one way to learn at it, is to buy up the attuned versions of IO sets, that you'll use all the time, and uniques for health, tough/weave etc. you can /respec when fed up with a character and get them all out if slots... then email them to your global name. then slot as you level up! apart from being way stronger than you would be without, you'll end up crafting a build based on what you actually use, and derive a build from your playstyle. on the shopping list: * your archetype origin enhancements (both sets) --> its often good to put these in an ability you use a lot, with a recharge of ~10-12s or thereabouts. theres optimal, but basically you want at the procs per minute aligned with base recharge as a ballpark. * stuff for health: --> miracle unique --> numinas unique --> panacea unique --> preventative med unique >>> for these, if youve a set your building for an autopower/toggle, move it to there instead of health, but basically an 'always on' skill. if you 6 slot a power you like that you have on always, consider preventative medicine as the one, as its 6 slot is a decent amount of recharge. * stuff for stamina: --> 2 performance shifter --> the end mod, and the chance + end * stuff for tough: --> unbreakable guard 7.5% hp --> shield wall +tp prot/def * stuff for weave: --> the scaling dmg resist one --> the cheap one theres 3 of, skip knockback protection, the other 2 --> a luck of the gambler global recharge ive forgotten some and names, but you get the idea. youll use these on nearly every character, kupo. for the rest, buy cheapo sets as you dial stuff in, they often have quite good base resists in them. the pvp sets are great if your into that, and you can wear them super low level, at level 7. winter IOs are similar, but expensive. they can also be upgraded to a 'you must be lvl 50' version. honestly, play about with it, build a kit of attuned enh you can shift about, and youll be less in mids and more in game looking at combat attribs - and will get in your head a measure of where youre at. good luck, and have fun, kupo. yours, honoroit the fantastic

i think its awesome. look, theres gonna be a shitfit. the instant businesses can, theyll cut staff. it costs 2x in overhead to put them in an office typically, and these days theyll quiet quit if they cant work from home whenever they like. you see, theres an entire layer of people who's job was to be physically present and low grade intimidate (sorry, motivate). thats, thankfully, cleared a bit with covid, but this 'ai can do job' thing... well, yes, in many cases. for coding stuff, especially known problem domain with meta language coverage (think terraform, helm charts, cloudformation, various yaml and bobs for pipelines to consume) - the drive has been to reduce these to 'human readable' for those that couldn't. now, and soon, that becomes consumption to models with goal seek patterns. proper coding wise, its the same, we tell ourselves 'itll never be able', but know at the same: it is made of a stuff that encodes meaning to a language with form and rules. it has success criteria that can be derived or defined, it exists on networks with the same and has backing telemetry and protocols it complies with... people just want to scream at their compute: 'make bucket! set fire! put it out! attribute heroism to me. profits!' and so they shall. 2 years, im telling you, 2 years until its cutting folk left and right. survive, said the prophet.

oh ya the damage is bad on elec control. the gremlins hit ok, but if youre coming off a melee, domi even, or blast type, its bad. (damage is better on something like an elec/earth domi if wanting to keep the primary). i dont think of it at all like that on my elec / ea controller. i can do decent group healing, yes, and the chain moves fast. I can put a group absorb shield sveral times a minute, same with group end recover in chunks available instantly to my teammates. control wise, i hold them rather than kill hard baddies, the aoe hold goes off quickly, and i always bring a tazer to supplement the st hold. sleep patch is great, and works past people blasting off aoes in it. chain is for recharge proc fire, and the cc it provides. now im sure you can kind of break all your set bonuses and put in procs, sort of, but elec control? it does not do good damage.

make a necro, get zombie walk, stop being in a harrumph, OP! even better, save your inf and get some prismy things for a costume. you can sort of grind them i think, but i dunno how, so... anyways, its tons of fun to play as a wicked npc!

take you back into 'breakout', but like you revisited the undead asylum (much harder monsters) end the mission where the villians begin? thatd be fun, like a bank robbery you cant skip, or mayhem mission.

these work great! i went crazy, rolled a character called 'rot bringer', and spend 400m on 100 prismy things so i could look like the lich! i did a necro/ff because it seems like itd be super annoying in pvp. itd be great if we could fight openly in atlas park and other pvp zones, like if friday nights were fight time, or if all pocket d was open flag pvp, maybe at the chalet / slopes... but people report my forum posts when i talk about the pvp. anyways, thanks for the macro info, I can play MM again! i saw a robot one too, he had group fly, and the robots all had jump boosts from their feet. he took off with his crew, to taunt me, but looked cool doing so in steel canyon.

