Have you even casually browsed the forums? There's lots of posts about it. Personally, I've tried it on all 4 different ATs: Defender, Corruptor, Controller, and Mastermind. I like it on my Electric Corruptor the best, but that's because I prefer DPS primary to support. I found the Defender the least satisfying, but again, that's probably because I prefer DPS over support, in general.

As was stated previously, players still need to go to a store/vendor to equip empty slots, or to replace one kind of enhancement with another. The upgrade button doesn't change that. It won't magically insert new enhancements into empty slots. Nor will it replace TOs with DOs, or DOs with SOs, or SOs with IOs. It simply upgrades whatever is slotted already.

Ah, good point. I hadn't considered that.

Hell, I'd be happy with an Arachnos invasion, or any standard villain group, generated randomly. We don't need to make it overly complicated.

I never claimed to be talking for anyone but myself?

Yeah, and as we've seen with the recent attempt at a simple QoL change to allow for upgrading enhancements, people will bitch and moan about EVERYTHING, no matter how trivial. I swear to gob, there's just no pleasing everybody. Even if the devs plainly say, "Hey, this intended to make playing red side appealing," there will be at least 10 pages of whinging about how it's not "fair" to blue side. (edit) The irony here is that I'm a blue side player, predominantly. I don't like red side because it's depressing (and I have my own personal issues with that). But I have played red side occasionally, and was even part of an active red side VG, for awhile. But without additional incentives (like my friends playing red), I don't actively choose red side.

There's always one. "Did you bring enough for the whole class?" NO, I DID NOT. BITE ME. 😄 (I'm joking: please don't take offense. I'm not disagreeing with you.)

[Shield Defense] Invisible Shield for Costumes

I actually like this idea better than just "temporarily and arbitrarily turn on double rewards for a period of time", because it gives the players agency, and an incentive to run significant red side content. I don't necessarily like the idea of prompting the villains for "which zone do you want to attack", because we all know they're going to pick "Atlas Park" every time. But I do like the idea of villains successfully completing a SF triggering an event on blue side. The event could be random, or could correspond to a parallel zone as the SF in question. For example, the Cap au Diable SF could trigger an event in Steel Canyon. And granting double Inf rewards for villains during the event is a good incentive for playing redside and completing SFs on redside (instead of constantly grinding the same old blue side TFs).

I believe so. Think of it as a Break Free power. -
Discussion: Disabling XP No Longer Increases Influence

I think that it will decrease the rate of inflation, and improve the value of the Inf earned. That's the way it always works, with any currency: less is more. -
While it sounds like a good idea at first glance, I doubt it will actually solve the problem. What will happen is that we'll see a surge of Null the Gull Vigilantes that go slumming for double (quadruple) XP for a brief period of time, and then they'll all shift back to blue side when the period is over. Even in its hey day, red side never appealed to most players. It has always been significantly underpopulated, even in the best of times, right after CoV launched. We all created our villains back then to check out the new content, and a few of us even got a few to 50. Then later we all we went back to playing heroes, as usual.

Where does Inf come from, daddy? -
What new sets? I haven't noticed any new sets for Sentinels?

I'm not sure I understand. Have you read the most recent patch notes? If so, are you reporting that nothing has changed, or that you're discovering the change isn't working as expected? AFAIK, the recent patch merely changed the ability to double the Inf when running AE farms exemplared and/or with patrol XP. That effectively reduced the net Inf earned by about 50%, but didn't eliminate it altogether. It did not change the ability to generate Inf: that was unchanged, and you still generate Inf by farming, either with or without exemplar/patrol XP.

I build my */Devices Blasters as "ranged Stalkers".

And don't forget that Willpower is often considered an "apology" for how badly Regen was nerfed, back in the day. WP is often called "the better Regen", because it offers both regen (albeit less than pure Regen) and layered resist/defense. But if you want pure +regen, Regen is still the best; however, if you want regen + armor, you go WP.
-
That happens to me from time to time, and it seems to resolve itself, eventually (in a few seconds/minutes). I think it's just lag between the visual display and the database lookup.

For Blaster secondaries, I like Temporal, Tactical, Devices, and Energy. For blapping (melee blastering), I recommend Atomic, Martial, or Darkness. But pretty much all of the secondaries are decent, depending on what you want to do. Rather than try to metagame in advance, why not just roll up a character you think will be fun, and see if you can make it work for you? HC gives us 1,000 character slots per shard, so you've plenty of room to try things out as you see fit.

I believe that Fire/* Blasters are the highest DPS, but I could be wrong, and will shortly be corrected by others, I'm sure.

Oddly enough, this change my alter how I create and level my alts. Many times, I'll create an alt and farm them up to level 22 or 27, just so that I can equip the level 25 or 30 common IOs (which are the functional equivalent of -1 and +1 SOs, respectively). But if I'm going to start getting SO drops more frequently/consistently starting at level 5, I won't necessarily have to do that as often (if at all). I'll be able to play the lower level characters and just slot the drops I get, because I can buy SOs and ignore/vendor the TOs and DOs.
