  1. I do miss the cysts and voidstalker. Once I started becoming skilled at the game, the cysts were one of the few things that made me start sweating. It was frightening and exhilarating at the same time. I gather they were nerfed because people stopped putting kheldians on the team lest they encounter these, but that's just sad. Disconnect these from Kheldian presence, or make a kheldian presence like a 1% chance increase to seeing them above norm, and hopefully the team will not be so biased going forward. I likewise miss the Quant gunners who could wreck a character. These current ones shoot like they're using Nerf ammunition. As to playing them, I've only played 1 warshade, and I really wasn't sure what to do with the human-form. I really should go back and review him soon.
  2. I've never seen an equivalent in my time on gold side. My guess is that, by the time of Going Rogue, the kiosks were seen as obsolete by the OG developers. That said, if the information could be tied to another graphic, then perhaps both the red and the green newspaper stands in Praetoria could be keyed to display the information. Alternatively, though they have posters rather than information screens these prevalent pillars in the city might do:
  3. Where do the announcements for the theme of the week post, and when? I've seen these results for some time, but never saw the announcement of them.
  4. If the Super Stunner is the only one they're running away from finishing, you are a lucky bug. A great many of the Penny Yin TFs I've run of late have half to 2/3 of the team bolt for the next big mob group with only 60%-70% of the Freaks dropped in the previous group. That's not counting Freak rezzes. There's a disconcerting opinion out there, based on player "posture" (that is, how they act and move characters), that finishing a group is beneath them and is for the "lesser" members of the team to deal with. In reality, it is the responsible members of the team who remain behind to clean up. I've even had one or two PYTFs where they smash through every group to the PCPD door and then are baffled why the door won't open. It's the trail of mess left behind, "teammates". If they're new, I can partially forgive them for not understanding the rez situation, but even then, finish the group off. Honestly, these people will drive me to join the I ♥️Snarky fan club. I can only hope the club has T-shirts in my size.
  5. I'd thought the same thing when I first signed up. It was a tremendous disappointment to learn that we only had "X" number of spaces for naming and that past that point, it would start overwriting previous stuff.
  6. Some of that stuff resets over time, does it not? And from what I recall some of the other stuff multiple people can name and it will accept each one, because the name is specific to the account.
  7. Agreed, however, I understand that Starfield will focus on 100 star systems with 1000 planets, a comparative few, and greatly expand the possibilities planetside, while No Man's Sky focuses on the vastness of its galaxies, with trillions of planets and moons, but a minimal amount of variety on the planets. A microscopic quality focus as opposed to a macroscopic quantity focus. Unquestionably it will be a competitor to NMS (assuming it is built right. Anthem still sticks in my craw), but the differences leave room for both games to co-exist.
  8. I recently re-entered Praetoria after a long absence as well, so I asked the forums for insight for archetype choice for solo play gold side, and the dominant answer was "brute". I now have a super strength/invulnerable brute working through the Loyalist story, and ambushes (so far) are not a threat.
  9. Starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Russell Crowe Far more violent than anything I've seen before regarding Kraven. There's a red-band trailer out there, too, which is surprising, because this one is more violent and bloody than I'd thought a standard trailer would be. I'm puzzled by the revelation that Kraven has powers. I thought the comics established that he was a normal human highly honed to combat and hunting, with possibly an occasional boost from rare witch doctor potions.
  10. "Main purpose" = "he was ordered to do so", though if anyone even has a chance at fixing that sorry mess, it is Filoni.
  11. Oh, bother...has it reached law stage? I thought it was still around the transition from hypothesis to theory.
  12. Wait, I came in 2nd?! Progress!
  13. I've been reading speculation of various iconic characters and famous actors making appearances within the upcoming Ahsoka. As I ponder the possibilities, one makes sense, however, and might be very organic to the story, providing closure on an important plot point in the overall canon of Star Wars. Having Luke Skywalker appear, even briefly, after Ezra Bridger is (presumably) found would serve to have a Jedi Knight, THE Jedi Knight, conduct the knighting of Ezra Bridger. I don't think I'm spoiling anything 5 years later by saying that Ezra Bridger left the Rebels series still technically a padawan, though his skills and new-found maturity at the end demonstrated he's ready to be a young knight. While it technically is not necessary for his life to proceed, a knighthood is closure, and would follow the precedent of Ezra's master, Kanan, who, with no knight handy, was knighted by the Force itself using the (apparently redeemed) Force ghost of the Temple Guard (aka the Grand Inquisitor) within the Jedi temple. There is, however, one possible counter to this: Ahsoka herself. We've seen Ahsoka repeatedly say she's no longer a Jedi, but there've been hints, and if you know the work of Dave Filoni, you know such things are never just background noise, that Ahsoka has possible embraced the Jedi path again. Hints like Clone Wars season 7 where, when Yoda questions whether Ahsoka is ready to return to the order, she doesn't say she'll never return, she says "not yet". Then there's the title of her first live-action episode: "The Jedi", suggesting not only that others perceive her as such, but that she's embraced that path again. When she's referred to as a Jedi, she doesn't counter it, like she did when squaring off against Vader. If it's true that she's finally returned to the path, Ahsoka herself may knight Ezra. But Ahsoka was also a padawan in the Order and never (previously) a knight, so how could that happen? The answer is Luke. We've never seen how these two have met, and that may be a flashback in the series. It may very well be that Luke convinces Ahsoka to return to the Order, and therefore Luke himself that knights her, allowing her in turn to knight Ezra. All highly speculative (more so because I don't read canon books or comics, and therefore don't know how things play out there), but either suggested plot point allows both Luke to make an appearance, and Ezra to receive his knighthood finally. There is, however, (heh, heh) one possible counter to all of this: Kanan Jarrus. How? Remember Kanan's knighting. It occurred in the Jedi temple on Lothal, a wellspring of force power, such that those not trained in projecting a force ghost in their afterlife may still make an appearance. Kanan was knighted by one of these. It would be a tremendous surprise cameo, but, as it's already strongly hinted that one or more Jedi temples are at play in the series' storyline, it could be that Kanan himself appears to Ezra in one of these temples, and knights him in a manner reminiscent of Kanan's own. Of course, this means that Freddie Prinze, Jr. would get to play Kanan in live action. I'll make another speculation: Filoni may bring additional characters unique to Rebels into live action. Ryder Azadi, for example, who looked so much like his voice actor, Clancy Brown, that having Clancy play the restored Lothal governor makes sense. Jai Kell or Mart, members of the Rebels at the fall of the Empire on Lothal.