i really wanna make another mm, but since switching to a 75% keyboard and having no numpad, just dont wanna have to modify a whole half dozen bind files, remap everything, and so on. pure lazy, and im missing out!

honoroit the rot bearer, honoroit the unclean! Id like to make a defender. I know that sonic blast is good. however, Id like to try something new to me, and am eyeing doing something like flooring def. I dont know how effective that is versus -res, and I'm not sure if theres a payoff for doing defender vs corruptor (as the city of data stuff seems to only put the debuffs on rad blast off by 25%... and several of the radiation emission powers seem to have same values) my choices are... poison or rad emission, with a secondary of rad or water. what's bestest, in your opinion. im probably going to try to save up 400 bajillion inf for a neat thorncaster costume for them. so it has to be great powerset wise.

the blood fury mechanic gives you recharge and puffs up your abilities when you consume them. like the pbaoe you can do gets bigger and strong if your at max stacks (the button will light up to prompt you). the hawk power is similar, powering up at 5 stacks of blood fury. you get a punchy heal+hot available every 2m base if i recall, and a teleport to mob aoe rhat does more damage if youre far away when you use it. plus, you can throw an unkindness of ravens flock at your foes.

earth is a good one. but you can't beat the theme with thorns! you get ranged, a final nuke that does three-hit knockback, toxic dots on the attacks, a pbaoe spine burst. plus, you dont have to wait for the things to pop out anymore, and can stay all thorny. slotting wise, you have much opportunity for variance in thorns! so, purple sets can be stacked up which will help you get that nice recharge on 5x in a power, and help once your incarnates push you above the regular diminishing returns on enhancement diversity. energy is good too, it used to be a fashion, but has a single target focus I can't get behind in today's overmobbed paragon city. savage is exceptional, the teleport is nice. but, ya, I'd recommend thorns!

i want to tell you that I'm very famous in CoH, you should know that about me. people ask me about my costumes, i can tell theyre clicking on me. there's so many storm about these days, all packing an unslotted O² boost, if that at all, making pretend at being a blaster, sacrificing a support prim/secondary for water spout (tornado), and a lightning cloud that looks cool 🌩 if you color it purpleish. and a bad repel. whats the answer? how can i save Paragon city? electric control / electric affinity. it is awesome. yes, its a critical failing that empowering circuit doesnt stack, but insulating is decent, the confuse is up like plant, the sleep patch is great, jolting chain is every third ability use, and even defribulate is pretty special. so, single handedly, I'm healing us through lowbie tfs, saving the day. honoroit, the selfless, youre probably thankful - say my name when you pray.

the new ones are good. do you think he slept with his mother? the architecture, reused and cyclic. bene geserit likes in the fremen. legends are seeded, then fill in with time to form tradition, politic, and religion. miracles manifested, sure as grown. dune did a good job of showing such, and vielneuve's has been exceptional so far, kupo.

some of the happiest memories of my life are from WoW. Not raiding at high level ones, but things like boasting our e-peen mag in motorcycles with sidecars, or the odd gnome pair who were just 'there' during your vanilla level up forays into alliance space. world dragons, darkmoon faire, whats on at the theater in kara tonight? you know, one can get addicted to anything - like goat's cheese and raisins, italian fashion, or turtle soup and buttered toast, or eggy soldiers. you, take care of yourself. glad you feel free.

has anyone tried out storm / ice? it seems that frigid protection (30ft), cold damage on the whole, and frozen aura might be nice with (anything) storm. ive tried storm/elec affinity, and enjoy that, but am so upset by empowering circuit being expensive and underpowered -> because it doesnt stack. so I'll probably focus on blaster for storm, as Im super happy with how seismic/kin works and havent the strength for another kin right now. (so far, on blasters, i think the real winner this patch is psi. my psi/mental is like a fortunata with no nonsense now its got extra cones.)

ill check again tomorrow and update for power names, it was on a mind/mental blaster. patch is great so far, the storm fields making dfb look trippy - and people dying to zombie lady bc o2 boost they dont use 😀 .

skip electric fence and force of thunder. otherwise, good things await. you can put the end mod dmg bonus'y ones in dynamo. electrical mastery (epic power pool) adds a decent cone, a res armor, emp blast (surprisingly useful), and 'i am resist tank for 2m' mode. big cds on those last 2. i put 2 recharge in each and leave them aside. with hasten and that it becomes reasonable. you can micro the 10s crash (no end) using power sink, or just pop a couple blues. i play /elec manip on an elec primary, so there is almost never an end issue, ever. i hear storm is hungry tho, so /elec may assist. good luck, have fun!
