  1. The enhancement upgrade feature looks neat! Definitely a boon for new players or players that like to use regular enhancements. I'll definitely be making use of this feature on some of my alts. One concern though: DFB. If I run DFB often enough and with the right amount of luck, I could get SOs at levels 1-15 and then just keep upgrading them forever? That seems like a pretty good deal. Maybe too good? Or am I overthinking this?
  2. I expect that the "normal player" will feel the effects in their pocket book, as the reduced inflation will increase the value of their Inf.
  3. Yes, if you read the most recent patch notes carefully, you'll see that the devs fixed an exploit with exemplar missions in AE and patrol XP that reduces the amount of Inf generated. They did this to address problems with inflation that affects all players, even those who don't AE farm. There's been wailing and gnashing of teeth for a week about it. There's a 40-page thread going on and on about it, as well. Yes, you now make less Inf on those AE farms. But in the long run, the value of your reduced Inf increases, because less Inf in circulation makes it worth more. It will take a few weeks for the economy to stabilize accordingly.
  4. Actually, while they might have decreased the Inf generated by 50%, by reducing the amount of currency everywhere, they've actually increased the value of that Inf. The net effect is that your buying power is actually unchanged, especially as time goes forward and the effects of the change are allowed to settle across the entire playerbase/economy.
  5. Thanks for doing this. Sorry to be a kvetch, but... I don't suppose it would be too much to ask for some minimal HTML formatting to make it a bit easier to read? It's not quite a wall of text, but it's pretty dang close. Thanks!
  6. That's how markets work, my friend. As long as someone is willing to pay the higher price, then the goods will sell for that higher price. If you don't like it, bid lower and wait, like everyone else does. They seeded the market to set the cap on the prices, not the floor. Rare salvage was seeded at 1M Inf each. So it can never go over that cap. The bottom can fluctuate up and down as the market dictates.
  7. Sure, why not? +1
  8. Thanks, @RubyRed! I hope you're feeling better soon!

  10. I just did these in Port Oakes: Marconeville for Gangbuster and Fort Hades for Wolf Spiders.
  11. My original tanker from I2/I3 was Invuln/Energy. Then along came I4 and all of the other subsequent nerfs that just destroyed that build. I actually quit CoH over that, back in the day. Then I came back after a month or two, because I couldn't find a better MMO at the time. I recreated that character on HC as WP/Energy, just for nostalgia's sake. I loved the character concept, but rarely play him because it's such a pale reflection of its former glory. *sigh*
  12. Yes, I wish there was a +5 Booster that I could buy (for 5X the price of a +1 Booster, of course), so that I could only click once instead of five times.
  13. I'm not the one getting wrapped around the axle because someone disagreed with my suggestion; however, you appear to be. I said "No, thank you." You took that and ran with it, and I just tagged along for the ride. Thanks! 🙂
  14. I would make a sizable donation to leave the new Brawl in place as an optional temp power.
  15. I made no such claim: you did, and I merely accepted it as sufficient. 🙂
  16. What about my objection was not sensible? I merely indicated my opposition to your suggestion. That seems sensible enough to me. 🙂
  17. Yes, I believe so. Thanks anyway. 🙂
  18. Same. I've been posting any yellow salvage to sell at 10K.
  19. No, thank you. 🙂
  20. For quite a few people, the answer to your question is: "Yes." I'm not much of a marketer, but I do appreciate that playing the market is among the many different, valid, ways of playing CoH. It's nice to be able to get a nice chunk of change for being smart about how I sell my drops. I won't go out of my way to "farm" or "flip" for Inf, but I will try to "buy low and sell high", which is about as complicated as it gets, for me.
