I can see that on Everlasting. I play on Excelsior myself. Now that doesn't mean it never happens mind you, I'm sure it does, i simply never seeit being advertised personally is all.

Melodramatic, maybe. But considering that people make these missions strictly for farming and nothing else, I would say the term exploit is accurate. No reason to sugar coat what it is, it's not like the Devs give a damn anyway, so calling it what it truly is will hardly draw any negative attention to it from the Development team. That's just my opinion.

I see this used a lot in defense of AE. However, I would give my left (enter sexual organ here) to see a chart on just how many people actually use it for the content and how many people exploit the hell out of it to Power Level. I can say this much, I have yet to see anyone in LFG chat request to build or join a team for AE story content, all I ever see is "hitters sitters blah blah blah."

If memory serves me correctly, its original design was no XP. It was missions only. I could be wrong, but this is how I am remembering it. If memory serves me further, the reason for that was to prevent people from exploiting it for Power Leveling...something of which has always been looked down upon by the original Devs.

I'm not even going to get in to all the reasons why this is the best idea known to mankind since the invention of the wheel. /100%

I wish like hell that I had finished college. I actually went to college for computer science. Fairly certain coding would have eventually been a course or two. Had I finished college instead of just my prerequisites, I would have built a pre i5 (with all the goodies of today) server by now, if nothing else but for my own pleasure. That means no aggro limit, all ambush mobs back in place, collision mechanics reversed back to a point where we don't bump each other all over the place when we go near each other and my own little addition, I would give all NPCs across the board a resistance/defense/health pool adjustments for longer standing power. Sadly my knowledge of code is at a very basic level and I simply do not have the know-how to do so. 😞

Ever lose your influence/infamy? Can't remember out of the millions of characters that you have which one of them you left all that cash on? Well, I sure as hell have, on many occasions. Sure, we can email it to ourselves and leave it there; I do practice this believe it or not; when I can remember...but I'm not perfect and damn it, I am getting old, my memory is getting old, even the flatulence from my backside is starting to smell old. In fact, I forget to email myself all that cash all the damn time. Call it screaming kids, call it nagging GF, call it, "Oops, I'm late for work!" if you like, but I sure as hell am very guilty of leaving my cash on a character, logging in a week later and can't remember for the life of me where I left that cash. Then of course I am left to trying to figure out which character I played last just to see I had logged in 12 different characters that day....sigh...good grief! Let the endless logins and logouts commence until I find the right one! So how about we get something that shows us how much Influence/Infamy we have on each character from the character select screen? Sure would be one hell of a QoL addition to the game if you ask me.

What's more disturbing is that he is in a room....with bunk beds. 0.o The5 O'clock shadow tells me he might be a bit old for bunk beds. Still living with mommy I would assume.

It isn't. Not sure why you took it there. Somebody was a smartass with me, I was a smartass back, then you chimed in with your cheerleading pom-poms. What's not to understand? Had nothing to do with KB to KD's at all. Not even in the slightest. People disagree with me all the time, but when somebody takes it over the line, I respond in kind. Always have, always will. That will never change about me. So people can thumbs down and all that crap if they want to, won't change a damn thing. I try to be respectful to everyone, but once somebody crosses that line, the gloves come off. Now, if people want to jump on me for it, so be it, I have enough fight in me for every damn last one of them.

Depends on the team. On teams that like Knock Back, I can see it being extreme fun having 8 players all using knock back powers, the chaos could be a lot of fun. Hell, even I, the Knock Back Hater from Hell would love to get in on that action, lol.

I thought you could slot them for either regular pet enhancements on recharge intensives? That is strange indeed.

It would be better if powers that did knock back, had a separate slot reserved just for said Sudden Acceleration IOs. I mean, if I am in control of my powers and how to use them, why can I not decide the severity of the knock? The largest complaint here is that players who don't want Knock Back, have to literally use up a slot to make it knock down instead. Powers with knock back need to have a reserved slot for this. Either that or it needs to be a toggle.

Let's be real though, how many people actually complains to the GM's because they were kicked from a team? I wouldn't think very many, if any at all would waste time to report a player because said player kicked them from a team. Seems awfully petty if they did. Kicking somebody off a team is not something you would expect to get in trouble over. Even more so, who would even harass somebody because they used knockback? I can't think of anyone who would do that either. Worst case, they might say in all caps, "STOP KNOCKING BACK MY TARGETS!!! WHY ARE YOU DOING THAT!!!" Most of the time they simply ask for said player to stop and if they don't, they kick them from the team, best case, the person who has issue with it, will leave the team like I do. So even if you were able to answer this question that Luminara put to you, I don't think the answer would be anything that would give any amount of evidence to support Luminara's point of view. Personally, I just think Luminara is just very lucky to not have seen these issues get brought up on a team, either that or they don't PUG very often. I don't want to call Luminara a liar, because I feel they are being genuine when they say they have never seen anyone get kicked or yelled at for using knockback, however, I am not a liar either, I have seen it happen on many occasions...even since this game has come back. Regardless, I seriously doubt any reports would have been made over such disagreements in play styles. But that does not mean that these arguments/kickings don't happen. I will say this much, the worst I have ever done personally is rage quit a team when playing as my Tank because a player absolutely insisted on using Knock Back AoE's. I finally got sick of it and said, "You don't need a damn Tank, you need a catcher's mitt..." and then dropped team.

Foot Stomp never did Knockback. Hand Clap on the other hand...but with a KB to KD in it, it's wonderful now.

Why would Foot Stomp get you scolded? It's a Knock Down unless you Foot Stomp Clockwork.
