low due to kinetic combats so maybe make room for a kismet plus to hit. If you’re fighting 50-51s and your alpha slot is in you’re fine. 2. -Res proc goes Nicely from the annihilation set in fences 3. and if you have room Fury of the gladiator-res in LF unless you can go all in on the fury building ATO set in it. 4. combat jumping is a better proc mule than maneuvers as it costs nothing and let’s you resist immobilizes when you leave the ground. What def numbers are you going for? -
I lived with the knockback, but I also run electric fences and wait to use LC until all the mobs are brawling me inside the fences.
-
I’d like anything that resists an energy knockback to take a mag 1, 5 to 8 second (time depends on AT) stun. Knockback is all or nothing and when it’s all it tends to annoy. This would at least give some sets CCing synergy with it.

We are all pretty invested now after 4-plus months but we're not official yet. It's hard to stop us playing the game but nothing is legit here when you break it down. I hope we get to treat this as a live beta that becomes "live" eventually but I don't want any HC dev for a second to worry about that if it makes us a real thing.
-
Leaping pool needs a lot of love if FoW goes live. Jump kick warping to a target to a knockdown, acrobatics getting Def debuff resistance would be a nice start As for legit servers, I have zero problem starting over and paying an entry fee & being called a 15-year vet.
-
The point was it is only hurting def-intensive characters currently. The change affects builds more equally. Most resist-based toons go well over the cap too to particular types. Fire vs fire, Elec vs energy, etc., if farming extreme damage of those types would likely still be near 90 percent. edit: asking for -10 def/-10 res is a better route to go for asking for a change. Current devs are likely going by the 1 def = 2 res concept established on live (I don’t think this way but I understand it).

Was going to say this. I don’t want want to suggest anything about it lol. It’s already lost it’s def bonus from launch! I made a really bad Rage suggestion on Friday but after saying it I played a SS tank on Pineapple and my SS brute on live: I love the beta change and I’m good with it as is. 1. I can time the 25 end cost better 2. I can time the Gaussian proc when I need it and 3. in case of emergency I can stack Rage, which when my acc is debuffed comes in handy
-
Terrible idea: Rage gives inherent buffs based on knocks (back, down, up) caused and knocks attempted/ taken. 5 to hit, 20 damage each. Caps at 5. Lasts 10 seconds each. Can only trigger every 2 seconds. Its a baaaaad idea but would actually feel like rage. Edit: For the stacking lovers, could make it stack higher than 5 but it could have negative effects at 6 and higher. Yes, duration/proc Times would have to be tweaked. Could lower the proc lockout to 1 second as the only knock powers to guarantee them would be FS and Ko blow. I guess incoming fire would matter more for this.

I've tested a fully setted Elec/SS tank and SS/Elec brute on the beta servers and while pretty darn close in performance I'd think a brute teaming with a tank would lose the aggro that makes having fury coupled with a .75 damage scale advisable. Suggest a slight rebalance of a brute's base damage and cap from .75 and 675 to .8 or .85 and lowering the damage cap to 633 or 600

If I'm reading the stats correct: 1. Brutes are magic. 2. We like to kill things with fire. 3. That WILL grow back.

I put the entire ATO set with +Fury in Lightning Field and my fury consistently stayed in the mid 80s (84.5 to 87.5) while I herded groups of Nemesis on Justin/Beta Server. The numbers danced in the low 70s with a frankenslot of sets that included the Fury of the Gladiator -res proc. My SS/Elec brute's test build used just Punch and KO Blow from the primary for ST attacks (FS, Rage, Taunt being the other powers, but I may try to get Hand Clap back) with Cross Punch in the middle and CP doesn't take ATOs. My options for the sets are Punch, KO Blow and Lightning Field and KO blow is too long on the recharge for best use of +fury or the end/regen proc. Footstomp is getting VR PBAoE x5 plus the force feedback proc. I guess the question is do I need the 6th ATO bonus (hard to not take it) saving room for the -res proc? Also, has anyone else tried +Fury in an aura?

Trying Kinetic/Ice on a scrapper where I played Kinetic/WP on live. The live character was great but I'm only in the 20s on the /Ice. I'm so distracted by the awesome animations I have no clue if the secondary is fun for me yet.

Population - at the start it's crazy high on Homecoming and I'm just riding the wave. Also, I'm re-Living my hero days with the game back. I'm just going in order of what I did on live - a few months of heroes that lead to several weeks of Redside characters then eventually starting Loyalists and Resistance in gold side. I'm planning on being here a bit so no rush.