  14. Well, yes, we'll not be building the Victorian "gingerbread" look with the big wrap-around porch and backyard BBQ pit area. That is, unless the pressurized bubble is huge. EDIT: That suddenly reminds me...I wonder what the maximum piece count will be for base building. That was one of the frustrating aspects of building in NMS: both a single base limited piece count, and a character max piece count. I remember spending a lot of time having to constantly redo a base because of these.
  15. I see this, and first thought is: "How many cats does it take to change..."
  16. That, I think, is what the wiki means. I just reported it was there. I'll put in the link again, here.
  17. Fringe, Warehouse 13, Eureka...just about every show running during certain years, even juggernaut N.C.I.S. I've not watched those particular episodes in years, and I still cringe at the Microsoft Surface Pro moments when everything suddenly slowed down and almost intimately watched an actor set up a Surface and start using it. Warehouse 13 had the Toyota Prius, the only car on the show everyone kept talking about, and either riding in, or standing prominently adjacent to it. I always felt that in 50 years, when the shows reach classic status, there'll be a debate as to whether they should use AI and CGI to edit out the clearly-weird "ads".
  18. It truly should be that simple. Unfortunately, in my case, that goes back to...
  19. I'm very much interested in Starfield. Exceptionally so. However, I also was exceptionally interested in Anthem, and everyone can see what happened there. I'll cautiously watch, and not buying on Day One. Maybe Day 90, depending on what conditions are like at that time. Every big game will have big patches needed upon release, it's the managing of it that I'm watching for. But I've a more immediate problem. I've a good video card. Www.systemrequirementslab.com, aka "Can You Run It", says my card can handle 100% minimal requirements and 92% recommended requirements of the games currently released, but the minimum card required for Starfield exceeds mine, and the recommended card significantly so, when a side-by-side benchmark is done. This could push access to the game back indefinitely, while I save for the next video card, and I'll be shooting for the Recommended level, Starfield's look practically demands this, so it could be a bit.
  20. A moderator cannot make the adjustment? I'd find that unfortunate if someone typed a blue streak on the way out of the game, and it couldn't be altered by a moderator.
  21. I realize not everyone is a badge hound, but I'm puzzled why, over the last couple of years, I've consistently seen teams ignoring earning the following badges, sometimes deliberately ignoring them: 1. Safeguard Mission exploration badges (presumably Mayhem missions as well, though I've not been on these enough to gauge.) If you know where to look, it takes maybe 30 seconds longer. 2. Doorbuster Badge - Jail doors destroyed badge. Yeah, it will not be had on any one try, but considering the number of times people run the Penny Yin Task Force, taking an extra minute or two to destroy all the jail doors would add up over time. Citadel TF has a lot of them too, and I believe the map is reused several times in that one. And as a side note, no matter how long I've been in the game I'm still learning things I would have thought obvious to me. Today's discoveries, while reading the Safeguard page is: 1. Weapons Raid Side Mission Rewards - these are actually separate from the Mission Completions rewards. Those times I've found them in my powers tray, I'd assumed they were there as Completion rewards. Gives me a bit of a reason to do the side missions now, especially the stealth-spotting IR Goggles. Those would really help against annoying Night Widows once yellow inspirations run out. 2. Farming Safeguard missions for badge credits - certain conditions apply, which is probably why I didn't know it could be done.
  22. I've only been in it looking around randomly for 10 minutes at roughly 7am Eastern Daylight Time, but I had no issues with it.
  23. LOL...NERF Batman, not Nerfed Batman. More like...
  24. *inhales with excitement* *runs off to make Nerf Batman
  25. So this guy is a bit like Josh at Let's Game It Out, though less Chaos Personified. I kind of like it. He had a reasonable critique. I just wished he'd come visit Homecoming. He probably would have seen things he'd never see at that other destination...like population. Two chopsticks up.
