  1. Thank you for that correction. I only saw part of season 1 of Gotham, so clearly I missed that.
  2. The magic-origin, electrical/invulnerable tank has entered the room. Original animated teaser: Latest live-action teaser: Honestly, this is looking very good. I had fears after the Captain Marv...ahem, Shazam! movie that anything connected with that brand would be campy, but if the teaser is setting the pace for the movie, this looks like a magic supervillain version of The Terminator, and I'm down for that.
  3. I forgot to note one rumor floating around which is, at some point expect to see the Court of Owls. If so, this will mark their first live action appearance. I'd expect it would likely be a cameo, perhaps of the Court taking notice of Batman for the first time, setting yet another stage for another movie. And if this all is true, having the Gotham Knights video game come out, with it's focus on the Court might help bring awareness of this group to a wider audience.
  4. I've been holding back one I'd dearly love to see: Bookworm. Pretty sure he's only been in the '66 Adam West series, so a very campy version, but I can see great potential of a Bookworm reinvented as a information junkie with photographic memory, scanning fantastic amounts of webpages and e-books, and with a mind capable of collating all sorts of minutia collected from his readings into master plans. As a result he's a master hacker, blackmailer, and manipulator on a Big Brother scale. I only wish Roddy McDowell was still alive to play this serious version of him.
  5. Might that have had costume components unique to Korea? And if so, can they be ported over to the current game?
  6. The Flash movie is filming, and they've dropped a teaser. Costume looks excellent. Is that...is that...
  7. I'm assuming if anyone is popping into this thread, they'll know the trailer spoilers are flying. Why else would one be here? I would not have realized it was Colin Ferrell. The look is remarkable, and strangely disturbing because I feel I've seen that face before somewhere. Even the coffee cup has a green stripe. Nice touch. Per IMDB, 4 villains (that we've been told), or perhaps 3 villains & 1 anti-hero/rogue. This makes me think they'll not do a full take-down this picture, but will deal with one, maybe two, and set the stage for subsequent films. I'm hoping they've a very, very slow burn in mind for introducing the Joker to this new telling. Batman's Rogues Gallery is the best in the business, and it's time to mine it's full depth. ( I'd love to finally have a proper, scary live-action Mr. Freeze or see Clock King brought to the franchise in full compulsive, precision psycho-genius mode. ) In fact, I think I'd rather have a cameo from Condiment King before yet another Joker appearance.
  8. I see what you did there. LOL!
  9. Sounds almost like the premise for Sky High. Individuals with seemingly useless powers like being a human glow stick, or being a shapeshifter but only as a hamster trying to find their way in a social group of flight, super strength, and invulnerability.
  10. I would simply add to this that I just hit 50 on an energy/energy Sentinel and he proved good in both solo and team environments. Not that I'd do a Leroy Jenkins with him, but he was solid. If I'd chosen energy/invulnerable, I might have considered some additional aggression when running solo. I also previous took a water/willpower Sentinel to 50, and he's a heap of a lot of fun. My only drawback with him is that I had endurance issues in his rise through the ranks. I patched that by doubling up on endurance reduction in some of the willpower powers. Again, invulnerable may have been the easier, effective choice.
  11. We've given you a full year to correct your mistake. Have you played Myst yet? 😉
  12. First you trash them for the cliche, now you trash them for the originality. 😉
  13. There comes a point though (perhaps "trap" is a better word) where the fandom embraces the cliche and are disappointed if the cliches are not used. Just ask Ryan of YouTube's "Pitch Meeting" fame or just watch any Star Wars work. Sooner or later "I have a bad feeling about this" pops up. Oh, and for a change up, how about "giant energy beams from the sky"? Galactus is coming...
  14. Did somebody mention "raining zombies"? MCU spoiler alert
  15. I remember doing that way back in summer 2019, but...I could have sworn there were NPC people inside. Maybe supers? I don't recall specifics, just an impression.
  16. While I'm in favor of minimal effects (I'm glaring at you, bowl of the Mothership Raid), I regret to suggest human nature may be against you, anyway, even if the minimal effects were granted. All I have to do is look at team ice shields, which have minimal effects, but most of the ice wielders I've worked with still hit you with that clunky massive iceberg look.
  17. The Halloween Banners event: Just out of curiosity, how do our colorblind players adapt to this? 4 colors, randomly place on the map, and folks shouting out in chat the destinations based on color. I've heard that elsewhere different shade/grayscale is sometimes used, but these four colors appear the same shade, and there's no prominent background patterns like stripes or dots. Of course, we'd probably not think to be yelling out "green polkadot" either.
  18. I'm really hoping the opening of the multi-verse allows for another T'Challa to cross universes and plant himself firmly in the MCUniverse, maybe not as king, but as a Black Panther. Then we'd have both Shuri Panther and a T'Challa Panther. (They really need to bring in Hunter, the original White Wolf as well.)
  19. Useful because there's not much else left of you when they wire you into a spider. How does a cyber-spider sit in a dentist's chair anyway? 🤔
  20. Excellent summation! Thank you very much!
  21. I'D love a Captain Carter movie! Peggy has always been one of my favorite MCU characters, and the What If...? appearance strikes the right balance of brains, beauty, brawn, humor, and empathy. I'm guessing the question would be if Chris Evans would want back in, especially as it would likely be a depowered Steve Rogers he'd be portraying. I understand it was a painstaking process to bring that version of the character to the screen in "The First Avenger". Regarding T'Challa, I respect their decision as creators to retire the character, but I believe this is a mistake. While I understand the gesture is an homage to Chad, a character should transcend his/her actors. Where would Sherlock Holmes be if the character was retired with the very popular Basil Rathbone? We'd have lost dynamic performances and interesting interpretations by Christopher Plummer, Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, Jeremy Brett, Ian McKellan, Johnny Lee Miller, and MCU alumni Robert Downy, Jr. and Benedict Cumberbatch. I've not exhausted the list, either. We've had at least two major recastings in the MCU so far (Hulk/Banner, War Machine/Rhodey), I believe the character of T'Challa could have been a third, and still have been tastefully and respectfully done.
  22. Do I look like I'm working a commune, comrade? 😛
  23. organization and efficiency appeal to my darker side, so maybe: Malta - though the chance to end up as the central nervous system of a robot doesn't have a lot of appeal. Gunslinger sounds pretty good, though. Sky Raiders - if it weren't for that popinjay with captain's bars, they could be a serious threat. Duray may be paranoid crazy, but he does inspire loyalty and efficiency. Gold Brickers
