I have one of almost all primaries. I can't comment on the stats, but "feel" wise, I personally think that the hand blasts sets only come second Dual Pistols (ninja stance is mandatory). However, DP/Nin doesn't seem to unsheath the katana, unlike the blast sets... must be because of the DP redraw. Archery is another thematically sound choice, though I feel that the bow to blade to bow switching is a bit janky. I gave up on AR and Beam because of the animation bug (weapons firing from your feet instead of the muzzle). Once this is fixed, I will surely make them 😃

I've been doing Seer Marino's arc with every new toon I cough up. It's one of my favourite arcs. And yes, every single time, the 3rd mission would always point the wrong way. It varies: sometimes there would be no marker, sometimes there would be one somewhere on the map, yet the pin would still point to the office door (2nd mission). I usually remedy this by doing another mission, preferably in a different zone. And when i come back to Mercy, the erring map pointer would rectify itself. Edit: I think I may have found a solution to Seer Marino's 3rd mission. After the second mission, exit the Arachnos office BEFORE you call Marino for the next mission. This solution has worked for me several times now. However, just these past few days, most of my St. Martial contacts (Sonata, Jezebel, Hard Luck, Croupier) would have missions that would point to the Kill Longbow + Rob Family event. Exiting zone or the game doesn't help. I had to abandon mission then talk to the contact again to get the proper mission door map marker. This has never happened with any of my previous (50+) toons.

Aye!!! I'll then have a concept with which to use Leviathan Mastery. (So far I can only reconcile a couple of toons for it). And please have an alt skin for the henchmen that look like ghost pirates.

I did once on a dp sent. He had a macro that would switch ammo type along with build and (slight variation of) costume--cybertech jacket and resitance pants highlight colours. Each build would optimise the ammo type like damage and chance to burn for incendiary, slows for cryo rounds, etc. But that was part of his concept. Incarnates didn't factor in so well with the forced cooldown of switching builds, but I didn't mind. Expensive too. On regular toons, no. Each toon has his own personality which is evident in his fighting style and hence build. If I really wanted a different build direction on a particular power combo that I really enjoy, I just roll a new one with the same powers. Yes, even my spiders. I have several toons with duplicate power sets but totally different builds (plus personality and play style).

Do your ninjas run out of end? My ninjas will sometimes just stand there because they can't attack because they're out of end. Don't know how to fix that, and it doesn't happen with my demons, bots, mercs or zombies. =(

Oh nose! now they're breeding. =D

wolves and lionesses look like they're doggies and kitties picked up by the scruff. So demon's aren't as bad as beasts. I think Group fly aesthetically works best for Bots as they even get rocket boosters on their feet. I wouldn't mind a winged demon version. I have never tried it on thugs, mercs, or zombies, but I'm assuming they'd look like regular characters when flight is toggled given how group flight affects team members.

I get that sometimes. But there are other times that the pistols display normal. on a different note, the pistol attacks are kinda meh on an MM (both stats and animation). IMHO not worth taking.

I'm also slipping in some CC procs where I can, so it's not just damage, like chance for recharge slow, disorient, etc. 😃

Right. I think I got a good grip on it now. @Luminara's build was a little too expensive for now, so I just replaced some sets with what I had in my stash. I pretty much did a mix and match of both builds. I'll take it for a test run later. Just went on a test drive. She handles like a dream now. HP barely dips, I still get a little winded at times, but manageable. I'm thinking twice about Soul Patron and may go with Body Mastery. Def, Res and Damage will just keep going up as I earn more slots (and inf for IOs). Now she's a fun toon. Thanks again, @Bill Z Bubba and Luminara. 😃

Thank you Mr. Bubba. I'll give my feeble brain some time absorb it for a few minutes.

That's another thing. I'm not sure of what tertiary pools to take. My usual power pools are: Combat Teleport for melee toons (not a must) Fighting, but I'm worried that my end can't handle tough and weave toggles Force of Will for travel and a nifty knockdown (+1 tax power) and Unrelenting Leaping just for CJ... but I can skip Force of Will altogether and just go with super jump as WP has enough heals/regen. And I'm planning to take Soul Patron Power pool. On the initial build, I took all primary powers; secondary to T7.

I'm a closet roleplayer, so concept and theme matter a lot to me. I finally decided to roll a staff/willpower with a meh concept at best. I like the look and I like the animation (yes even the breakdancing T4) enough to not mind the wooden sound effects. I just hit 35 arduously, taking months on and off. This is the level that I gradually upgrade from SOs to IO sets since I have enough slots for some nice set bonuses. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I can't figure out slotting. either my def/res is too low or my attacks are lacking or I'm guzzling too much end OR both of them three! If any of you could post a decent levelling build to help guide me, it would be much appreciated. P.S. This is the first time I've taken Staff, and the only other time I've taken WP is on a Sent.

Not complaining, but 14 conversions...in a 3 to a set?

Oof. The RNG gods don't like YOU! haha. I've noticed that when I pray to the said gods, with sincere intention in my heart and mind (sometimes with an offering of a shot of tequila or rum), that I still don't get what I want. 😃 -
Sewer King is right at the entrance if you go in KR. 😃 Navigating KR's wide empty streets from Pocket D to the tunnel entrance wasn't that hard... at least compared to weaving in and out of Grandville's 3D maze. had to literally stop every few steps to check around me. haha.

+1 for a pair of Deadpool Katanas or Kratos blades. or a shield. Actually, I'd be happy even with just a scabbard on the side. Hey, they gave us dual wielding police-issue holsters, so there's hope. Shoulder holster chest detail would also be good.

@Clave Dark 5 update: Tried getting the Sewer Dweller in Grandville at level 1. Must've died a dozen times haha. It was a fun challenge, but I kinda gave up. Thanks for the tip. I got Sewer King instead. 😃 I've decided to play him as an über-gimped toon. No training. So I only have T1 primary and secondary, sprint, health, stamina and brawl with 1 slot each (I don't even have access to Rest). Because, you know... he's a failed experiment, not a super hero/villain. Once I get to 50, maybe I'll give him other powers on a secondary build. 😃

Access to Powers At All Levels After Acquisition
Six-Six replied to Maginary's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I'm afraid I don't see your logic of how my not patronising P2W equates to no argument. What I'm saying if you make the game too easy, it will become boring and people will go find something more interesting. It's already easy enough as it is. You're missing the point of earning your way through a game, not just "paying to win" like other MMOs that give you OP-ness for an equivalent amount of cash. For what? so you can laude over other players that you're stronger??? When everyone else is super, no one is. And then you lose the incentive to retain players. Have you ever played a game on God-mode? I don't know about you, but it's fun for about 3 seconds. then it ruins the point of the game. Let me ask you, if I may. How long does it take you to get all of your powers? A couple of weeks of slow grind? A week with XP boost? A couple of hours in a farm? It takes me half an hour to an hour to get to 20 without XP boost and just by doing contacts. I even turn XP off so I enjoy the lower levels more and/or do a lot of low-level Pillar missions. I still believe that the point of the journey is not merely to arrive. You made a comment earlier: "To each their own, I would find it fun so I suggested it." which didn't sit right with me. It doesn't seem sincere. Everyone enjoys the game differently, but the game must be revised so I can enjoy it more. Like I said, there's already a way for you to get what you want with very little effort. -
Access to Powers At All Levels After Acquisition

I don't do P2W. I've done fine without her, and anything she peddles can be earned through content... except vanity pets. sometimes I get vanity pets. -
Access to Powers At All Levels After Acquisition
Six-Six replied to Maginary's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
If you want to utterly destroy someone, give them what they want... or something to that effect. I think that having access to powers early on without earning them will lead to a downfall of the game. You say you want it to be more community driven, but after the initial novelty, you fail to see how doing so will drive away the community. There will simply be no more challenge, and people will move on to the next game. I'm with @MTeague. I enjoy the landing in Mercy with just 1 power and slowly navigating most of the lowbie to mid level content. I barely play any endgame; I shelf most toons as soon as they ding 50. I like the challenge of facing foes when I haven't earned x power yet, or I don't have enough slots to make that power effective, or my recovery can't handle that toggle yet. I have toons that only train until level 10, then go the rest of the way until 50. I have toons that don't train at all and try to make it with just T1/T2 primary, T1 secondary, brawl, sprint... no Rest. The P2W lady and I have long been on non-speaking terms, and I don't miss her. Besides, there's already a way to get what you suggested: power levelling. You can reach 50 in no time with double XP and a good farm map (plus a generous farmer). Or is door sitting too much of an effort? -
Wow, thanks Clave. Like I said, he just kinda "evolved". I was working on another concept, but things just started going a totally different direction. I particularly like how the Receivers and Corsair mouthpiece flow into each other. The shoulders is called Post Appocalyptic, then a dropdown for the spiked version. Haven't really fleshed out the write up. His name is a nod to Rats of NIMH [National Institute of Mental Health] which left a mark on me as a kid (an entire epoch ago haha--specially that one scene when they're just about to enter the bush hideout with the huge rat guard with electric arrowhead spear). So yeah, he's a lab rat gone awry and I suppose out for revenge or redemption. The entire savage + beast stance thing just really works for him; but I'm leaning towards Bio's powers for the concept. Anyhoo, definitely planning to brave Grandville right off the bat to get Sewer Dweller badge.
-
Ooh. I particularly like how the chest pattern, chest detail and aura align. Nice work (translation: I may or may not steal it sometime soon). Meanwhile, this one evolved unexpectedly... NIMH Rod. Savage/Bio Scrapper.

Yeah, I feel the same way about /Time. And you're right. low level powers tend to feel sluggish. I haven't tried Ice, Fire and Emp yet, but everything else I have. Among those, my favourites are /Elec, /Dark, and /Rad in that order. I don't care much for FF but maybe because I took with bots and it felt redundant. /Traps is a bit underwhelming in general, especially since it doesn't come with a heal... though i like it on other ATs. I don't like /Nature and /Kin because they feel like cheating and I like a bit of challenge. Storm is alright, a bit on the fence with it, but maybe because I paired with Ninjas. My /elec is still levelling, but it's fairly stronk. My GM killer is bots/dark/soul. I
